>What do I do in-game?
General rundown is: Get generator running, set up the railguns, go to objective marker, kill monster/get artifact, go to endpoint. Also fix any hullbreaches and get any unwanted water out the sub during all of that.These tasks are all shared across the crew obviously, so you don’t have to (and shouldn’t) do all of it yourself.

No. The game has character skills and the assistant is objectively worst at everything. Take engie or mech.
>What are the controls?
WASD to move, E to interact, Tab to chat. Type "r;" in front of your message to talk on the radio. LMB uses most objects in your hand, some others have to be “aimed” with RMB first, like any weapon or the welder/cutter. CTRL to crouch.
>How do I set up the generator?
Set shutdown temp to 6-7k, then fission to 100% until around 2k (grid load and temp should be the same), then enable auto-adjustment and you’re basically done unless someone fucks with it. Just make sure to replace the fuel rod once it’s empty.
>How do I set up the railgun?
Set the capacitors to charge at 100% and put the shells into the loader (pick them up with E, then hit E on the loader and drag them into the boxes with your mouse). Protip: C4 (and possibly stun grenades) can be put into the shells to make them more deadly.
>How do I fire the railgun?
E on the periscope, then RMB to aim and LMB to fire.
>How do I equip a diving suit?
Unequip your current clothes, then hit E on the diving suit. Don’t forget to put in an oxygen tank

Not true, I've actually done quite a lot of improvements to the map generation algorithm during the last few weeks.

The map layouts are now much more varied, and there are procedurally generated alien ruins in every map, with traps, rare items and monsters inside.

If there's a still thread up when I get home from work I'll post some screenshots.

is it possible to make double-clicking on items in your inventory or in a storage transfer from eachother, it's a pain to drag everything and I mean everything, even more so when making a sub

Will be added in the next update, I did some improvements to the lighting and the "fog of war" thing and adding conical lights (such as flashlights) is now much easier.

Double-clicking items in a storage should move them to your inventory, but yeah I agree that it should work the other way around as well.

There is a bug when you edit the sub and resave, so the airlock gap is blue, then it has water in it initially. If you delete the gap and save, its then red, and airlock is dry on load.
Kinda fiddly having to delete every external gap after changing your sub in any way.

Can you make a "mission preference" setting or something? So it would be more likely to get preferred missions?
Also the game is kinda easy when you can drive the sub well, you just breeze through levels and kite monsters.

I've been cap to a crew of nothingatalls, just turn on reactor and drive, if its a kill mission you teach them to shoot first. You can effortlessly kite everything and keep distance.
Maybe if monsters were faster, but they're slow as shit.

Also don't make autopilot better, maybe make it worse, you know, for fun

Yeah that's on my todo list, it would definitely be useful to be able to affect the mission type

Haven't been able to reproduce these, can you give any more details? Do these happen if you do something specific or in some specific subs?

where there are two people near a ladder you have a lot of trouble grabbing the ladder sometimes, usually one has to move away or something, maybe its cause there are dynamic interactables close by as well?

on Gato MK II F top right of the airlock got broken by a monster, and the farthest top right bit was unfixable for some reason. i think it was the highlighted one, or the one to the right of it, it was just black all the time.

also linking batteries together doesn't work, don't know if that's a bug or not
