>People hated HM2
This is news to me. What the fuck, why?
Because you had to use the shift key sometimes and pay attention to your surroundings.
it's bretty gud now that it has the level editor
>it has the level editor
Still no workshop tho
Everyone that has played Dark Souls 1/Demons Souls likes Dark Souls 2 but maybe not as much as its predecessors, and if they tell you otherwise they are lying to themselves
it did not have the same flow of gameplay as 1. you actually had to stop, wait and use more keys to progress. this is what annoyed most fans
I can understand liking it but it's so damn weak. It's like if Alejandro Innaritu made a video game.
Window-shooting. I think it's only a real problem in a couple of levels. Pardo's boat level is amazing once you get the hang of it.
That's strange, i felt that way a lot more about the first game, maybe because combos were less important. I felt like HM2 forced you to be a lot more aggressive if you wanted an A+ or an S.
Ironically, I've gotten so good at HM2, I now find it easier than HM1.
man i thought you meant ds2 had a mapping program. fuck you.
When you adapt to the gameplay changes and provided you're willing to roll with them, it's pretty great
A+'d all normal levels and beat hard mode which is neat, but killed incentive to go back and replay
fuck you this game rules
submarines are the shit
it has some flaws like limited visual parts for some cars, shitty story and dudebro feel but other than that its the best need for speed right now.
Is it worth the pickup along with the first one with the current Steam sale?
still pretty unbalanced, but the gunplay is good.
i just want fez 2, plz phil fish , plz
If you want it so badly, just suck his dick, choke on it
Still one of my favourite games
...
Don't see the need to defend it. It's objectively the best Far Cry that only normies will deny.
95% of the people who "don't like" HM2 just whine because they can't wrap their heads around the plot and resort to accusing the creators of pulling shit from their ass when they didn't.
Dishonored 2 coming this year get hype
I am hyped. Hope they make it harder.
I had fun with it the first time
I fucking loved Dishonored. It was flawed, but still a grear game.
>big, open levels with side quests and secrets
>the setting and lore
>the Abbey mission
>Lady Boyle's party
>stopping time and killing DIO style
>god tier DLC
I really need to upgrade my toaster before the sequel comes out.
It's a great game that excellently translated the classical Castlevania gameplay into 3D.
The camera isn't worse than Ocarina of Time or Mario 64, the levels were varied with fun boss battles and it had the best design of Dracula's monster/demon form of any Castlevania game.
I just don't like the pace of the game compared to the first. Too many things awkwardly far away
>they are lying to themselves
Huh, didn't realize that despite uninstalling the game and never touching it again, that I actually like it.
HM2 was a true sequel in terms of gameplay.
It upped the challenged and those that couldn't take it were babis.
Because it required you to GIT GUD and learn levels.
I thought it was amazing.
Yeah, thats my main criticism of it, Hard Mode is fucking retarded as hell too.
the instant and constantly re-spawning checkpoints and garbage AI are the issues people had then and now, theres a neat world and decent gunplay but over all its a shitty game and as immersive as a shallow puddle
same i love it
Amores perros is great tho
No they don't user, the plot is beyond obvious, most of us rightfully bitch about the level design being ass, the AI being far too responsive, how many levels have only one really good way of getting shit done and peekaboo being a fucking thing instead of fast flowing action.
Hardmode is just spamming fat gundudes while flipping the screen user. They knew what they were doing, and they sacrificed level design and fun for a shit story.
...
>gun based gameplay
>shitty level design
soundtrack was fucking 10/10 but gameplay was probably 5/10 at best
with that said, I realise 90% of criticisms are fairly justified.
Which one is that? Does recenzja mean newest one or something?
it means review
Liking it is fine, but it is not a better game than the first.
The first game rewards you for being a complete maniac.
Storm into a room, throw a wrench at the one gun guy, punch out the guy with the bat who charges, take the bat and kill the other 3 guys who are charging, and execute the gun guy when you're done.
2 is just
POP AROUND CORNER
AI RUNS TO YOU
SHOOT THEM
and praying you don't get hit by instant death from across the map because there's a guy in Alaska behind a window with a gun shooting you when you're in Wyoming.
Guns were not fun in the first game, melee was fun. They took out what was fun in the first one and put in more of what sucked.
I played 7 hours and never touched it again, thought it was dogshit.
that said after how mediocre 3 was maybe I should give it another shot.
HM2 was great, whiners need to get good.
Also that story took me places.
Autists who expected to play 2 in the exact same way as 1, saw that they couldn't, and then instead of simply adapting they went full retard.
The only game in the series that I liked.
>love game for being fun
>expect sequel to game to offer more of that fun I loved
>get something completely different and not fun
I shouldn't have to 'adapt' to a completely different style of gameplay that's ultimately much less enjoyable.
If they made a whole game of the hospital stealth level from 1, I would think it was garbage.
An extremely fun game, I really liked it, and playing the others after it feels really archaic. 3 is still manageable I suppose. Anyway, I don't know why this is the last game in the series, it was so damn good...
It sold like shit, probably due to the release of the next gen consoles around the same time.
Which is a shame, it has the best gameplay of the series, really good 2 player co-op, playable characters who actually feel different (especially Roberto), even the RPG mechanics were decently done.
this game compatible with gamepad?
Story took you places?
Some radical assholes who hate russia and made a fuckton of ex-military or just desperate people do their bidding and kill a fuckton of mobsters, sparking the end of the world via nucler war took you places? All the effort of both games being void, all characters becoming irrelevant, decisions aswell, and you say the fact a bunch of redneck nationalist assholes who couldn't keep it to themselves, exploited people to have them murder who they didn't like and ended the world because they hated russia "took you places"?
Get fucking real user. Story was always a side thing, not a major focus, the run and gun of the first game was what mattered and what made people love it, people hate the second cause it went from rushing a level in one clean sweep and having fun with failing and retrying till ya got it perfectly to a bogged down peekaboo im going to shoot you or Im going to be shot from 2 screens away.
>people don't like DS2
>people don't like DS3
>Dark Souls PC port was a disaster
Why is this franchise held to such high regard again?
how the fuck did this game get perfect 10 reviews all around when it came out? everyone seems to hate it now, and I don't think its just the Zelda cycle at play either.
there is no Zelda cycle, every 3D Zelda is just worse than the last, except maybe WW and TP which are equally flawed
Found the sonygger bloodfag
Keep staying mad
DaS1>BB>DaS3>King's Field 2 and 3>Dark Souls 2>King's Field
Haven't owned a Sony console since the PS2 and couldn't give less of a shit about Bloodborne, guess again
I loved it but where the fuck is the full level editor? Wasn't it supposed to have Steam support?
Well i never got to play it because my country is silly when it comes to games.
FF XIII in general
Dennaton straight up told us to pirate it m8
>t\ not one man army
Retard.
I loved the whole trilogy. XIII-2 was best overall though I thought LR did a lot of cool things making it a fairly unique game.
...
...
Glass castles and fat guys everywhere
...
DmC
4's still my favourite though.
>Bloodline starts playing
DS2 was bad on release (from what I understand) and excellent a year later. The same will probably be said of DS3 in a year. I only ever played DS2 after SotFS came out and enjoyed all of the game.
Hotline Miami 2 is 3.74€ on Steam right now, is it worth it?
Have You played HM1? Did You like it?
Then HM2 is just the same, but with more content.
Have You not?
It's high chance You will like it, but then, I cannot guarantee it.
It's a 9 hour HM1 but a little slower and with more baiting. It's definitely worth it.
yes, but it's a different game from HL1
HL1 was easy as fuck so the difficulty was in getting creative
HL2 is hard as fuck and has more strategy involved due to ""bullshit"" level design, but it's still really fun to find the "solution" to levels
at that price I'd buy it twice
If You play as Tony or similar character You are forced to bait on corners.
However, it is a great thrill and challenge to rush the maps on Hard difficulty.
huh? Attila is hailed as the mechanically best game in the series, most people just don't like the period.
Is it people still being as blasted by Rome2?
Did you enjoy the fluid combat of the first and the soundtrack?
Well, say goodbye to the fluidity of it and throw it out the fucking window for much slower one, half baked story slapped on it and a decent soundtrack. If you go in with extremely low expectations, you will likely like it,other than that, avoid
A lot of people on Sup Forums liked Dishonored overall.
i had to use cheats to beat that level in hard mode after hundreds and hundreds of tries
there was simply no fucking way
theres not even enough ammo for ethe first guys if you bring a gun from previous section, and melee is a nono because theres guys with guns behind a mirror
fuck that, seriously
the music is PTSD for me right now
Spot the shitter with C grades. The game is designed to be played a lot more nervously than the first one except maybe for a couple of levels.
Also it's pretty subjective but i liked HM2's soundtrack more overall, i felt the tracks fit the characters and levels really well.
See the thing is, it should not be designed to be a slower game when the first game's appeal was the potential of fluidity and motion, the non interrupted combat.
Like you said, around only 2 are like the first, hence why I said, if the user played 1 and enjoyed it for its fluid combat, to go in with the minimal expectations possible. Ill agree that the tunes are rather good, but just saying its slower and meant to be played slower doesn't mean it changes my mind as to how that's a shitty thing about the game user.
You misunderstood me, i said the game felt more nervous than the first one except for a couple of levels. It's not meant to be played slower, this is proved by the emphasis on combos.
I beat it without cheats but yeah the music is actually a fucking PTSD trigger for me now.
