Why would you even in the first place? The drop rates are so bad wven during rate ups, even absurd amounts of money doesnt give you very good chances at things you want. Theres a good deal every once in a while when they give you the guaranteed 5 star servant for 30 buckaroos, which is still absurd but its something, but otherwise its totally futile to spend money on the game as far as I can tell.

I wanted to get into fate for a while, and while I finally have, one reason i wasnt eager to is I really disliked the genderbend waifu shit. I used to dislike Saber a lot for that. But in the VN they play it almost shockingly straight. Theres fanservice shit but I didnt feel like it was just to make a cute gril to jack off to, which I suppose is ironic now considering the fandom. Being secretly female really played into the tragedy it was going for.

I tried grtting into the game as a way to get into Fate, which was a poor decision in and of itself, but one thing pushing me away is that its not probable to try and get any rare guy you actually want at all. Its kind discouraging. Then theres leveling them which just was a crushing realization.

5* Servants aren't really necessary for the main story, though they speed the process along. If you're not in it to waifufag, you can take your gacha rolls whenever you get to 30 quartz and wing it with the shitshow you receive. Leveling isn't too difficult either since you can always use a stranger's Lvl 100 and breeze through the higher difficulty training grounds.

The problem you'll run into is that it's just boring as hell.

It was around March 2016. Looking at the event list from then, there's no significant events/servants unless it's a servant that wasn't part of an event added.

We're getting ALL Fate series adapted eventually at this rate.

With 1% rates FGO is one if the most jew mobage around. Playing it f2p is pointless. I really pity idiots who waste their savings on a fucking phone game that will probably disappear in 3 more years.

To my understanding, the game is designed so that you can mostly use whatever you want. That would be on the basis that you can use your favroites. But if its so highly improbable to get your favorites, much less level their NP... even worse, some guys are designed around their NP. I rolled for redman because I like him but hes just not very useful unless you can level his NP.

The first was Void Shiki, with the KnK event running from late Feb into early March.

The second was Hopeman, which was in an event around mid-march.

Since you mentioned "her" earlier, assuming you didn't assume that your friend was rolling for a female servant, your friend was almost certainly rolling in the KnK event.

I agree that the rates are absolute trash but despite that, I've had surprisingly luck rolling 5* without spending any money on both NA and JP. Altera, Waver, Gilgamesh on NA before I quit, Waver, Void Shiki, Cu (Alter) on JP. That's not even to mention the loads of 4* you get for free via events like Ryougi (Assassin), giveaways like they had on NA for a free 4* like Heracles or Redman, etc.

The game is definitely skewed to jew but if you REALLY don't want to just read the translated dialogue for whatever reason, it's still manageable.

Orion is an Arts attacker first and a male castrating machine second, kind of like Scathach's anti divine niche. Guaranteed NP drain, decent crit damage boost, high NP damage (neck and neck with Squirtoria post interlude).

Euryale is slightly better at anti-male and rubbish at everything else, that's the thing with low rarity. They're designed around being good at 1 thing and only that (usually NP damage due to ease of aquiring them).

I'm still mad that FGO is considered canon. Nasu is a hack.

FGO has jew rates, but at the same time Nasu wants people to read the story as well so DW can't go full jew with their power creep. The story can be easily cleared with low rarity, low rarity aren't complete rubbish unlike other gacha games, and they hand out welfare maxed-out 4* nearly every events. If you're a storyfag that's not interested in gameplay, friend support can carry you through everything up until Camelot/Babylonia (the good Nasu written stuffs)

I mean, the questi9n isnt about whether or not you can play the game. You can, snd I think they did a fsir balancing act for that. It just seems like the whole appeal is collecting and using your favorite characters since its purely PVE and you can be carried by supports, but its ridiculously hard to get them if theyre rare, let alone getting their NP levelled. I think itd be okay if there was a more reasonable crafting system in the game but the one it has is quite bad.

I will say as much as I find the ratea discouraging, I have also gotten lucky when I played in that Ive pulled like 3 siegfrieds. And while apparently I hear hes quite bad I like him a lot so that made me happy.
