What are some JRPGs where the hero doesn't use a sword, gun, or his fists?

What are some JRPGs where the hero doesn't use a sword, gun, or his fists?

That list is shit.

...

A

FUCKING

TOTEM POLE

>Soul Edge above Soul Calibur
Otherwise good list.

How do you hold even hold that without mincing your hands to crap? It has no handle!

>Implying there's anything wrong with the Buster Sword.
Yeah, it's huge, but it also has a pleasing, simple design. It doesn't suffer from being over designed like many other SE weapons do.

Terranigma, that's spears all day

>HF Blade, Ragnell, and Frostmourne that high
Alright.

>What are some JRPGs where the hero doesn't use a sword, gun, or his fists?

Suikoden: Bo staff
Suikoden 2: Tonfas
Suikoden 5: Tri-nunchaku

Technically this is SRPG but none of your units are specifically tied to using one weapon over another. You can have nine guys all rolling dualwielded shields if you want to.

Would the Mario and Luigi or at least Superstar games count as JRPG? If yes then hammers.

worst sword in the game

wasn't that bad?

>Master Sword that high
>Isn't even the best sword of the game that made it popular

From a gameplay perspective, sure, but design wise it's still very solid and iconic.

no you don't understand
this is 100% pure stanless steel
you don't need a handle when your totem has no trace of Stan anywhere

Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy IX

It's only bad if you can't figure out how to work the battle system. Enemy units move one at a time simultaneous to you moving your units, so you have to experiment and find out how to anticipate how the AI is going to come at you.

When you get really good you can completely immobilize and fuck with like 70% of the bosses in the game by building block forts around them so they can't get out, among other hilarious ways you can run circles around the computer.

how the fuck do you even hold this thing

Are there any JRPGs where the hero is a mage or other spellcasting class?

>I have never seen a Katar before
Retard alert.

>Rebellion that high
>Red Queen that low
Clearly someone doesn't like to go vroom vroom when cutting niggas up.

Trails in the sky SC, Estelle uses a staff

Best Sword from indie game coming through

paper mario

To be fair it's an alien weapon designed for a creature that has two index fingers and two thumbs on each hand.

>Ragnell
>Mani Katti
>No Durandal or Falchion anywhere

MC in trails in the sky uses a staff.

Etrian Odyssey Untold
Suikoden 2
Growlanser 2 and 5
Dungeon Travelers 2

Pokemon is a JRPG right?

fixed

...

What's wrong with the Monado?

Suikoden 2 as well. Since he used Tonfa's.

Come to think of it, are there any JRPGs where the hero is a mage instead of a fighter?

Lost Magic

Well there's the Slayers RPGs, obviously.

Lucienne's Quest

>Master Sword

It's just a generic fucking sword. Man, fuck Zelda and everything about it, and fuck you for liking it.

The answer to your question is The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.

>Lilarcor
>god tier

Bullshit. It's funny for the first hour or so and then you realize it never shuts the fuck up and repeats the same annoying lines endlessly.

Paper Mario and its sequel

>genric
you mean functional, unlike your shitty weeaboo garbage.

>TitS
>shitty
Pick one, or you're a faggot.

That puts it average at best. God tier should go above average in a positive way, in both design and functionality. There is literally nothing special about the Master Sword besides everyone telling you how much of a big deal it is.

>falchion
Eat shit.
