What did you put your Praxis Kits into?
What did you put your Praxis Kits into?
big mechanical cock
sold them for coke
Mostly hacking and the arm augs.
I don't remember, I haven't played this game in years. Maybe I'll replay it if Manking Divided doesn't turn out to be a flop. I have a feeling it will be.
i put everything into being quiet and going fast
then you go invisible and sprint through entire sections
i skipped a lot of the game first playthrough..
See-through-walls aug+laser weapon was hilariously broken but you couldn't get that combo going until pretty late in the game
Nigga, why'd you put so many points into all the hacking trees? You only need the one's that let you get into higher computer, and lower detection. Why waste Praxis on being able to see what's inside a node?
everything
I liked Dishonored's upgrade tree better.
This is the problem with modern 'rpgs'
>Newgame+
I prioritized the metroidvania type abilities that would open up parts of levels. Every other ability was secondary. I didn't put any points into the social augments because it would ruin one of the better parts of the game.
>he never played the game
Does anyone have rare praxis?
Because of their disproportionate balancing of stealth, you could literally buy every augment and have extra Praxis points.
my first run was all brute force.
Then when I played it again I went for stealth. Now if I play it again, it'll probably be mobility only since none of the upgrades on either side help as much as the mobility options.
I did a stealth non-lethal run my first time and it was fun
then i never played it again
It feels like that kind of game, ironically, I've played Syndicate a lot. And it's literally linear.
that's not true and you fucking know it.
It is most certainly possible to get every skill by the end of the game. I can't say whether there's extra points or kits to spare, since it's been a while since I touched the game, but you get far more experience going stealth and non-lethal. Hacking, persuading, and exploring every nook and cranny will get you enough XP to buy everything even without Missing Link.
Swimming and environment training
Icarus landing system is the best perk in the whole game
not even because its useful, it just has a cool animation
Halfway through the game you run out of stuff to put that xp into, because all the useful things have already been unlocked and all that's left is the trash.
really?
i played the shit out of HR
Do you mean like lore wise?
Think on disc DLC. The company line is implants need to be fully integrated with your nervous system before they turn them on to stop you accidentally activating the typhoon when taking a slash. The kits are some highly developed wet ware that tricks your body into accepting in them faster.
What's useful and not depends on your play style.
Not the guy you're replying to, but I've played HR many times. I know it inside and out.
It's only barely possible to get every aug in a single playthrough, and usually if you do you'll get them very late in the game. The vast majority of people won't be able to do this.
tldr the game is balanced fine
>Max out inventory size
>Quietly knock out every NPC with a fire arm
>Sell every gun
There was never really any cool shit to praxis into. While the hub system was a nice return, there weren't enough situations where you could use a variety of praxis and needing deep upgrades to it. Being able to jump higher, move heavy objects, hack level 5 computers, do 2 for 1 takedowns etc were the only things you ABSOLUTELY NEEDED. High need was the stealth upgrades, but that was only so you didn't have to micro through your stock of viruses etc. The extra battery charge was also a quality of life improvement.
Ah fuck you, I'm jacking this thread.
What did yall put your upgrade canisters into?
MY LEGS AND THE HEART ONE THAT MAKES MY LEGS EVEN STRONGER
I DID max out legs first, gotta go fast.
The mobility in Deus Ex seems to be the only thing that really matters.
PRAXIS?
Early priorities are hacking, all augments that open up new areas (heavy lifting, high jump, punch through walls, Icarus landing system), and inventory space.
shifter makes every melee weapon a deadling throwing weapon and it's the goodness gracious when combined with maximum speed and bursting nanobot arms
Melee strength, because I'm an idiot.
Anyone played invisible war while we are at it?
Pragmatism
I regret not putting them into the Typhoon.
Dude Sex: Homo Revolution's boss fights are utter cancer. Utter.
Battery so I could punch people more.
Honestly arm strength loses it's utility after a while too, and I have but you probably shouldn't have reminded the thread that it exists, I booted it up recently and I can see all the bad design choices staring me in the face.
I'm also baffled at how they managed to make the main characters model look less poly than every elses, their eyes appear to be textured onto their face while everyone else has them modeled.
Hacking levels first because I can't stand not being able to open doors and crates.
They should bring back multitools, lockpicks, and blowing shit open with explosives.
Next I think arms and legs because I wanted to be able to access all the areas you need that to get to.
I beat every boss with just the stun gun and didn't die once.
Arms, healing, cloak, and battery.
Healing and cloak make the game cake
Me too.
But this is about wanting the Typhoon.
I picked up battery, as you can see in the screenie, but i wound up not using it terribly much, is it actually worth it to mitigate cloaks horrendous power drain?
hacking, stealth, super jump and ballistic protection
Typhoon is cool but it's hardly necessary for the boss fights
>balanced fine
If you play the game like a modern day faggot and don't do stealth, don't do hacking, don't do persuasion, and don't explore, you are most certainly going to not get near getting every augment. The team themselves confirmed this when discussing the sequel. To begin with, melee takedowns get double the experience over ranged (20xp vs. 10xp), same for non-lethal vs. lethal. If you don't get Ghost or Smooth Operator, you don't get 500 or 250 XP from either respectively. If you don't succeed persuasions, you lose out on 900 XP.
The devs themselves said that they didn't do a good job balancing the two (or more) types of playstyles, which is why they tried to be a bit more encompassing with experience points in Mankind Divided.
It's true. I've done it. Several times.
just about everything except the see through walls shit, the radar shit, and auto aim shit.
The typhoon is pretty much useless other then blown up crowds of civilians for shits and giggles. Which in all honesty is probably what it was designed to do in universe.
> I could see a school teacher loving having one of those
>wake me up inside implant
>the guy who thinks playing non lethally is an achievement
Doesn't matter, there's enough to get everything you need. You don't need to specialize in this game.
