This show was unironically amazing and you Sup Forumsll know it.

The people who hated it are just the unenlightened, or lower class plebs that are taking it as a serious show, rather than an ironic take on the upper class lifestyle in a modern society that mirrors the crazy internet culture of today.
It's especially great if you like fashion and have a mental illness or something.

Papa bless

He literally did nothing wrong and was right.

Vapes menacingly

Has it finally become acceptable to enjoy Neo Yokio unironically?

yes

Yes but maybe I'm just a normie. I have watched anime for years though.

This show was unionically funny and a very fun watch. Jaden Smith, while not a great actor, was the right person for the lead. It's not anime tho obviously so sageru...

how do you define anime then? It was co-produced by a japanese studio

Probably because it was not voiced by Japanese VA's nor was it really part of the Japanese anime season, was it?.

This thread's gonna deleted, isn't it?

More than likely it will only 404 because there's only 11 posters.

>not voiced by Japanese VA's
That's fair but let's be honest - Jaden Smith was a very important part of the show and no Japanese VA would've been able to replace him
>nor was it really part of the Japanese anime season
Netflix blurs that line, and they will continue to blur it further

I genuinely had (and still have) no idea who Jaden smith was before watching Neo Yokio

well, his twitter account is the main thing people know him for

Pretty simple, produced by Japanese people in Japan for a Japanese audience.

If you want to use the word 'anime' to describe a narrow visual style of animation we can go back to using the word 'Japanination' but tbqh there are way more syllables and we all know the last Airbender is animated my koreans.

People complain about the voice actors but it was actually pretty good

Yeah Jaden Smith totally fits the theme. He's not that bad at voice acting either. It's an example of english dubbing done fairly well. Dubbing in every Japanese anime is bad, no exceptions.

This show is the greatest pleb filter in modern anime. You can instantly tell the ironic weebs and reddit-tier tryhards when they dismiss this show rabidly because "it has jaden smith and there's toblerone so it's bad and NOT anime!!!1!"

Nigger, I've been watching anime for years. Everything from Gundam to GTO. 4000 episodes watched and back in my day I kept up with all the shitty airing anime like k-on.
I like Neo Yokio and I'm certainly no fake weeb and I say it is anime. Fight me.

this show is just a modern day Ghost stories, and i love it

This show was fucking great. I still haven't decided whether its self aware or not but it was fun as shit all the same.

Define "Japanese" please.
Also, what does the geographic position at the time of making matter?
