So is this show supposed to be mecha or what? So far all the fight scenes were kinda underwhelming and felt like a filler.
I know the last few episodes were about world building and characters, and those are important things, but why not do all that stuff during the actual fights like all the good mecha shows do?
So is this show supposed to be mecha or what...
>but why not do all that stuff during the actual fights like all the good mecha shows do?
Because it isn't a good mecha show.
Forgettable trash.
VEG is better
its not a mecha show, like how evangelion wasnt a a mecha show
It's romance/sol first and mecha second.
>Watching Franxx just for the mecha fights
Do people do this?
Just read the top selling manga instead not the flopping anime.
The manga is worse than the anime. Can only imagine that it is selling out of Yabuki's name alone
Still the best mecha we've had since Gurren Lagann.
>The manga is worse than the anime.
Nice meme.
yes
I haven't dropped it yet but boy was I disappointed
>tfw filler episode followed by beach episode
>genuinely not enjoying this series pretty much at all but feel too invested to drop it
The beach episode was after episode 6.
I can tell you are either a troll or a sheep that takes ANN seriously, OP is correct in that regard.
What do you think one of the big appeals of mecha is?
Shin Mazinger Z came out two years after TTGL though.
i havent watched this shit since episode 7, did i miss anything good?
>What do you think one of the big appeals of mecha is?
Oh I don't know, giant robots fucking shit up?
Also this is both shit as a drama and action show, it's irredemable at this point
ID-0 was just last year.
How to spot somebody who does not watch mecha.
What do you think one of the big appeals of mecha is?
Character- and war drama.
>24 episodes to trickle-truth their shitty dystopian society
>main characters are a bunch of undeveloped kids so there are no interesting backstory flashbacks to lean on
>not even MUH PARENTS like Eureka7
It's way more self-discovery / coming-of-age than people expected. Sorry, actionfags.
Still more interesting than anything else this season, imo.
