The story behind Ciel No Surge and it's continuation is pretty interesting to me. I've absorbed spoilers for that series like an amoeba.

I could learn Japanese but realistically I can't in a conceivable timeframe.

Worked at a vidya store at the time too. We had a video game music playlist we'd toss on every once in a while. Put some AT 1&2 tracks on it and everybody dug the music.

Start from the first game. Get fantranslation for second game. Do what you want with third game. Many people hate it for good reasons, but it still gives nice end for the trilogy.

Play at least first Ar Tonelico before starting Ar Nosurge.

Croix tames her with the power of dick however but the danger she presented was already gone. But Croix is probably the best lead in the games in general, he even learns fucking Hymmnos just to serenade Mir.

I only played qoga and enjoyed it, so I assume the others must be great since qoga is generally considered the worst one.

I like the Ion staying ending more than the leaving ending. Tragic endings are fun desu.

Still waiting for news about next Exa Pico game. Some people have been saying that Gust said theres going to be some announcement about the series later this year, but I havent seen anything about it.

Qoga has among the best tracks but the gameplay translated really poorly from 2D to 3D. If it was your first going back will probably be awkward as fuck since they are good ol' turnbased jRPGs.

Cosmospheres, story, characters and especially music are nice in Qoga, but battles and graphichs are just awful compared to its predecessors.

because other than the romance part he has fuck all else to do the entire game. he's basically vaan from ff12. a character who's actual character has no bearing on the story at all. he's only there for the battles and to be the players viewpoint.

the only thing they gave him seemingly out of obligation is that pathetic subplot with Targana which takes its sweet time to go absolutely nowhere at all.

and really, i'd be fine with it, except he has a lot of dialogue in this long ass game, and all of it is basically

I loved one, but I hated how the series got so progressively fanservice bait with each installment.

1 had subtle tones, Like jamming in the crystals, and the implications.

2. had that mineral bath thing which was kind of weird but still acceptable

3 had that god awful combat and LOL GIRLS LOSE THEIR CLOTHES, CAUSE THEY CAN! nonsense at each level, Nothing but SEX SEX SEX jokes at every turn and not even the slightest bit subtle, Fetishism bait with the guardians, and WAY too much lewd.

Its really sad. I love the series but I'm not into /that/ kind of thing. And 3 just outright killed it for me.
