Ugh, I forgot how awful the MCU boosting was in the last game. I know that MAHVEL 2 gets shit on for being mostly X-Men characters but fuck, I didn't give a shit about Hawkeye before or after Marvel 3. No one from GotG (except Thannos and Rocket I guess) would make interesting fighting game characters and I literally couldn't give less of a shit about Hawk or any of the bargain basement avengers from Civil War. D-List heroes in the comics are at least interesting.

There was a rumor that Microsoft was fishing for the comic rights for original games like the EA/Star Wars deal a while back (Which would let them make games like MAU and MvC3 where they can use comic characters) while Sony were interested in doing MCU related games based on the films. Disney's smart enough to say "None of you are getting full 1st party exclusive rights" though.
Of course, it could be worse. It could be Ubisoft.

Disney Infinity was never really my thing. But I recently watch hours of Toy Box Tuesday when I sick with a fever.
And I have to say that I am surprised at how fun it actually looked. I am still not into the whole collectible figure thing that's required. But it legitimately looked like a genuine game. I haven't tried it for myself, but it almost looked like it could be an actually fun game. Provided you aren't limited by a lack of figures of course that is.
Kind of sad to hear that it's cancelled since I had just kind of started to respect it.
