He isn't a moundmaker

Do people even summon them through white soap stone?
Sure. All the time.
I don't understand this covenant, their goal is still to kill the host right? So why summon one?
or kill the phantoms
can make for some fun user
>their goal is still to kill the host right?
No.
their goal is i dunno lol
They only get rewarded for killing the host.
people just want to PvP
Would be cool if you could summon them when are not enkindeled and they didn't toss embers out like candy.
Only ever summoned one to fuck with him by a fog wall he could not pass.
Wrong.
OR phantoms.
>They only get rewarded for killing the host.
No they don't.
Stop fucking posting if you've never even played as one.
In 2 playthroughs now Ive fucked up joining that covenant completely. I never fucking summon them.
Aldrich faithful master race.
Who gives a shit.
Every character is a Mound-Maker-Darkmoon-Rosaria's-Finger-Sunbro
Covenants mean nothing in das3.
Don't sweat the details
I'd like Mound Makers if invading still allowed me to help the host.
Why would anyone be a Darkmoon since they never get summoned
I ran into a couple of mound makers here and there but where do you join the covenant?
If you have the covenant item with you are a darkmoon.
Covenants suck so much in das3.
I just switch to darkmoon if im not invading or doing coop
>play some pvp
>completely burnt out after 20 matches or so even after winning most
>literally never get a desire to do more pvp
dunno how people do it, its just killing annoying people and occasionally meeting some friendly guy goofing off which gets boring after 2 seconds
>Another nana disappeared
>So the grandson carries a cage~
>He ever has his cage~
>And nana's never coming back
>So come into the cage, and become nana's shade
in the undead settlement, there's a big guy with a cage on his back
go behind him and get in his cage
make sure you do this before you kill the tree
Undead Settlement. When you cross the wooden bridge near the burning tree, turn right and go up the ladder, then drop down the right side of the rooftop. You'll see one of those saw-wielding guys patrolling the area. Don't attack him, he's not aggressive. Instead interact with the cage on his back.
Aw fuck is that the guy in the cage that was stuck with all those bodies? I accidently killed him when I ran into him. I should've stopped when I noticed he had more health than the others. Ah well. Next playthrough then.
PvE is what you play these games for.
It is fun to get invaded from time to time but to actually play these games for pvp is like playing party games competitively.
>different experience every time
You mean either you join the ganksquad to fuck up some poor red or get ganked yourself if there isn't one?
It's too late I'm far into the game and I killed him a while back. I did the dirty deed done dirt cheap.
no but youve already beaten curse rotted greatwood so you cant get the covenant
No it's okay. He's just telling you how.
Before you killed the tree boss, you can climb into the cage on the back of the large enemy who hangs out in that area. After you kill the boss, it's from finishing Sirris' quest which involves helping her kill her father.
Either jump into the cage of the friendly cage guy before killing the greatwood or later in the game get summoned by sirris in front of the greatwood boss.
You can if you help Sirris
Oh okay yeah I already did that a while back. Maybe I'll make a new character and try it out.
Well if you haven't fucked up Sirris questline yet you can still join towards the end of the game.
as a mage/glass cannon, mound maker is the shittiest and most unfun covvy
>be a shitter with an obscuring ring and a CSS that hits for 1200
>invade
>its a gank squad
>"oh boy i cant wait to be an obnoxious shitter!"
>catch some aldritch/red/other purple in the crossfire and one shot them with a spell
>this happens repeatedly until i just get my shackle and my fun is ruined
the most fun ive had is invading as a red and just killing other phantoms for hours and running off until the host d/cs or i get caught and trained down by 2-3 people
>no fixed Gravelords covenant in DS3
why live
>Goals
>Rewards
Most invader covenant items suck. Souls from invading suck.
You invade or get summoned to have fun. Being a Mound Maker just means you get to choose how you have your fun.
>You mean either you join the ganksquad to fuck up some poor red or get ganked yourself if there isn't one?
Or help them clear the level. Or betray a naive invader who thinks you're on his side. Or lure the host to somewhere cool and then betray them/backstab them. Or lead the gankers on a wild goose chase through the depths of the level. Heck, my favorite thing on launch week was Graping in the Aldritch Faithful zone and bullying Aldritch Faithfuls exclusively.
plot twist: these things arent actually very fun
I just invaded and killed darkmoons
>What's an opinion?
>I don't understand!
Every time I summon you fucking idiots you just want to fight like an invader
nah only autists enjoy it
>he doesn't judge people based on their character named, weapon choice and fashion before summoning
You deserve what you get when you summon "RARE PEPE"
Wild card bitches.
>implying
Shit is fun
youtube.com
Thank god I'm autistic
>Just trying to kill the host every single time
>Fun
Some of us have played more than one game in the series.
Every single time I summoned you, you fuckers straight up attacked me, so no, I'm avoiding all purple signs.
see
Or I could just summon white and golds exclusively and not have to deal with your grape bullshit.
I typically help the host out and attack phantoms. If he gets to a fog gate and doesnt attack me, then i drop him an ember and leave
You could. But Whites and Golds are a mixed bag. Grapes are almost always quite good at the game. Bad players stop graping pretty quickly.
The worst they can do is die, at least they won't backstab me when I least expect it.
How the fuck do mound makers get into games with other hostile phantoms, all I'm getting are 2+ whites or oranges
>The worst they can do is die
A grape won't die though. And he'll swat invaders like flies.
That was at low level, 15~20 right when I got to undead settlement.
There were signs everywhere and I got called like every 5 seconds.
Low level PVP is way easier to find.
I rarely attack the host, unless they attack me or are running a gank squad.
As a normal phantom, there's always this feeling like you have to "babysit" the host. You're expected to stay nearby and fight whatever they're fighting. As a purple, you can run off and do whatever you feel like.
I like invading as a purple and killing Alrich Faithfuls, too. It's the most likely spot in the game where a solo host would get invaded, and you get to chase their invaders into the enemy, where they're usually safest.
Assuming most people summon because they want to get through the game with as little risk to themselves as possible, why would any of them actually summon purples?
Do you get Proofs of Concord Well kept for killing aldrichs as a mound-maker?
Grapes are certified good players. They kill humans and monsters equally well. It's a risk and reward situation.
Ok so whats up with the Cleric's Candlestick?
>has Cleric name on it
>mentions clerics on its description
>has 12 minimum faith for proper use
>HOWEVER
>no faith scaling
>has int scaling
>Heavy attack allows to cast SPELLS, not MIRACLES.
Where From devs drunk as all fuck when they coded this weapon or something? this is one of the weirdest weapon design in the game.
No one cares about your e-peen, faggot. Most golds/whites know their shit too, there's just so many that you'll inevitably come across a few shitters.
No, that'd be too easy.
It just counts towards your phantom kills for another shackle.
>No one cares about your e-peen
It's got nothing to do with e-peens you idiot. Grapes are objectively the most disadvantaged group when they're using a white sopastone. Anybody could choose to attack them, AND the world monsters are against them too.
It's asks the most skill of the player. Therefore it's players will usually be a cut above.
>. Most golds/whites know their shit too
No. Not really. Speaking as a player who does equal amounts of co-op and invading, golds and whites are insanely unreliable. Some might be good PvE partners but only a fraction of them know how to engage an enemy in a PVP situation and come out on top. Grapes have to have both these skillsets to survive. Grapes are high skill.
Sirris' quests involve her summoning you to her world, even if you killed the moundmaker guy in your play through you can still do her quest line without any quest breaks. Just don't join Rossaria's fingers and you're fine.
From Software? More like... Dumb Software...
It's an Aldrich/Church of the Deep related item. They did lots of dark sorcery stuff.
At least you don't need 80 covenant items like you did in DaS1.
>fth
>healing shit
>int
>gay arcane sorceries
>ft+int
>fire and deep spells
This is not rocket science.
See this I would have NEVER found out if I went in blind.
I would have went "oh hey another monster" and attacked him on sight like a retard.
>but to actually play these games for pvp is like playing party games competitively.
Dark souls pvp at EVO when.
THere is one npc that tells you about it.
Also there is the message system.
>"Friend ahead therefore Be careful of Attacking"
Seriously you don't have to find out everything yourself and there is nothing wrong with missing some shit.
You know damn well it would be the same 2-3 builds and nothing but rolling for 5 minutes a match.
Sounds just like SFV
I want the spells and rings tho.
I just finished the game on my second character last night, and I think I'm just done with this until the DLC. I've never gotten so bored so fast with a Souls game, even DaS2 which had tons of shit that really fucking irritated me. Is there anything worthwhile left to try on it? I already did a dex turned quality character, and a pyromancer and just have no desire to restart with something else.
farm the npc mobs.
way faster than pvp.
Completely different for me.
Just reached the character cap on das3.
I instantly started a new character once I got all the achievements in das3. That is when I put das2 away.
