Kubo had a lot of issues with pacing. He basically pulled the same abrupt course correction when the captains showed up in Hueco Mundo to finish off the lower ranked Espada and hit the eject button for Ichigo. Same with Yammy being 0 where Kubo just realized he forgot to ever kill him, and couldn't waste time on a low power fight, so he just gave him an arbitrary power up but clearly hadn't planned it out at all because he didn't have an actual fight in mind so just cut away from it not once but twice until finally he just wrote the whole thing off, off panel.

Here have some Tia Valentine's day cheesecake from the mobilegame in honor of her gross under-utilization

>Same with Yammy being 0 where Kubo just realized he forgot to ever kill him
Wait. Is this the real reason someone with a boring jobber tier design ended up being the highest ranking espada? That's absolutely hilarious.

>Is this the real reason someone with a boring jobber tier design ended up being the highest ranking espada?
It's pure speculation, and not a likely one considering he was one of the first Espada introduced.
My theory is that Kubo saw the Tobi/Madara twist that worked so well in Naruto and decided to ape it (he aped a lot of shit from Naruto, for example the chain strategy against Aizen) thinking it would work just as well.
Due to his pacing problems though, he couldn't show us that fight since the everyone vs Aizen thing was going on and it was already taking too long, so he decided to off-panel the whole thing.

One thing is certain, it wasn't planned. There's absolutely nothing that suggests Yammy was ever gonna be at the top, meanwhile there wre a few statements that proved the contrary.

But Kubo gonna Kubo.

>Espadas aren't numbered 1 to 10 but actually 0 to 9
What was Kubo smoking there

Dude let's be real here, everyone knew a 0 Espada was out there somewhere, that part made sense.
What didn't made sense was for it to be fucking Yammy.

>everyone knew a 0 Espada was out there somewhere
At first I thought it was going to be the autistic kid or a completly new character Kubo would pull out of his ass.

It's speculation, but not unfounded. Consider that Yammy was lowest ranked, and generic Big Guy to make the little guy (Ulquiorra) "surprisingly" menacing. He got out classed in battle and belittled by rank by like half a dozen people in his very slim early appearances. Then he just vanished for dozens of chapters. Also we saw Kubo struggle with coming up with Espada releases and powers when Grimmjow's sword got teased and cut short twice, Ulquiorra's had to have a 2nd form shoehorned in when people didn't like the first one, and waffling around with themes like Nnoitra's arabesque cobra motif being shifted toward a preying mantis; clearly he designed the characters first and powers second, so Yammy's sword being released only latest in the game suggests pretty heavily that he probably made it up at around the time he wrote the twist. (as opposed to having it in any way planned and waiting) And then again if he'd at least had a real function of the power in mind, or some sense of the fight in mind he could've just done it quickly and been done with it, but instead he just kept dodging writing any real progress in it until again it was just a left over loose end that he had left over by the time the actual plot had moved on. Generally Kubo's strategy seems to be to just juggle plots any time he gets stuck on one, but sometimes he seems to get stuck on the sub plot he's biding time with too and ends up with way too balls in the air; just look at how long he kept dodging resolving the Szayel and Nnoitra fights.

>The arrancar are numbered 11 to 99 by age
>everyone knew there being a 10 at all would just be a plot hole
retarded

Dis fucking dude
Did he also made Ichigo's parents fuck so he would be born?

>Szayel and Nnoitra fights
Szayel fight was such a slog to read weekly. It just wouldn't end, and then it was fucking Mayuri who saved the day.

That's what literally everyone in the fandom thought, me included. Hell, making Wonderweiss the 0 was probably Kubo's initial plan.
But with Wonderweiss he left too many clues of him being actually special and powerful, so the "Tobi twist" wouldn't have worked with him.

I personally would've preferred for Barragan to be number 0, I don't care how cliche that'd have been.

Saying Kubo had issues with pacing is underselling it user

why does Aizen look so moe like that?

Stark deserved better

>Aizen never got to rape Ichigo
Those 16 years, all for nothing.

To be fair that wasn't shown until the TYBW arc.
Even then you had Yhwach pulling the same horseshit basically saying Aizen was a pawn of his the entire time.

for my sanity Im gonna assume Yhwach was just bullshiting Ichigo for get under his skin

>Reading Bleach post Soul Society arc
You don't have anyone to blame but yourself

Yhwach controls fate, so no he's not lying.

Was Bleach a good manga?

It had cute girls

Depends

>we could have got Shunsui and Starrk chilling in the 8th division together
>we could have had Shunsui and Starrk teaming up against Lille Barro
>instead we get the shitfuck of a fight that happened instead

What does she smells like?

sea water

Fish

It was alright. Nice art but no backgrounds, cool character designs but too many underused characters, a lot of interesting powers but most fights rely on perfect counters out of nowhere, some well thought out plot points in a sea of asspulls and a rushed ending since Kubo had to go to surgery.

>Aizen actually saved her

>we could have had Stark and Shunsui double teaming Nanao

so what exactly was different about hashwalth compared to: regular quincies and ywach? the translations are kinda weird.
says he can give powers like ywach can, but not take them back after? is that what these pages mean?
is it something that he does unconsciously? child bazz-b seemed to get stronger without hashwalth doing anything to him.
also, what does it mean for hashwalth that he cannot manipulate reishi? i thought at first it meant he couldnt form quincy bows and shit, but he does form the shape of a bow using his sword during his fight with ishida,
1/2

2/2
also if you guys have any new information about haschwalth from the novels(i have not read them), id appreciate it if you would share. im interested in this character

Attached: 11.jpg (784x1300, 176K)

Novels are worthless

Haschwalth saw the future and determined it was far too cruel, so he ordered his aide to retrieve the fallen traitor quincies and take them somewhere safe.

wouldnt that mean he saw ywach's death? wouldnt ywach have seen this as well?

He saw it, but Haschwalth tricked him. He sent Yhwach a vision of his death disguised as a dream, so that Yhwach would always think that the vision of his death was just him remembering the dream and lowering his guard.

thats weird, that doesnt really line up with haschwalth 's dying monologue. he was going on about how he finally saw ishida's point of view. he then offered to heal ishida and sent ishida on his way. then, to himself, haschwalth said something along the lines of "even if it doesnt change the outcome in the slightiest", referring to healing ishida and the upcoming fight with ywach.
i thought the "dream" ywach saw was simply a vision of the future that he himself mistook for a dream from haschwalth.

Attached: 111.jpg (800x1156, 133K)

Haschwalth did the same thing Ichigo did in the first arc. He subconsciously empowered his friends. Haschwalth making Bazz-B stronger is the same as Ichigo giving Tatsuki and Orihime the ability to see spirits and in Orihime's case the fairies. If Haschwalth had learned how, he probably could make a Schrift. Yhwach call that too, but he can also steal power, like how Ginjou took Ichigo's power and gave it to the other Fullbringer.

Haschwalth wasn't born with the ability to manipulate reishi. He simply learned how to do it. Like how Ichigo at the beginning couldn't either.

Haschwalth saw Ichigo killing Yhwach. He had no idea if Uryuu would contribute to that. He thought that Yhwach would die anyway. From Haschwalth's perspective Uryuu going to Ichigo wouldn't change anything about Yhwach's death.

Haschwalth sent Yhwach a vision of the future but disguised it as a dream, so that Yhwach would not recognize it.

interesting. wonder where auswahlen fits into all of this? is it a ywach only thing, just because reasons or could a "special" quincy like haschwalth or ishida learn how to do it as well?
i assumed it was just ywach at first, but pic related kinda implies that it can be done by others.
>Haschwalth sent Yhwach a vision of the future but disguised it as a dream, so that Yhwach would not recognize it.
is this your opinion or is it in one of the novels, or confirmed else where?

Attached: 12.jpg (800x1147, 174K)

fuck the both of you for stealing the most obvious answers

The Soul King can probably too. The only possibility is Ginjou.

In the novels Haschwalth told his aide that he knew about the Auswahlen. He could avoid his death, but chose not to, because he saw it as punishment for going against Yhwach. That pretty much means he betrayed him some point.

>In the novels Haschwalth told his aide that he knew about the Auswahlen. He could avoid his death, but chose not to, because he saw it as punishment for going against Yhwach. That pretty much means he betrayed him some point.
ah thats interesting. i really wish the manga did more with the world balancing schrift, along with ishida's schrift. haschwalth fighting shunsui when they met wouldve been a neat way to display it, and that would free up ishida for something else like ywach. dunno who would take care of lille barro then though.

it shouldve been orihime/ichigo/ishida vs ywach; orihime and ishida using their abilities to undo whatever shit ywach does while ichigo goes to town on him.

Attached: 543nextemp.jpg (800x1145, 106K)

Ishida is not a special quincy, he just has a special ability that could turn the tables on almost anyone. Auswahlen is an ability of every power sharing Quincy. If Power sharing is a quincy derived ability in Ginjou, then yes, he could too. But most likely not, Ginjou's power sharing is hollow natured. Ichigo probably could however.

>Ishida is not a special quincy
hes special in that auswahlen seems to have no effect on him for reasons, is what i meant.

It is me or the manga had better drawings on the earlier volumes

it did, easily. it still had its moments of cool pages now and then, but the very first arc had the best art imo

But Yhwach never used auswahlen on ishida, the only time he came close to using was near the final fight, but Ishida was bleeding on the ground almost near death, while Hashwalth had just recovered from all his wounds, it was no brainer to steal only from Hashwalth while ignoring Ishida who was dying anyway.

Great art. Awesome character design, great costuming, waifus to cover about every fetish.

Absolutely trash story. It is a horrible manga.

it was used before that as well, when ishida was a child. remember when ichigo's dad told the story about his mother? ishida's mother also died from that auswahlen 3 months later, yet ishida was unaffected. i believe ywach even says this to ishida when he is granting him a schrift.

Again, a baby would no power worth stealing, and unlike ichigo, ishida was not born with extra free power in the form of an hollow.

nope, ywach definitely used it on him

Attached: 5.jpg (800x1250, 136K)

Chad deserved to be part of it too after how much he got shit on. At least Orihime repaired Ichigo's Bankai, Chad squared up with some random statue monsters and then vanished for the rest of the series.

that was stupid too, but chad didnt seem to get any kinda powerup during the final arc. so theres no way he could even help at all during the fight. ichigo's reiatsu alone would probably cripple him

I mean, everybody else got some asspull powerup and we never saw exactly how much stronger training in those mystic ruins made him, it was implied that Urahara was using training methods he copied from the Royal Guard(like the special food), which is how Rukia and Renji both went from fodder to beating ritter. Both times he got a new arm his power level basically doubled or more, so I could see him being able to at least help if he got a full body armor form finally.

maybe yeah, guess kubo just ran out of time. was no way to fit all this stuff at the end of the manga; there already is so much left undone/unsaid

looking over some of the flashback pages, i think i noticed a mistake with ywach. when he meets haschwalth, it appears that his eyes are "open"(the A power he gains during his fight with the monk). a few panels show him with what looks like multiple pupils or whatever. he should definitely not have that power then.

you can see it a bit in the top left panel, and can definitely see it at the bottom

easily visible in top panel and a bit less so in the bottom panel

Did Ichigo create the faeries? Or did he just awaken Orihime to the point where she could see the faeries?

He could have if he wasn't desperate for surgery.

It just wasn't active.

what do you mean?
