Sorry, rather I meant that M&S are the only characters that get into every event, while other characters get a few scattered events and the unlockable guest ones (going off of the 3DS version here, so if it doesn't apply to the Wii U ones, forgive me) are locked to the event you defeat them in story mode to unlock them.

So, does this game even have online multiplayer? Because it would be pretty stupid not too what with all those multiplayer events in that video.
3DS version lets you upload personal records, trade info with Streetpass, and get random players worldwide to serve as 'rivals' to outrun in Pocket Marathon. Multiplayer is local play only, and a right bitch to wait on Download Play if there's only one copy between you.

They actually aren't that terrible. I decided to pick up some of the older ones for cheap after hearing some of the remixes and while some minigames are pretty crap, some of them are also pretty fun. Not a full-price purchase or anything, but a fun bit of fluff and better than Mario Party has been for the last decade.
These are actually the best models to come about of the girls yet. And they look pretty nifty too.
