Outside the novels, now SAO is at its lowest popularity, yesterday was to be released Re:HF on Steam and it was delayed, they didn't even give an explanation why and no next date for release was announced, they don't care anymore.
I don't expect the new anime adaption to be anything comparable to the first adaption, or just anything that can live up to the novel.

I know but it still shows how SAO's marketing is failing. Think of the movie, it was pretty much a side story just to sell SAO to the normalfags, people who don't love SAO for its story nor for the concepts it presents, they will never get SAO because they don't share dreams similar to the author, like the real fans do (or at least most of the fans do), they don't live a lifestyle that allows them to grasp SAO, these people will never support the series in any meaningful way.
The marketing strategy is completely falling apart, they should have focused on the hardcore fan base that reads the novel and would gladly buy the BDs the day they come out, otherwise it's just like trying to sell umbrellas to dolphins.

Who knows? It might not be so bad. I'm told Mahouka's anime wasn't so bad adaptation-wise, and he's also worked on Horizon.
It's all a bunch of "maybe"s and "might"s at this point tho.

Nigger they literally visit the Main Visualizer to cut Taku off from the ISS in vol 8 of AW and its described in pretty much the same terms as it was in Higa's lectures to Rinko and Asuna in Alicization. That was in Vol 8, AW is on Vol 22 now.
We have had everything from Fluctuating Lights, to Being/Enemy type mobs basically being outed as artificial FluctLights, to to Higa telling Asuna "The only way to stop prolonged STL usage from aging the soul to death is to save all those accelerated memories onto a wearable quantum computer at all times" and then Fuuko tells Haruyuki: "The reason Rin can't remember being Ash Roller is because she swaps Neurolinkers after Bursting and all the memories of being Ash are stored on that wearable quantum computer"
So no its not "confirmed" as in no one has said "this is the same tech" for the benefit of the audience. But if you don't see that it's the same tech from all the references and allusions you have to be some special kinda autist.

Same here. I love just about every scene in the Alicization arc; just about anything that gets adapted well will be a real treat. It's a very well-written story, I really hope the new director does it justice. Apparently the old director stepped down himself because he wasn't confident in his ability to adapt the early bits of the arc.

Honestly, the only thing I dislike about Alicization's visual is Kirito and Eugeo's eyes. They look a bit off, but the shading and colors for their hair and clothes all look nice. Have some faith.
