So how do you feel about Elder Scrolls 6: Lizard Land?

So how do you feel about Elder Scrolls 6: Lizard Land?

Forget Tamrel. Why the fuck don't they make a game about Akavier already?

Literal cat/dragon people and fucking snow demons.

How the fuck does this get ignored?

mite b cool

Was there seriously supposed to be a fox race at one point? That's just weird.

That fucking icon literally looks like it came out of a furry convention

>Argonia
>Lizard Land
Bait

should be hammerfell instead. opposite of skyrim and whatnot.

do people even care about TES lore at this point?

i bet you that the majority of the fanbase only wants a "skyrim 2" and doesnt care about the story

elder scrolls online ruined the lore. inb4 'its not canon.' it is indeed canon.

Because the only person in Bethesda to ever care about the lore was Kirkbride.

Why did the person who made that mockup put a wolf on it?

Why do people want Argonia so bad? Isn't half of that shit near-uninhabitable by anyone except Argonians (literally the entire center chunk IIRC)? Summerset Isles or bust. It's a warm location, and it was set up so well in Skyrim. So many cities and structures already in place, and would be a decent area to continue the story.

It's going to be Hammerfell you retards. Holy shit how can anyone think it's anything else.

They reference Hammerfell a bunch in Skryim, and they even have an introduction of that region the same fucking way they introduced the Commonwealth in Fallout 3 (i.e a person from a foreign land directly tied into that land's said politics is pursued by guards from that land, and you have the choice to bring them in or set them free). Then there's the fact that Hammerfell is "exotic" (arabian nights etc.) but not weird and limited enough that we'd end up with weirdo lizard land, weirdo furry land or boring forest elves land. It's a perfect next setting.

Then there's the big obvious set up of the Thalmor story that was a major fucking sub plot in Skyrim. Guess what region is entangled and at war with the Thalmor?

That'd b kewl tbqh

>elder scrolls online
how bad is it doing? is there even a player base?

I'd prefer a game in Elsweyr with all the different Khajiiti. Mabye the main character could be related to the Mane or something.

I wanna be a fox furry.

How'd it ruin the lore?

Argonians are cute and I wanna see more of 'em and learn more about them. The best way to do that would be in their homeland.

Last I heard about it, it was apparently doing pretty well.

People who play it take it seriously. There are alot more players than you think.

I could dig it.

Hammerfell done well would a thousand times more interesting than Skyrim or Oblivion's settings.

Bethesda won't get it right though.

Incredibly stupid idea because Black Marsh is weird and would require a lot of work on Beth's part, both in terms of not trending on lore and on bringing to fruition the things we know about Black Marsh.

As with Elswyr, you run into the problem of having to have different types of lizard people, for example. There's a lot of mystery and secretiveness regarding the Hist. Additionally you have the moving forest, which would present a challenge in developing.

It would be the first time since Morrowind, so 2 games ago, that we're somewhere weird that is inhabited almost entirely by a non-human race.

Frankly, Bethesda does not take any chances anymore. That's why FO4 was what it was. Shit can't be weird so if they were to set a game in Elswyr, Valenwood (at least they dont have to worry about Falinesti anymore), or Black Marsh, they're going to dumb it down, fuck up the lore, and normalize it.

They'll probably set it in High Rock or Hammerfell, as would be wise given the way Beth handles shit.

>Mabye the main character could be related to the Mane or something.
I don't want to be required to play a Khajiit.

Maybe Bethesda should just fucking stop making video games and have someone else take the TES ip

>Additionally you have the moving forest
That was Valenwood.

Wanna fuck lizard babes dude.

>Argonia
That requires the entire writing staff to be high on paint and bath salts to make an established background of the Hist and Argonians in general that isn't little tidbits from Morrowind, Skyrim, Oblivion and novels.

had to happen at some point. at least its going to be the gen 1 vr tes. hopefully when vr isnt so shitty they will make a good tes game

No, in Valenwood it was just the one tree, Falinesti but Green-Sap stopped moving anyway.

In Argonia it's Murkwood that's a big moving forest.

Then maybe it could be something like Oblivion where you need to find the next Mane because some fucked up shit happened, it could be set early than Skyrim when the moons disappeared.

won't happen
there will never be an elder scrolls game outside a human dominated land again

those are minor stories for dlc worlds now

Oh, whoops. Guess I was wrong.

>place is a poisous wasteland where only Argonias can survive
It'll either be lore breaking bullshit or have zero race variety.

Orsinium please.

>set early than Skyrim when the moons disappeared
Bethesda don't do prequels. They have an explicit rule against it.

>That requires the entire writing staff to be high on paint and bath salts to make an established background of the Hist and Argonians

A whole staff or one Kirkbride

Black Marsh is supposed to be really hard for anyone but Argonians to live, though.

Though, what with how Fallout 4 turned out, I wouldn't be surprised if you could only be an Argonian because voice acted protagonist lol

>Skyrim is a snowscape where no cold blooded creatures could possibly live
>You can play as an Argonian

I'm not sweating lore fluff impacting actual gameplay

>poisous
poisonous*

>Argonias
Argonians*

Keyboard's starting to shit the bed.

I heard Kirkbride doesn't really like Argonians, so I'd probably rather somebody else do it. Too bad the Argonian lover of the team left.

It would be just as bad as it being in Furry Land.

Not all of Skyrim is covered in snow user.

If there's one thing that'd stop me from buying a new TES, it's if it was set in one of the furry homelands.

>Redguard
>Battlespire
>ESO

It'd be better. Lizards are cooler than cats.

They'd have to retcon it being full of poisonous everything. Even the daerdra during the Oblivion crisis couldn't even make a foothold there.

Why?

ESO is actually stated as non canon by TODD himself

Wrong.

The next game needs to take place in Thalmor Land, so I can decapitate every single one of them.

I wouldn't play it, I don't give two shits about lizards. Same for Eslwyr, furries can fuck off its bad enough they're in the games now we got to go to their shitty locales? Yeah nah, fuck off.

>There are people who's concern about being in a non-human setting is not about Bethesda's ability or skill in doing it right
>They're concerned that it's a non-human setting at all

Stop making Beth right

Cats are really itchy, lizards are not.

There is still Redguard, which is heavy in lore and story, and happened before Arena, and Battlespire.

do you totally honestly think bethesda can pull off a fantastical setting?

shouldn't they stick to generic garbage, the thing they have proven is the only thing their "talent" can pull off?

Im not part of of this argument or the user you were talking about. Just wanted to point that out

Stop trying to cater to furries, if Khajiit looked similar to how they looked in Daggerfall I wouldn't be bothered by them.

But Redguard is a spin-off. I don't think Beth will do a main-line game prequel since they appear to be telling some sort of over-all story regarding the Thalmor and the Towers.

Whether or not it's exactly what the Nu-Hatta intercept says, who knows?

TES is about the conflict between Man and Mer, the beast races were never the highlight, nor will they ever be, and rightly so.

>Stop trying to cater to furries, if Khajiit looked similar to how they looked in Daggerfall I wouldn't be bothered by them.
Why would it be bad for them to look like bipedal felines?

Just a reminder that Khajiit have different appearances

not to production at bethesda

>NPC:"Ah you must be that convict Argonian who has a quest. Will you stop your quest to help me?"
>Options: A :) B :(
>Select B.
>Main character:"You're full of shit, Jacob. The truth is you hated that bitch: You followed her and dragged her into the car and took her out to the Moors. She woke up, and you smashed her face in with a socket wrench. And then you stomped her... you stomped her because she was a drunken whore and she treated you like shit. You stomped her for all the years you had to take it. You stomped her because you're such a weak fucking sister, Jacob, and you wanted to erase all memory of it. Go on, try to deny it."

Hi Kirkbride.

If its Argonia, then why is there a wolf head on the cover? Show some pride in your fakes.

The Thalmor claimed responsibility for restoring the moons when they disappeared, and the Khajiit were worshipping them afterwords. It could provide back story to how the Thalmor started to spread their influence throughout Tamriel.

Oh no, I think Beth is not only incapable of doing it right, but would never even think to in the first place because places like Elswyer/Argonia/Valenwood are too weird for their audience, which posters are proving right here.

Hence why I said the concern is not about Beth's ability or skill in doing it right. If they hired Kirkbride on full-time and a couple of the other old writers they could get the writing and lore done, but the programming challenges would still be far too much for how lazy they are.

In a perfect world where it could be done right, I would want to explore the non-human countries because it's just different. I'm bored with humans at this point.

Elf forest land could be really cool. All sorts of weird shit goes on there, like trees that slowly walk across the landscape and feral Bosmer that eat people out in the wilderness. But the sheer amount of foliage they'd need to render would probably bring most machines to their knees, so that's out.

FUCKING REPTILIANS SLOWLY TRYING TO REVEAL THEMSELVES THROUGH SKYRIM THOSE HISSING FUCKS

But user, it's only been ten years since they made shivering isles.

>argonia/black marsh
Literally never. Not gonna happen. Unless they completely disregard the lore and say fuck it. It's completely uninhabitable to non-argonians. In fact, the only non-argonians who ever lived there were killed by some fucked up biological warfare.

Ideally the next game would be Elswyr or Hammerfell. Then after that we'd get Valenwood or Summerset. Then we'd get either Elswyr or Hammerfell depending on which was done first and and likewise with Valenwood and Summerset next.

It'd probably go, Hammerfell, Summerset, Elswyr, and then Valenwood.

Honestly, it's kind of weird to me that some people in this thread are so adverse to going to non-human provinces.

If its Khajit we know furfags are going to flood our fanbase so don't do anything with Khajit homeland. i don't want FurFaggot porn in my glorious TES Fanbase.

Why would it be bad for them to look like humans with slight feline traits? Too boring for furries? Making shit different for the sake of it, with no rhyme or reason is terrible. It only flew in Morrowind because very few people played Arena or Daggerfall.

>A mod managed to implement multiple Khajiti typesyears ago
>yfw even if they did set a game in Elswyer there would be some throw away like about how the other types of Khajit aren't allowed to be seen by foreigners
>They're all the same old model

Too fantastical for the modern bethesda audience

People are fine with non-human providences, most just don't want Elswyr or Black Marsh because furfags. I would be completely fine with Summerset Isles or Valenwood, why are people so adverse to human providences?

Just take it up and do single player. The game is really a glorified single player game with a multi player component that's not needed, it is just there.

And I'd say making everything human when you can actually make non-human fantasy races is shit. Though I'd personally make Khajiit look more alien than they do now.

I think a non-human Provence would be cool. It would force you to really try and get into what is happening and be easy to adopt the outsider perspective they try and give you every game.
That is assuming they could do it right

I consider the elven provinces human, since they basically look like humans but with slightly different ears and faces.

And do you really care that much about furfags that the mere idea of them getting something they like is something to block? Assuming you're speaking for yourself as well, of course.

Spot on

I managed to have fun with Skyrim despite how dumbed down and primitive it was. It's arguably a comfy game.

What I wouldn't be able to tolerate is furshit. You can't really relate to a world where 80% of the NPCs are slave material and nothing more.

>You can't really relate to a world where 80% of the NPCs are slave material and nothing more.
Don't speak for everyone.

>Why are people so adverse to human providences?

Probably because it makes them feel cool to say "I like lizard people and cat people because they're just inherently so much more interesting than humans and elves! I have superior taste!"

>why are people so adverse to human providences?
We've already been to three in the main games, so many people are probably wanting to go to other types of homelands now.

Because that's generally what everyone expects will come next anyway because it's the easiest thing to make and market/pass focus testing.

No, it's because being a human is boring. Name 5 single player rpg games where the main story DOESNT take place in a human dominated country.

>Instead of worrying about Bethesda's ability to design a great world out of Argonia/Black Marsh and Elsweyr they're worried about furries.

Why? This will literally have no bearing on the single player experience if it were to ever be done.

See

They are worried about having to see the furry art of their gamefu on Sup Forums

The trees were confirmed to have stopped moving in some recent lore, and the Green Pact doesn't include cannibalism anymore, sorry ;^)

They're years too late to worry about that, then.

>Worried about waifu posting.
>Something that has been here for the longest.

Why?

I'm hoping for Black Marsh or Elsweyr. I don't want another human province again. 2 games ina row is enough.

Nobody worries about Bethesda's ability because they don't have any

>That image
Good fucking God, these people need to die.

If you wanna see fantasy done bad, look at FF15

Be playing skyrim as khajit on stormcloaks skyrim for nords all that shit. How come no one comments on race except combat wouldnt mind some dialogue about how I'm a race traitor but it's a minor gripe admittantly.

Personally, with only 1 game in the franchise (Arena doesn't really count) that doesn't take place in a non-human country, I just want some variety.

There only country left that we haven't been to is Hammerfell (unless Daggerfall is old enough that we can go back to High Rock). Hammerfell is interesting and I like Redguards so I'm down for it.

Valenwood is actually my top pick because I'm a Bosmer-fag and think they're interesting as hell. Valenwood would make a lot of sense given the Thalmor plot and since Falinesti is rooted, no more worries about Beth having to program the capital city to walk around. There still a lot of lore things like the Green Pact and the Wild Hunt that I think Beth would ruin though.

Summerset though is a no-go. The Altmer are incredibly secretive about it and with the Thalmor in power no one is setting foot there. In TESO, even if you're an Altmer the closest you can get is on some little island off the main one. The only way we'd get Summerset is with a voiced protag with you as an Altmer.

What will they do about the Hist?
