Hey guys, having fun looking for me?

Hey guys, having fun looking for me?

Thank god i don't need you anymore.
I had more fun cucking other Dorkmoon faggots out of their ears.

I already farmed mine.

Nope. Spent 3 hours waiting for summons at SL 50 with a +6 weapon.

Never again.

Though now I've got the covenant items.

I stopped trying. Can't get summoned at all, and farming them otherwise sounds horribly boring, unless they up the drop rate.

I just used a cheat engine.... am i fucked

How the hell do I even get summoned as a blue sentinel? I've just been slowly cruising through a new character without ever taking the covenant off, I'm always embered, but after like 5 hours of gameplay I haven't been summoned once. What the FUCK

I'm halfway done.

>169 hours
>have never been summoned once as a blueberry
just tried farming the knights in anor londo a bit, 309 item discovery without a coin popped, got a total of 3 ears in like 40 minutes
i just want darkmoon blade

idk how you guys are soo unlucky i got summoned as dorkmoon all the time

>got summoned left and right at low level
>stopped being summoned after hitting level 25-30

So it seems the only reliable way to do this is in the early game. Fuck that.

The system is so fucking broken.
Like 10% of the playerbase gets summons every 10-20 minutes, while the rest never get any or have to wait hours.

Get comfy, turn on some tunes, and get a nice 1 hit riposte weapon. That's how I did it to farm for 28 ears.

it took me ~15 hours

Luckily no. Finished grinding out this broken system.

i'm lvl 70 with a +8 right now so i doubt i'll be able to get any decent activity

>wear 310 item discovery
>pop gold coins for 410 item discovery
>literally done with 30 in under 2 hours without ever going online

Whoo that was hard.

crystal sage rapier + crystal sage rapier
covetous gold serpent ring + covetous gold serpent ring +1

temporary re-spec to boost luck

congrats you are now +500 item discovery with a gold coin, enjoy getting one every 3rd bonfire reset at anor londo

Nope, cause I went back to I and BB. Vastly superior games to that of III

i'm SL 100 and get summoned at least twice an hour

Well, cheat engine exists, so no?

I'm debating starting a new character just to try to be summoned but I feel like it won't matter.

>Kill an aldrich fag
>get the double ears

Feels good man

After an entire month
>Darkmoon and forest covenants are completely broken.
>Almost all invasions are gank squads.
>There's still no reason to use anything but a straight sword.
>All straight swords have the same move set so there's no variety between builds.
>Magic isn't viable in pvp or pve.
>Trading hits is almost guaranteed when you you try to punish a move due to the shitty network. There's never a reason for a host not to just swing after making a mistake, he has twice the healing items so trading is always beneficial.
>Armor does nothing.
I know DS2 didn't have pvp but this is still worse. Pvp was a huge waste of my time and considering it's the only reason I stopped using a pirated version I can safely say it was a waste of money as well.
DS3 has the worst pvp hands down.

Thank God I only need the ring and it's on a Luck build.

>covetous gold serpent ring + covetous gold serpent ring +1
You can't wear both at the same time.
Also, if you respect for luck you won't be dealing much damage with those rapiers.

i dont get any darkmoon summons and my weapon upgrade is +10 did i fuck it up? i'm lvl 101

I got all I needed last night.

Yeah, you probably are. They do bans in waves, and are really fucking retarded about how they do it, they throw the net wide and catch any fucking instance of cheating. Hence someone who cheat engines an extra titanite slab or some shit will get hit with the same ban as someone who cheat engines their character to be invulnerable 99 in all stats griefing pvpers.

>have way of the blue active all the time
>get invaded all the time
>90% of the time i kill the invader before a dork moon/blue sentinel even shows up

I don't get it, i'm even trying to stall so that a blue can get in and get his ears but most of the time they never appear, or if they do it takes a million years.

I've already done it, luckily I got summoned into a guy who kept on drawing out new invaders before killing the previous one

Opposite here, never got a single summon in 120 hours of gameplay but if I'm wearing way of blue and someone invades a blue shows up in 2-3 minutes at best, likewise if I'm invading and the host seems to have it equipped.

I want to trade these forked tongues for proofs of concords so fucking bad.

>tfw already have the darkmoon blade
>have 46 sitting in my inventory right now

I actually tried to drop a random 10 of them the other day cause I saw him pop a luck coin as we got to anor londo but for some reason he wouldn't pick them up.

you can't trade covenant items

Does anybody else have problems invading at SL1? I enjoyed messing with people on SL1 in DS1, like not neseccarily ganking but confusing them, giving presents, and getting good at parrys. But the only time an invasion worked in DS3 I invated a cheater, luckily it was before people found out the softban thing.

Are you sure? Cause you can drop them on the ground. Do they just not show up for the host?

yes they won't show up

Do silver knights bleed? If they do 99 luck with barbed sword and carthus rouge should kill em pretty quick

From are so fucking dumb, the Way of the Blue and the Darkmoon should just be one merged covenant, if you're invaded you get a darkmoon partner, if you're not invaded you get summoned.

Splitting it up like this is just stupid, how can they be this clueless about covenants after doing this 3 times?

>sit at pontiff fight club with dried fingers and way of the blue on because I wanna help blueberries
>red invaders almost always know what's going on and wait their turn
>purples are usually ok, but a few try to attack me or jump in and get ganked
>every single fucking aldrich faggot that shows up jumps in like a retard and gets gangbanged immediately
>same faggot comes back multiple times and never learns his lesson
It's actually kinda fun to do this and is a really easy way to get souls to buy more titanite, but those fuck those aldrich guys

I usually get them in like 30-45 seconds. Probably because I'm in a really popular area though I guess

Am I the only one who didn't have any trouble with ears? I kept sentinels on since I got it and had 30 not long after meeting Yorshka.

Bullshit. Even at 410 you're getting ears 4% of the time. That's 750 Knights. Optimal route has you kill the two Knights not the slower three. That's 375 trips up and down the stairs. Half an hour would be 13 trips per minute. Or a trip every 4.8 seconds without rest all while popping a finite number of gold coins.

Even with the two you find each game, it can't be done.

Don't bother farming the ears til NG+2 so you have the covetous gold ring +2. With like ~366 item discovery I got all 24 needed while listening to a few podcasts and watching maybe half a season of the Simpsons. It wasn't terrible.

Feels good to be part of the 0.9% with The Dark Soul.

I had a stack of 99 at one point. It isn't nearly as bad as you think, especially if you find a host determined to fight invaders.

What confuses me more than anything is the Sentinel/Blade split. What's the point?

>It isn't nearly as bad as you think
120 hours played total
0 summons as a blue phantom
Right now I've been in the archives for 2:04 hours waiting for a summon.

>legion etiquette

That sounds like the right way to handle things to me. Assmad cheatercuck detected.

>it w-w-was just one t-titanite s-s-slab!

get fucked

Completely unrelated, but is anyone having problems with a partial party sapping like 200 stamina? I've died about six times tonight due to partially missed parries taking off my entire stamina bar

Because muh DaS1 references

>191 hours
>never been summoned as a blue

Got the dark soul about an hour ago. I don't think I'll play it again until both dlcs are out.

Seriously? I can't go ten to twenty minutes without at least one attempted summon. I'm at SL 120 NG+2

How do I make a paladin build work, I hear fth sucks
I just want to chuck sunlight spears with abandon again like in 2, and lightning stake sounds super

SL80 NG+1
I can invade just fine and get blues against me just fine.
Blues can join my sessions when embered just fine.
I can never get summoned as a blue.
A lot of people seem to suffer from this

Are you using the caestus? Partial parries utilize stability, fist weapons have 0 stability.
Apparently MASSIVE faith stacks are needed to get real damage. Like, ~level 60 with either the yorshka chime or saints talisman

>remove Way of the Blue covenant
>give players an item of call for help
>add sin back in
>add Blue Eye Orb back in too

There I fixed your stupid covenant

You can't fool me, I already finished farming you!

>cheat engines an extra titanite slab

How can they even detect shit like that?
Can they tell if you cheated a single titanite shard too?

Not to mention you get 2 of them every playthrough. So by the time you get to NG++ you only have to farm 24 instead of 28 if you do it on NG. If you're going for full achievements anyways (or just getting all +2 rings for whatever reason) this will save you some time for sure.

>Put on Darkmoon sign at sl 100 +9 and wait for summon
>Nothing after an hour
>decide to farm the knights while I wait
>Still no summon after another hour but I got like 3 proofs this might not be so bad
>Another hour goes by with no summons and no more proofs
>And another
>And another
>Proofs feel like their getting sparser and sparser
>Its been six hours and I'm at 9 proofs and no summons
>There are two proofs to be found per NG cycle

So I said fuck it and ended up on NG+9.

But it was probably faster than grinding the fucking silver knights.

In my experience you don't have to be in an area to get summoned to that area. I've gotten summoned to places like the swamp or dragons aerie in places like lothric castle.

>extra titanite slab

Why would you need an extra one? Is not like you can reinforce armor anymore and I don't thing you will use more than three or four different maxed weapons.
I mean I got 4 slabs without even trying, and I'm sure there is much more than that.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's running off some retarded peer database that sorts all entries by alphabetic order then prioritizes from the top, so everyone with keys beginning with 'aaaa' is getting constantly summoned while 'aaab' and below might as well go play in the stomach acid with Gwyndolin.

I'm at 59 doing AF invasions for the first time, and it's super active. How high can I level before a major dropoff?

It does happen with fist weapons, but I've also had it happen once or twice with a target shield

Took me 5 hours to farm 30 with 400 item discovery fighting 2 silver knights at Anor Londo bonfire. A few episodes of X-Files and the deed was done.

It's like you guys don't respect the company captain.

Nice toaster faggot

I was lvl 45 when I did all my AF invasions. You probably are safe till level 70 but I wouldn't risk it.

I finished in a single day. Started farming for them wearing gold serpent ring, symbol of avarice, and crushing a coin every time I go kill the two silver knights in Anor Londor's first stairs while being summoned every so often. Whenever I'm being summoned, I run to the bonfire, switch my helm and managed to only lost at an invasion once.

Er, dragon place city place. I've forgotten the name completely.

I was level 140 and getting constant invasions on ps4.

Very low stability shields get wrecked by failing to parry larger weapons.

havent started a new game and I already got all the covenant items. where the fuck were you guys a week ago

Do you know if summoned hostiles count for ears?

Is there a better way to arrange blue invasions? Like a passworded host just hides away near the Pontiff bonfire with WotB on?

I wore the Blue Sentinel badge for an entire NG and NG+ and have been summoned one time. A single time.

>chill at the road of sacrifices would Way of Blue and dried finger active
The blues are pretty shit tbqh, they lose more often than they win. And often another invader comes in for the reverse gank.

Am I the only person who's glad they added back those little things on the ends of the claymore's hand-guard?

I don't know why they didn't just bring back Blue Eye Orb for Darkmoons. There's clearly a sin system in place since Proof of a Concord Well Kept exists, doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to implement.

I'm trying out a dex/luck character and would really prefer not to have to look like shit and have to use a ring slot to hide the hollowing. Is it even that big of a deal to go 30 luck and hollow weapon boost, or would 35 dex 40 luck with the hunter ring be just fine? Checked on mugenmonkey, and I can hit almost 50 vigor, 40 end, and all the other shit I need at 120 without issue.

I feel like it'd be pretty easy if you get sent to a gank squad.

>Don't get sent home until all the invaders are dead
>Host keeps using dried fingers for a constant stream of invaders
>Just try to avoid killing the last invader until the next one shows up

Now the trouble is getting summoned. At all. Even once.

Never noticed because they removed the sheathe on every weapon in DaS2, so I thought what's the point of the claymore then.

The embossed quillions?

How do I beat this thing? I'm at like 10th+ try and I just fucking can't. Playing melee character btw.

>2 in every ng
>even as a bad speed runner you can finish the game in ~2hrs
>get an op build
>do ng+15
>done
2 of every covenant item btw

R1 spam and roll. Sprint away if he uses the arrows especially when he starts emitting fire.

Run up to him and hit him with your weapon, and then when he attacks you with his arrows, don't stand in them.

fucking run when he gets the bow out, stay behind him when possible, dodge spells and hide behind pillars

Then you may be one of the lucky ones it's seems you either get constant summons or they're ultra rare

you're joking right? Hes one of the easiest bosses in the game, and I was using the great machete when i beat him

fire, lightning & vow of silence

At what level do invasions and co-op's start to slow down? i'm at level 148 now.

focus on hitting its tail

stay as close to it as you can, after it teleports just run to it immediately since that's what causes it to use melee moves which are easy to dodge and punish

first phase arrows go in a straight line towards where you're standing when he fires the bow so roll to the left or right of them immediately after they start and you're good to go for some hits

second phase arrows follow you no matter what so keep your stamina up and just keep running directly away from them until they stop

Well what do you expect? They never get summoned, so they never have a chance to practice fighting.

w-w-w-hy is Aldrich looking like Gwyndalin?

He fucking ate him. Read your items.

>one of the easiest bosses in the game
>has a homing spell that lasts literally 15 seconds, is faster than you are, and can can take away your entire life bar in one good second
>plus it's spammed every 30 seconds
>plus he casts other spells at the same time

yeah, nah
maybe without the arrows he'd be one of the easiest, but that arrow spell is FUCKING BULLSHIT
first boss in the game that took more than 5 tries

>He joined DarkMoon

Superior Finger Masterrace you fucks

Kiss Rosaria's slug's ass

They don't call him the Eater of Gods for nothing.

Few people go above 120~ish if they want online action,
