I think some of them are medleys of multiple songs and its only slightly less than normal for this series. It's definitely a series past its peak.

What do you mean by "melodies"? I like Project Diva (though I've only played f and f2nd), but I don't remember seeing any melodies there. Do the melodies change alot between them or what?

Because they ran out of all the popular songs to licence and won't bother trying to license more from the plethora of fanmade shit out there.

They copied the Call of Duty model and applied it to Senran Kagura, Monster Hunter, and Neptunia, and those are focus tested to sell gangbusters every time.
