Not really, Togashi wrote himself exactly where he wants to be, in the middle of a complex system of his own design.

They also want Hisoka so they can get the troupe in their favor. In addition, the zodiacs are in various parts of the boat trying to maintain order (and largely failing) The next banquet will likely be a bloodbath that will simplify things substantially
