So since this is out on Steam now, what are the chances of this shit getting modded so these bitchin' battle systems get some use in cool fan games?

Out where?
10 hours for me
Doesn't look all that good, no good toolset and I'm not sure if there is enough interest.
Is there a difference between PC/Vita/PS4
Therr is one huge question i have though. Will there be nude mods?
...
ANY DRM@?!?!!!??!?!
>locked at 30fps
No thanks
...
probably
Usually I'd agree, but it's a turn based game. I'm just gonna sit back and relax while playing it.
>You lived long enough to possibly see Lulu nude mods
>MoonPies.jpg
this even menus feel better at 60
>muh turn based doesnt matter
also x is shit, can't say too much about x 2 but i've heard good things about the class system
This game takes forever and a day to actually get started, it's so fucking slow and obnoxious.
You get about 3 battles before each new cutscene for so many hours.
Tidus fucking sucks, hes probably the worst mc of any ff.
I don't know how this is so many people favorite one, its insane to me.
Probably their first one i guess...
It's funny because it would be everyone's favorite if Auron was the main character.
>what are the chances of this shit getting modded so these bitchin' battle systems get some use in cool fan games?
Pretty much none at all. Despite it being released on PC, how many games have you seen making use of Valkyria Chronicles system?
PC gets dual voice.
>Tidus fucking sucks, hes probably the worst mc of any ff.
Lightning is worse. I'll take an autistic clown over a moody 2x4 any day.
Price? I need to know if I have to pirate that shit or not.
Judging from previous FF port prices I'd say 30-40 dollarydoos since its a 2 for 1 deal.
When they run out of FF games, I wonder if they'll release the DQ games on Steam
Why do I delude myself?
30
It'll probable be on sale though. If not just get it from gmg with a 20% off code or pirate it.
Maybe just fix the levelup system.
Yeah, fix the best level up system of all time.
>best
>a convoluted straight line for 30 hours followed by a bit of options
Compared to no options in every other Final Fantasy.
The Remaster lets you use the Expert Grid right from the start, leaving things a lot more open from the start.
you do have options in GOOD ff games
thats actually good
In Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy XII you have a pretty great amount of options as far as customizability is concerned. Not stat wise, but ability wise for sure.
or the literally retarded double open grid system in FFXII that required endless grinding and forced all your characters to become plate wearing, ultima spamming white mages to beat the game
Poor Amerifats. Expert grid has always been the best grid.
It's fucking shit.
Liar, there's 7 hours left
>what are the chances of this shit getting modded so these bitchin' battle systems get some use in cool fan games?
Zero.
All you'd get would be VIII and mobile ports.
>people literally hating on the variable encouter rate booster
Are they literally retarded?
>boost encounter rate in good spots
>level up in no time
>reduce it or turn it off completely after, to just breeze through the story for a bit
This is 100% what people always dreamed about.
...
>hes probably the worst mc of any ff.
kek. He's literally the only one that got actually attention by the writers. Every other protag, but Tidus (and maybe Lightning) were one dimensional morons, which could've easily been silent protagonists. Nothing would've changed.
>Tidus
>Worst
>Pretty much has the most character and character development of all FF protags
wew
And that's why it was the best. It simply worked. Why make it more convoluted so people could min/max harder? That's only fanwank nobody really needs or wants.
You will be playing as Seymour throughout the entire game in no time. Rest assured.
I'd rather model swap Tidus and Yuna for Jecht and Braska so I can stick them with Auron and pretend I'm playing the prequel game I always wanted.
You think you want it but you actually don't.
Is this worth the $20 console price, or should I just emulate these? Never played either game before and am interested
Why not just pirate this version if you're opposed to paying money for it?
Already played it on the PS4
It's the 5th rerelease and you think they would have fixed the god awful minigames in the game but no
Chocobo Racing is still in
>it's ok when Gooks can't program for shit
Granted 30fps is miles better than the 15fps you get in all the 3d FF games prior
What does color correction do?
You could do that too in the original PS2 game. What are you on about?
Wait, was that for us yuropoors only?
Im wondering if the ps3 remaster has anything special for it, im not master race enough to run current games but I can emulate ps2 games.
Emulation is more demanding than running native games. Remaster uses high poly cutscene models everywhere, has retouched textures here and there, an option between the original and a remixed soundtrack, proper widescreen support, and the previously jap-only X-2 International + Last Mission content. Also emulation has a bunch of small quirks such as controls being inverted on certain areas, UI misalignment glitches everywhere when upscaling, problems detecting analog stick diagonal movement unless you're using a PS2 controller (really messes up Lulu's overdrive), characters facing the wrong way on certain fights, etc.
>Auto save
>Can increase the speed of battles
>Can turn off random battles
It's like the "Bravely Default" version of FFX.
How about modding in the original character models first
>zidane
>"one dimensional moron"
You only playerd VII and VIII, right?
>Can increase the speed of battles
The speed of the battles was never an issue (except for the bonus bosses that just boiled down to using Quick Hit for 40 minutes because they're literally just damage sponges with nothing interesting about them). It's the fucking endless unskippable cutscenes every 10 minutes that makes the game such a chore to slog through.
where does everyone go these days for their cracks and whatnot? ive seen bitgamer die/change 5 times in the past 2 years so it seems super sketchy
WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU?
Other M gave Samus the most character development of any Metroid. That didn't mean it was fucking good.
Maybe gives the vibrance the ps4 version has, guess if you turn it off it has the ps2 lighting
>Characters, monsters, and environments have been fine-tuned to HD detail, providing a richer, deeper FINAL FANTASY visual experience.
lel
>Other features in the PC version include remastered/rearranged BGM,
youtube.com
>International Edition content,
The original PS2 NTSC/U and PAL edition already contained the Internation al Edition Content. Only the original NTSC/J edition lacked content, which was provided in the rerelease of FFX International Edition, so this is bullshit to anyone outside of Japan.
>Auto-save and 5 game boosters including high speed and no encounter modes.
>let's turn our RPG into a walking simulator, that will attract the PC crowd
That's just shit character & character development then.
Tidus was thrown out of "his" world to another world and he had to deal with it. He stays strong and tries to keep the party happy and even after learning he is nothing but a dream he still keeps strong.
This is all despite the fact that Jecht calls him a crybaby.
How long until someone mods it so the High quality character models with animated faces are used at all times in gameplay.
FFX has a weird problem of doing things like having a scene where Wakka is fully animated and Tidus is using his Overworld model or something shitty like that.
>lel
What a convincing argument.
>youtube.com
What about it?
Also, International was never in US, only Japan/EU or at least I can't find anything to prove that it was. X-2 International was never released outside JP.
>let's turn our RPG into a walking simulator, that will attract the PC crowd
You don't fucking have to use them, idiot. Cheats existed for a long time, did they turn every single game into a walking simulator?
Remastered battle theme is way better though. Original feels dead
>posting WIP models that aren't actually in the game
>posting optional bonus music that can be turned off
>Not realizing that only Europe and Japan had the "international" version. Its new for the USA
>trying to complaing about optional bonuses
You have absolutely no points. Zero. None.
There must be some reason they didn't already do that with the HD release. I'd guess the models and animations aren't compatible or something like that.
God the in game models/non-pre rendered cutscene models look so shit in the HD.
It's an early PS2 game.
No there's no reason, it's just an oversight.
It was like that originally because they were saving memory on the PS2 and when they decided to re-release FFX, they just simply didn't bother to look at things like that, they just replaced the models individually by type and cutscene just loads them like always.
>Jecht and Braska making out in the water.
I know pre-rendered cutscenes would be uneffected but it's funny to picture anyway.
>it's just the WIP model
>new rearranged fully orchestrated music that is touted as a great new feature is worse than a hackjob's midi arrangment
>actually defending boosters
>The original PS2 NTSC/U and PAL edition already contained the Internation al Edition Content. Only the original NTSC/J edition lacked content, which was provided in the rerelease of FFX International Edition, so this is bullshit to anyone outside of Japan.
For FFX
not for X-2
I wonder how much work it'd be to replace the English Audio with Japanese, I'd like to play through FFX again but I can do without the dub this time.
Someone pls... PLEASE!! Mod the old head models back in the game.
depends on how it's compiled I guess
That would be something interesting to experience
Go emulate it instead then.
you could just emulate
I assume Japan steam got FFX too, so I wonder if it could be as simple as a File swap, but then again being a Japanese game originally made for PS2, the file structure is probably pretty shitty, someone will likely have made an extractor/file replacer pretty soon.
I think it's already an option.
Now we just need Atlus to put P3 FES and P4G on Steam with Japanese audio options and I'll be set for my Japanese bullshit for good long while.
They said on the stream that it only has english audio. The language option is false.
Tidus is the only arguably worse model, mainly because of black eyelines.
>new rearranged fully orchestrated music that is touted as a great new feature is worse than a hackjob's midi arrangment
Nice meme senpai
>actually defending boosters
Let me repeat: You don't fucking have to use them, idiot. Cheats existed for a long time, did they turn every single game into a walking simulator?
Is the FF X-2 in this the last mission one with additional dresspheres and shit?
>Wanting the worse audio
RIP
No.
>skipping battles cheat
Yes, this would literally turn FFX into a walking simulator.
>cheats
>every being advertised as selling points of games
It's the international version of FFX, so I'd assume it's the same for X-2.
I actually don't mind the Boosters, I wish they ones they chose were thought out a little better.
FF8's should have been something like All Successful Draws give you 100 magic, rather than just giving you a bunch of magic off the bat.
Because then you still have to play and engage with the mechanic and find magic, it just won't be so painful in the long run.
Automatic Break Damage Limit in every weapon
I wish boosters disabled achievements.
Not that I care about achievements, but now it feels like it doesn't matter if I cheat or not.
One of FFX's boosters should be that the spheres already on the sphere grid are set to the their maximum versions, like STR+4 etc.
I can get behind stuff like that, because again you still have to play the game, it's just leveling up has a much more immediate effect and matters less if you go down the wrong path.
This. Everyone calls Tidus a whiny pussy but even when he was thrown into some fucked up alternative universe in the middle of the deep sea with horrible creatures he barely even whined. He always had a strong mind and kept a very interesting narrative going on showing finally character instead of emo JRPG faggotry. Also it was a great idea to make the main character a super star in some fictional sport. Really original.
Fairly certain that the boosters that give infinite gil and all skills disable achievements. It was mentioned that turning those on would be permanent for the save.
And despite all that, his character arc was muh daddy issues.
It's amazing what nostalgia does to how you perceive a game. Does FFX have a few issues? Sure. Does it stop me from viewing it as this great comfy adventure? Not at all.
JRPGs generally have a great comfy adventure. It's one of the biggest appeals of the genre. Do you think people would sit through the gameplay of Xenoblade or Ni No Kuni if those games were set in some generic WRPG setting?
Which he overcame. He didn't even whine when he was about to disappear. He just high fived his father.
Xenoblade is set in a generic JRPG setting, which isn't any better.
Ni No Kuni is maximum comfy though, and its gameplay wasn't bad at all.
>Lightning Dancer
>Dodge 200 lightning strikes and obtain the reward
>Which he overcame.
This is the least you can expect from a story arc about daddy issues. It happened at the end of the game as well, so until then, every time he mentions his dad, he whines about him.
