Well?
Well?
>Implying there's 5 million players left
They had 5M "subs" (ie. including Chinese who have even a second of game time left and such like) a while back already with trend towards freefall, while there has been nothing that would spark renewed interest in the game since.
Certainly, there is a "baseline" sub count of the most hardcore Blizzdrones, gold-capped players who might as well purchase the tokens and people who have forgot to cancel their sub, but I very seriously doubt 5M is the level where the numbers would stabilize at. My best guess would be 3M at this point.
Why is it that Square Enix can continue to release content patches for FFXIV and DQX while still working on new expansions, but Blizzard can't or won't for WoW?
It costs money and they still get substantial profits from Blizzdrones using their cash shop etc.
That makes sense.
Because XIV releases content 3 bosses at a time so they can squeeze a year out of a 12 boss raid
>5 million
The fact that they no longer report it means it's lower than that
They also release content outside raids, unlike Blizzard.
>5 million
where?
When I last cared to estimate based on armoury stats like a year ago, I was estimating around 1.5mil each in US and EU and I imagine it has declined since then.
is it really that bad ?
i play on a german servers, its pretty gud there
they "raised the server caps"
:^)
I bet subs are below 4 million now.
Legion will fix EVERYTHING
:^)
...
It's something like 1.4 total subs now.
Because Blizzard doesn't have to.
Blizzdrones will happilly fork over the cash to their masters despite not receiving any content in return.
They recently updated all servers, so the med/high servers are now low/med. The most populated will always be high, though.
(The game is still dead)
