SUP WEEBNERDS?

SUP WEEBNERDS?

How was this game? I thought it looked pretty great, ARPG with a bunch of not-Pokemon demons or something and two lesbians. But I kinda forgot that it came out. No one talked about it.

I recommended it to some weebfriend who loves Neptunia and shit, and it seems he loved it. I would've loved it too, but fuck PS4.

...

Fuck off

hmm I was never big into Neptunia, but I still might have to check this out when it drops in price. Which probably won't be long.

Launched with a specific theme and timed free DLC, due to that Amazon was ordered to stop sales for a specific time

For over a week retailers were charging around $65 for the game, which was plentiful in Amazon's warehouse

The early adopters realized that the game is mediocre as fuck.

>No one talked about it
Because barely anyone wanted to take the plunge and spend full retail price on a game that was at best, a 7, if you're being EXTREMELY generous.

How does it hold up to ar nosurge?

I really liked the thing between delta and Cass, it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Also felt surprisingly natural and not forced at all. Can't believe a JRPG had good writing or at least characters.

fuck Ion though. Those interactions were cinrgy as fuck. At least it was fun(ny) I guess.

Because CDN$ 84.99.

Its pretty good from what I've played. soundtrack is phenomenal as expected of Gust.

It's 69,99.

still pretty lame they didn't localize the Vita version.

It is nowww.
$70 is still too high.

>It's 69

This guy gets it. I'm intending to pick it up in a few months when it gets down to $20. From what I've seen about this game, it's not worth more than that.

I hope they do because I'd double dip. But at least they're bringing ps4 and vita versions of Sophie so I'll be picking both versions up.

Sup Forums made it sound like it was better than your average RPG these days. How did it work out? Does it atleast live up to be Tales-average? I hope it's better since the series has now become the line of shit or fine/good.

You're assuring no more weeb games will be made. A game like that can't be made on 20 bucks, no matter whether it's a 7 or not. Then we have Uncharted, the mother of all 7s that will sell like 8 million copies and get 10s everywhere even though it's just a long interactive action movie.

Booooooooobbbbbbssss.
It was worthwhile if you picked it up with a discount

The combat, due to not being in unique arenas, feels more naturally a part of the world. I don't know why Tales has kept doing separate arenas when it's an ARPG. Unless it just switched over recently and that's why everyone complained about the camera in that new one.

Is it true that this game has NTR in it?

No one on Sup Forums knows since no one on Sup Forums bought it. They're all too poor to afford spending full price on a weeb new IP, so there will never be any weeb new IPs. Then vidya dies.

Hey I bought it day 1 but didn't get around to starting until a few days ago

This. It seems like a fine game but there's nothing particularly pulling about it.
I bought it day one to support Gust and yuri games.

Thank you for supporting weeb new IPs

I have disposable money and feel like playing a weebtastic game, should I get this? If so, why?

Fuck you for saying that about Ion. You didn't get anything at all, and you obviously didn't bother with Ciel nosurge's story at all.

The soundtrack in the altar of joden is really fucking good

Also KT aren't the worst localizers around, but they need to do better proofreading because I always see a lot of typos in their translations.

Lesbianism and Folklore/Curse of Darkness/Chaos Legion-like AI partner summoning.

Anime Tiddies.jpeg

Ar No Surge was a huge mess, they'd refer to one of the bosses as "Jill" then literally two lines later call her "Zill" instead.

It has lesbians, great music, fun if somewhat easy and spammy combat and a system akin to pokemon where you collect summons and level them up

Sold. Assuming it has Japanese VA?

I doubt its final boss can hold up to the epic nature of Ar's. Ar is just the best "bad" game ever made. It's like Evil Dead or something.

It only has Japanese VA

Yeah it's JP voices only actually

Now i wanna play dat fight again, it was a little too long on and easy on hard but was still breddy gud.

Sweet. No reason to get English for this type of game anyhow.

PC version when? Come on Gust, you can't ignore us forever.

Well Ar's difficulty was basically balanced so hard would be normal mode in most AA games. So the highest difficulty (very hard? or something else, I forget) might be more equivalent to a normal hard

- Gust
- Lesbians instead of a badass male protagonist
- Gust
- $59.99 instead of a $29.99 VITA game

Steam seems to be eating up weeb games currently so I'd want them to try it to potentially get a good additional revenue stream but I'd feel discouraged if they somehow didn't get as many sales as they hoped for on the platform.

Ah, that's good. Well, if you can say the actual gameplay is on tales-level. It should be pretty playable. What about the story?

Why can't you just like lesbians? Why can't a female character be badass?

I really don't want gust games to become steam shovelware. Traditionally console series going to steam is always a fucking disaster.

Nights of Azure... is mediocre. 90% of the game is too easy. The last 10% is when you finally hit the last boss and post game bosses. That is when it gets hard.... especially if you haven't maxed out your level yet like I did.

But for a lesbian yuri game, it hit off all the right notes. The girls are exactly everything a real lesbian would love.

At the very least, I'm happy that Gust is trying out new IPs and trying to make a action title.

KT has no idea how to port to PC.
The games they have put on Steam are shitpiles.

I had more of a hard time with the mobs of the room before the boss fight as with the boss itself. The visuals, music and everything else about that series of fights make up for it through. I still get chills thinking about that even though my last playthrough was months ago. I don't think they will top that any time soon.

Some of the greatest JRPGs of all time are "too easy."

So, is there NTR in this game? I heard that they aren't actually lesbian and one of the girl gets a "boyfriend".

Though the animations in that game is shit, should have stayed with hand drawn sprites instead.

NIS disgust me.

Of course their profits are falling. They made Disgaea 5, and then made it exclusive to a console which at the time had like 10 million sales and main marketing strategy is to dudebros who want multiplatform trash.

They didn't put it on PS3, where a major part of their audience is and they also didn't put it on PC where another 500k+ copies potentially could have been sold. Instead they put the oldest game in the series that I can play ANY VERSION I WANT with assorted emulators.

Japanese businessman need to be taken out and shot.

The sideboob game in this is insane

I hope Trillion sold well, I like the Disgaea old boys and I'm really glad they're free and trying out new games.
The game has flaws and no marketing budget, but it's a neat idea and it's got a lot of charm.

Nis has mostly switched to working on low budget vita games. I bought D5 but NIS is looking like they're on their way to complete irrelevancy

Aight, I put my money where my mouth was, now time to wait for it to download and install.

I think Sony paid them some to make Disgaea 5 exclusive to PS4 to try to get some Japanese adoption on PS4 and they figured they might as well because they'd never get free money like that again until next gen

Is there any difficulty setting?

It was a good time. But nothing is particularly inspired or new. I'd compare it to something, but I can only think of a food analogy, so I won't. Wait for a discount.

Hope your TV has a "No Overscan" option, though.

I made a screenshot of near every typo I saw in this game.

Lemme see if I can get them.

And you can see that clearly did not work out for them.

Hell, big budget Japanese games are still being released for the PS3 because nobody owns a PS4 in Japan.

I found Escha and nosurge boring as hell and didn't bother with Shallie, I just lost faith in Gust.

That guy straight-up lied to you. The two main characters are in love and the game is very clear on this.

It was pretty shitty, no really redeeming qualities unless you're a bottom feeder that likes yuri.

Sales on PS4 have picked up in Japan, enough that vgchartz can say PS4 versions of some games outsell the Vita versions. Just can't expect miracles--like the sales being proportional to US PS4 sales or Europe ones. But Disgaea 5 was too early, I agree, so far less Japanese had a PS4 at that time.

What games do you like user?

You will buy Sophie's game, won't you?

>Game looks interesting
>Don't want to play it because Yuri is always melodramatic and shit and I don't particularly like fags in the first place.

Oh well.

She looks like she enjoys explosion magic the way she is drawn here.

>tfw I'm buying both ps4 and vita version

Haha ebin meme, fellow ledditor

>The girls are exactly everything a real lesbian would love.
Too bad we can never ask an actual lesbian because she'd feel offended by just seeing the cover

I'd say it's similar to Chaos Legion.

The mirror makes it look like she has one ass cheek

Isn't too complicated to jerk off and play at the same time? Besides, the internet has all the porn I'll need for the rest of my life

Probably not, Dusk is just a boring setting.
It's not dusk, it's just not-dusk

>Hope your TV has a "No Overscan" option, though.
What if I play PS4 games on a PC monitor? Am I boned?

But it isn't melodramatic in this game though. There is no "But we're both girls" taboo bullshit. It's just a knight and a priestess are in love with each other, and the knight's a woman too. That's it.

Got them. Get ready.

>You have complete your quest.

...

...

This honestly still looks melodramatic to me. I wouldn't like that even if they were straight.

I think an example of love I liked in a game was Abyss. The small moment at the end made it a good love story for me. I think I'm too emotionally stunted to understand love. Even playing Pandora's Tower, I cannot comprehend the main characters actions or why he would do that sort of thing.

Beyond parental feelings which I feel and understand going to crazy lengths for somebody because you "love" them is a foreign concept to me.

Sorry for blogging.

Do they make out?

...

It looks super interesting

...

Those enemies look really cute, even the spider

Good work grabbing all of these my man.

This one really gets me. How do you make THIS mistake?

>learned
disgusting.

The gameplay is repetitive arse, and it's clearly got an even lower budget than Atelier does. The vast, vast majority of scenes only use a few canned gestures with only a few actually being animated, the FPS is unreliable even on the PS4, the game is constantly sending you back and forth across areas you've already been, the environments all have a stupid fog over them that makes them look awful. The writing isn't particularly enjoyable either, the story glosses over too much about the world and setting to focus on the lesbian main characters' feelings to get particularly invested, and it all moves at a very fast pace with poor balance of serious and light hearted scenes.

Since it's Gust, it at least has a great soundtrack. But since it's Gust, it's also Acttil, and so the localisation is shit, like usual.
It's just not very good.

Dammit, wrong one.

>This honestly still looks melodramatic to me. I wouldn't like that even if they were straight.

>A character is never allowed to tell someone they love them or it's melodramatic

What.

You're welcome, there are a couple other I missed.

This one ain't a typo, but it's fun with no context.

I loved it. Was similar to Kingdom Hearts DDD in combat. I love some girl love too

Oh fuck yeah space popes

I had to read that twice to spot it since brain my did that thing where it automatically fixed the mistake.

>Also KT aren't the worst localizers around, but they need to do better proofreading because I always see a lot of typos in their translations.
It's Acttil. KT have outsourced every Gust game to them since the acquisition.

Once I get around to finishing E&L I'll have one of these for that too. I don't know if I'll even finish Azure but for all the fuckups in that I could hardly even fit them into a collage.
