Seriously though I fucking love that track and the soundtrack overall. Best OST I've heard in years.
this is the one i wanted to see posted, good job user
You guys are crazy. These don't hold a candle to Gherman's theme.
I was going to post this one! Beat me to it, friend.
youtube.com
Fine, this one is second best
youtube.com
This one always stuck out to me.
>this one is second best
That is true.
That's not even the best track in its own game
That must be weird as fuck to be in a room with that being played live.
lol! That's fucking awesone.

Besides Ludwig's theme, I also really like Blood-Starved Beast's theme. Really stuck to me with how frantic it gets towards the end.
I loved that BBs OST was more about instruments and less about chorus that overshadows everything else, especially DS2 had some bad contenders.
DS3 toned it down a bit though

I can't.
If you say you went into that boss fight and did not get hyped, I will call you a fucking liar.
I did back then, but after listening to the themes again this one is one of the worst in the series
It's not about the fight, it's about the theme
when does that BB song play?
This should have been the OP.
Father Gascoigne fight
Don't remember it at all. Probably all the growls and shit
youtube.com
How has nobody said this yet? It's the best song and it's not even in the actual game
I don't blame you for not remembering it, you probably was busy getting your shit kicked in like we all did the first time.
literally impossible
Couldn't get past this part
You got there? Way better than me, bro.
I turned down all the other audio a bit on my second playthrough and it was great. Makes the boss fights even more memorable
This wasn't even meant to be a Souls thread, but it's turning out great.
Here's my favourites: pic
That's beautiful.
It's okay. Dark Souls 2 had an amazing menu theme. Same for Majula.
Shame the game is a wadded up cumrag
summon me you fuckin plebs. I'll handle this
Nah man, i won't risk getting invaded by some twinks
>Bloodborne is legitimately the best out of all the souls games
>get shitposted with SONYGGER constantly for just trying to praise it
The menu theme was great. It had that weird negative sounding, dark chant then became slightly peaceful.
By far my favourite "traditional" track in the game.
Everyone else is wrong: youtube.com
Bloodborne was my least favourite "game" but it had my favourite story. It so weird, super natural and loopy, which is right up my alley. Dark Souls 1 & 3 are my favourite games though.
How can you like 3 and not BB? 3 is literally BB's gameplay strapped to Dark Souls.
my favorite from bloodporne
Why would we get invaded by small, gay asian men?
When I played though Dark Souls 3, none of the soundtracks stood out to me oddly enough. I played through the entire game with a friend and the boss music was always loud enough that I couldn't hear my friend on chat. It's always a world of difference to just listen to the song itself.
best track in ds3 for sure
Nice bait senpai
One of my favourite aspects of Dark Souls 1 was all of the really nice looking armour sets. I almost felt disappointed that there was virtually no armour, just clothing. That game thought me to play without a shield though. After playing Bloodborne, I never played a souls game with a shield again.
>cleric beast
>blood moon
Worst?!
Sir alonne theme makes me wet my pants
You know you can ignore the Cleric Beast fight entirely, right? You could play it during the Blood Moon phase.
>not loving the des trumpets
you're a fag.
I haven't even played this game, and nothing in any of the games is beating this theme. It's so fucking good, what's the implication of the music? It sounds dire and final
>orange
>paleblood
It's the evening sun, partially obscured by clouds.
It's the theme to the last or second last boss of the game. Depending on the choices you made throughout the game. It's quite a sad story, like most of the Souls games. It's worth looking into.
>Dark Souls
Wrong.
Correct is: youtube.com
>Dark Souls III
Extremely wrong.
Correct is: youtube.com
To explain would be to spoil it a really crucial part of the game.
It's the last or 2nd to last (depending on your track through thr game) boss's theme. It rivals MGS boss fights in terms of beauty and impact. I felt like crying it was so cool.
youtube.com
This track will forever be my favourite.
All wrong
youtube.com
Without a doubt the best track in the entire series, the kick in during phase 2 is absolutely unrivalled.
Not even Ludwig's theme gave me the same feels
Probably the best atmosphere as well to be honest.
I prefer Laurence theme.
Actually I prefer Laurence in general.
>phase 2 starts
>that scream
Biggest "OH SHIT" moment in Bloodborne, by far.
Rehash
This was my favorite fight in the game just because of the entire atmosphere and story.
>Probably the best atmosphere as well to be honest.
Oceiros is rivals it.
Unfortunately he plays a very small and optional role.
Phase 1 is amazing, phase 2 sucks. It doesn't even loop properly.
yup, clric beast is actually an optional fight
Fuuuuuuck. I haven't heard that Demon's Souls one is years.
*in.
Prepare to feel
youtube.com
this is better than OPs but you have to wait 4 minutes before it even gets good.
youtube.com
youtube.com
both of these are better
I actually like Ludwig's first phase more than the second one.
Do you think any of these people looked at the game afterwards and were shocked at what their music is accompanying?
I think they had at least a general idea of what they were composing for.
there can be no other
It's in FRONT of the clouds and the clouds themselves are purplish like during the blood moon, and in game the moon is in front of the clouds anyway
I now realise that the best boss fights in every Souls game are the ones where you're fighting 1v1 with another human.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but those clouds are in front of it.
Get your eyes checked.
>Ludwig
>Manus
>Princes
>Nameless
>1v1 with another human
youtube.com
I don't think there's another theme in the game that so appropriately conveys "you're gonna get your shit kicked in"
HUAAAAAAAAARGHHH
AUUUUUUUUGGHHHHH
If we were to rate the main menu songs;
DS2 > DS1 > BB > DS3 > DeS
>spending more than 1 second in the main menu
This.
Hmmm, the patters on that moon match awfully well with those clouds.
Well i take my time to look at all the options menus and the first impression i get is usually the main menu song
wow such elitist much skill
Why not listen to Linkin Park while you speedrun the game with your Estoc character
This is a criminally underrated track.
It's fucking incredible
Considering there are large swathes of color going behind the moon there, and the fact that in game the setting sun doesn't leave the sky any color remotely similar to that, and the fact that you can save Cleric Beast to be among the final bosses in your playthrough.
Look at all those clouds. You see that darkest patch of color on the moon there? Along the lower right? Kinda looks like it matches up with a dark spot on the clouds there. Now trace it down to the lower left, where it doesn't follow.
It's the moon dude. The Moon is canonically in front of clouds in game, too.
