I see a lot of isekai discussion on Sup Forums nowadays. I guess this is mostly due to the over-saturation of the genre, which may explain why most of said threads are negative.
Shield hero misses out on the prospect of dark/light fantasy juxtaposition and falls into many tropes later on that people thought it would avoid, and even cops out with a shitty deus-ex-machina ending, but at least manages to stay interesting enough and have quality in manga form.
Arifureta and Dungeon Seeker are constantly trying to out-edge eachother, but dungeon seeker does give a good underdog story with enough mystery to the story, and Arifureta definitely holds more water as an action manga, as it seems to almost parody the dark isekai genre.
Mushoku Tensei is nothing special, but does have an interesting character as well as avoids more prominent tropes (Guild, RPG, etc)
Isekai Smartphone is a summation of everything wrong in most isekais, almost a light isekai counterpart to Arifureta. Its only saving grace is you get what you're offered.
However, none of them compare to Gunota
Gunota has to be THE SHITTIEST thing I have ever had the displeasure of reading.
Aside from the atrocious writing, which made it impossible to even read the WN/LN, this damn thing has to commit every sin in the manga bible: >Bum Tickley asset reuse is rampant and obvious >Artist can't draw people outside the 3/4ths range without them looking mentally retarded >Yaoi Hands >Every woman is either repeatedly copy-pasted or has a full six meters of camel-toe >Expressions look like a horror-version of kawaii desu >Everyone breaks their necks looking up or down >The picture of MCuck on the factory floor is enough of an abomination to send this shit straight to hell.
And then the fucking writing. I swear to god, the LN/WN are so goddamned awful that I can't even bring myself to read ahead on them. At least with Arifureta the premise is actually fucking visited. In Gunota, you would think a story about a gunsmith getting stuck in a fantasy world would have shit with him actually building and using guns. Instead we have this dumbass constantly getting fucked over because he's too much of a cuck to actually shoot anyone or the thing he has to shoot is fucking immune to bullets.
Seriously, all this goddamned series is is just some crappy harem-shit that can't even tell a story. How any publisher even thought serializing it was a good idea is beyond me, because the only reason I even still look at the chapters is in the hopes that the author comes to his fucking senses at some point and writes an actual story instead of more moe-shit that goes absolutely nowhere.

Yeah, Gunota manga up to date is the shittiest isekai manga I've read. Story, art, everything is so shit it stopped being even ironically entertaining. Maybe a good artist with a good story sense could save it, but Yameta killed any even tiniest prospects of it. Just continue drawing your shitty porn you hack.

Dragon's Egg has the strength of not actually being an outlier in stats/build compared to Kumo or Re:monster. It works more within the bounds of the system in place, which is nice.
But I suppose character-wise it's a bit weaker. It doesn't have anything like early shield hero's stubbornness to still help others or kumo's memes.
Too bad FUNA can't write human relations for shit. None of his/her works has interesting characters besides the MC, mostly because the MCs steer clear from anyone remotely interested in them. Indeed, even Mile's friends have but one distinguishing feature: they are not interested in who the MC is nor what are her motives. Jewloli is rather similar too. Potionloli is slightly different in the sense that MC knows the god, who even looks out for the MC, but it would be a stretch to call them friends, as the author suggests.

I was really let down when the story suddenly dumped an entire established cast to replace them with suspiciously similar replacements but in an adventurer's guild setting instead of a middle class school setting. Not to mention my suspension of disbelief fell out the window when the characters turned into a chuuni sentai team with their own figmas.
