Most of those are Sup Forums's fault.
A horrible, boring game that actually offended me in how unrealistic and artificial the slice of life shit was
Portal has the exact same problem that Nightmare Before Christmas has, great actual product, a fucking insufferable fanbase.
Portal is good, but I just hate it cause it makes me motion sick as fuck.
the second game is much better
what the fuck is a fanbase?
I like Portal, I think Portal 2 is way better, but I almost cant stand playing them because I think of all the pop culture shit that has sprouted from them.
What did she mean by this?
See Portal and its sequel are one of a handful of vidya that does this - I can't get past a level without feeling like I need to puke.
>she
The loot drop system in this game was so much cock-tease and frustration that I couldn't really enjoy it. I guess I'm that way with pretty much ALL randomly-generated-loot games though.

Dragon's Dogma.
Holy shit that game is boring.
>high 90%+ approval on steam
>decent metacritic
Well received enough to qualify to bitch about on this thread.
I think the OP is talking about Sup Forums's reception though
Mirrors Edge
110% this. I could barely get through the first few hours and that was me FORCING myself to play. I'm not even sure WHY the game is so boring, mechanically all the elements of good game are there... but I feel like I have zero investment for some reason.
Pretty sure nobody except hipsters liked this game.
Everyone liked Mirrors Edge
I'm convinced the fans of these series are normies who take 20 hours to learn the basic mechanics and invuln frames.
I dunno that I "hate" Dark Souls, but I definitely agree it's overrated. Then again I'm one of the people who picked it up because I had heard so much about "MUH DIFFICULTY!" and then ended up being dissapointed that 98% of the "difficulty" is just memorizing attack telegraphs and a few areas of dick map-design.
