Why is it so fucking hard for Sup Forums to accept that a show can equally have cute characters, great action scenes, serious moments, fanservice and slice of life in one single package?
none of these features are mutually exclusive, why is it only respectable when kenshiro gets serious, but not when hinatsuru ai wants to win a shogi match? who said a show with cute characters has no rights to get serious elements in it and vice versa?
why is it so hard to accept that made in abyss can have BOTH lolishotaservice and serious fantasy-science themes on the same show?
why the fuck do you insist on grouping everything into pretentions/fujoshi/moeshit/shonenshit when each show has a different combination of features to define its appeal?
this is a picture of kemono friends characters hanging out with 70s old super heroes, it became a raging japanese niconico/twitter meme over there in recent months, how come japan fans can celebrate their shows in unison but over here its considered taboo to watch devilman crybaby, citrus, HxH, violet evergarden, yurucamp, killing bytes and berserk on the same day?
I have just hanged out in Sup Forums for over a decade and I guess every now and then I still get mad you get newfag threads of people complaining over things in anime that are obviously NEVER going to go away (like idols, cute girls and loli fanservice in general)
You've just answered your own question, Japan created those cliches so no wonder they will be treated as separate entities. When you group things together they become distanced from other groups, not some melting pot.
Now I wonder how long will a thread with KF in OP pic and text survive until the vg brigade comes to cause its removal.

I became jaded after decades of trash shows. Last season changed my mind quite drastically though.
