What is the most disappointing game you've ever bought?
What is the most disappointing game you've ever bought?
Even with the Community patch I will never get over the dissapointment that I had with Gothic 3.
I still remember how disappointed I was when i met Xardas and nothing important happend.
I prefer Da2 ofer Inquisition.
I partly blame myself for over-hyping it after the end of season one.
This will always be the answer.
EA: Not Even Once
It wasn't bad but I didn't feel shit compared to ME1 or 2.
Hell, I didn't even feel sad when Mordin and Thane died. Not even Robro sacrificing himself managed to get a reaction from me.
I bought DA2 with mostly no expectations (so can't be disappointed) just for the sake of continuing what I started with DA:O -- and while it was bad, it was actually better than I thought, I just thought of it like a weird action game while set on hardest. I feel no motivation to try DA:I though, nor ever play Bioware games again.
My biggest actual disappointment was Unlimited SaGa mostly because I love that series and expected no possible wrong, and back then I didn't really research games before buying much.
This easily
Fucking easily.
The hype train was easily the most fun part about this expansion.
>Everything will be different
>Get in
>Everything is the same but shittier
I've long since accepted that the Gamecube game was a fluke and that if there is ever a worthy successor SE will not be involved in it.
Deus Ex Invisible war. doesnt help that Dx is my #1 game ever.
I fell for the "it'll be like oldschool WC" meme.
This shit is honestly worse than Cata. I regret spending money on this fucking farmville simulator excuse for an expansion pack.
I had low expectations for DA2 as well, but ended up enjoying it for what it was.
It's not nearly as fleshed out as Origins, but other than the shameless dungeon recycling I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets.
Yeah that was a very disappointing game.
It was overshadowed by the first season I still liked it though.
Fallout 4 was the biggest viyda related let down of my life. I was so fucking hyped when rumors of a new fallout were announced.I knew it was going to be made by Bethesda but honestly I saw that as a good thing I mean at the time I thought they must of learned something from obsidian right? I was hoping for a skyrim like game with a big focus on rpg elements, with some respect for lore. I didn't need a great story or anything. Then I saw the trailer and the dialogue wheel. I was already let down hard but still optimistic because mods can fix it right?. It was just so awful in every way. I really gave the game a shot but nothing can fix it.
>This shit is honestly worse than Cata.
Oh easily, by a large margin the worst expansion, but unless you were stupid and fell for marketing And really, even if you were stupid and had hope for WoD Also how did you have hope for fucking WoD? That plot, jesus., there is no way the disappointment of a WoW expansion pack being bad following 2 shit xpacs could compare to Cataclysm being bad following Vanilla, TBC and Wrath. Especially given what Cata promised.
>Fallout 4 was the biggest viyda related let down of my life
You are 15-16
Atleast from what I have seen it looks like Blizzard has learned their failures with WoD. Legion looks very promising.
this motherfucker. not a bad game, but holy shit what a step down. i think it might the one game that turned me jaded.
The first Dragon Age. Boring as fuck.
No I'm not. I just have a nostalgic connection too the fallout series. I don't care about any other series really. Didn't even start playing videogames till I was like 15.
>following 2 shit xpacs
MoP was good though, it's just unfortunate to be stuck between the two worst xpacs.
Seconding, especially Dwarf City and every origin but City Elf.
What a fucking piece of shit.
My first Fallout game was Brotherhood of Steel and I'm disappointed from Fallout 4. Main reason is because they cut out the good & evil choices.
I love to play rpgs were I can play as an evil character but Fallout 4 doesn't let you play an evil character.
>buy game because I liked the creature creator demo
>don't know the hype
>end up with a game about spice trade
Why don't more games have spice trade?
FFXII? Dude get outta here, FFXII was brilliant.
>after the end of season one.
Everything after, and even during, Clem asking to look for her parents in ep4 was shit and shouldn't have happened.
Between the stealthy undead king of fucking garbage and the projecting pedophile villain shitting on all your choices, season 1 took a total nosedive. How anyone played it and then confidently went on to season 2 is absolutely beyond me.
>but still optimistic because mods can fix it right?
Lel. This is an okay stance to take if you're planning on buying the game years in the future.
Master of Orion 3. Nothing compares to the incredible letdown that was MoO3. Master of Orion 1 was a fantastic game, and Master of Orion 2 even better, I spent my early teens/late childhood playing it and Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
All they had to do was not to completely overhaul everything, not to simplify everything and not to fuck up the perfect crafting/upgrade system they got. They fucked up everything in more ways than imaginable.
A deep strategy with no strategic elements, the worst UI I've seen in a game ever and incredibly horrible balancing.
MoO3 is not only the most disappointing game ever, since it followed one of the best games, it's also one of the worst games ever. Maybe the worst.
>MoP was good though
When did people started enjoying FFXII?
Don't get me wrong, I kind like it but before XIII it was consider one of the worst FFs
>Brotherhood of Steel
I didn't even know this was a thing thank god.
>I love to play rpgs were I can play as an evil character but Fallout 4 doesn't let you play an evil character.
Or really any character. You direct the tone when you say yes but that's about it.
It was. The new continent looked awesome it's problem was that it didn't fit to Warcraft.
But from content that Mop had it was really awesome.
Also fuck you for only Image reply
Inquisition is far better than DA2. Not saying much, it is still incredibly mediocre.
Don't judge me.
I figured, but I just lost interest anyway.
...
Yeah not with fallout 4 at least I don't think. Like a whole team of talent modders would have to gut the entirety of the game and write a new script complete with actually fallout dialog and skill checks.
Fucking this.
Game would have been better if it weren't open world.
