As an Indie dev myself working with 3d... 3d is easier to implement than that shitty pixel art. The guy literally just has to make one body and slightly modify it for each character. The animations are as easy as moving a doll's positons instead of drawing each movement frame.

Why the others insist on that horrible pixel art is beyond me.

What was your idea op?

3D has a rather steep initial learning curve, it's easy breezy after that though.
Whereas for pixel art, it's got a very shallow initial learning curve, but getting very good at it is difficult indeed since there's so many wacky things to learn.
For example, how to work with very dark colour gradients when #010101 contrasts so sharply with black, or taking into account that the colour of a pixel also affects the position of it.
