Am I to understand Unflappable the 4th is under development as well? I'd buy it the microsecond it hits the shelves if so.

are you serious?

Whats is name? Serious Stone Sam? I am almoste sure there is a stone somewhere

Why yes, as a matter of fact, I am.

You should try the recent Ascending of the Yakuza, it's pretty decent

Hopefully the second installment of Darkness Brawler won't end up shit too

Sam 'Serious' Stone

There's a fourth game in the works, maybe this time not based in Ancient Greece!

It's in development, the devs keep quiet because they don't want to hype stuff yet

The exception was their April Fools post which is pretty funny:

croteam.com/serious-sam-4-cancelled/

>it will showcase the power of new and improved Serious Engine 5, which can now render billions of square feet of sand with no noticeable dropout in frames per second
I see they're targetting the console market again

I can't seem to find either of the games you mentioned, can you provide a link or two?

Look up Rise of the Triad and Shadow Warrior
Both are old FPSs that have recently recieved reboots, the latter is also getting a sequel soon

Oh, duh, of course. I must be retarded, because I immediately forgot my own dumb gimmick for this thread.

Serious sam 3 did what D44M Couldn't do

Prove me wrong

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Happens to all of us

Painkiller is also pretty great and it was on sale on Steam a few weeks ago, though with this one picking a correct version might be problematic

Black/Gold is the original game and the official expansion bundled together, so it's arguably the best version. Some people also like Overdose. Rest, however, are mostly shit and should be avoided

I got all of them on sale last summer. I downloaded them all yesterday, so I can binge on some more rooty tooty point and shooty.

I still haven't beaten it or RotT, actually, despite getting both a while ago

But that's mostly just me getting bored of vidya in general after spending 15 or so minutes in them, because I still found the games themselves a lot of fun (if a bit frustrating at times)

Well holy fuck, I can tell you right now someone at Croteam had a boner for boners. That Thebes level, Christ, I spent all my rockets, lasers and bullets decimating the calcium quantity of the entiret continent of Africa, and died about twelve times. I bet there was a hidden cannon somewhere, but I didn't find it.

Fun as ALL kinds of fuck, though.

There was.

I myself suspected it's existence on the level, but couldn't find it until I used a guide

Pretty obvious place in retrospect, but I'm just too conservative of my ammo to blow up seemingly random walls

my only complaint with the latest game was the final boss gimmick. otherwise as a solid game.

>joining the ded group
There's your problem. This is the actual group, minus the faggot admin.

Unless I'm mistaken, can't you shoot walls open with the revolvers? Or do they require a heavier payload than a dinky .45?

I actually never tried that. I always just assumed that you have to use explosives to destroy those

Wasn't the final boss in TFE gimmicky to an extent as well? You couldn't just shoot at him until he falls over either

Gozer the Gozerian? Yes, you had to literally jump through hoops to cross a stream onto him when he was weak enough, or else he'd regenerate.

Figuring out the right amount of HP for him was a bit problematic to me at first. I'd either not deal enough damage to him beforehand (as in, leave him with just a little below half health) and he'd quickly regenerate after getting back to his senses, or I'd deal too much damage before crossing the streams

The final boss in TSE was a complete pushover though
