I think it's alright, it fits in the way that it looks like it'll be a pretty generic action flick. It'll probably be a decent enough movie, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was reverse what the games are, that turned out that the modern day stuff was more interesting than the past stuff. Either way, will probably watch it at some point. A shame it wasn't made based off 2 and was about some Ezio character and such, more drama(including Cristina you have those missions about in B) instead of so much action.

The beginning is 3's theme, then it changes to Revelations theme. They both had a pretty good OSTs, games weren't all that though, which was a shame.

What? Wasn't it "second-hand" in the game, Desmond in 2 being taught at the same time with Ezio. If it was the subject doing the things then he would have learnt all that from 2 in 1 with Altair, but he didn't. In the games, it's like watching a recording. I don't know from the trailer how it's going to be in the movie. They didn't show anything but action for the ancestor, so we don't know if Fassie will be acting differently or even talking differently.

No, in the game you are controlling the memory, and if you do things that don't sync up with the memory (like killing innocents) you lose sync.

They specifically mention how the Animus is set up to control like a video game.

In the games there's this thing called the "Bleeding" effect. If you stay in the animus for too long your memory starts getting taken over by the ancestor's family, it turns people crazy because they start going through their ancestor's families while outside the animus.

In the games Desmond would also learn the skills of his ancestors, even though he was laying down. I actually like what they've done in this movie cause it looks like this version of the animus actually lets you move. So if Fassbender is going through a memory if his ancestor running you'd see him running in the present time too.

I swear to god though if they pull a "you die in the animus you die in real life" bullshit I will kill a bitch.

I don't understand the movie because they show that machine and Fassbender practicing without a shirt on shooting arrows. Does that mean when he's in the animus he's limited by his own present skills and physical form etc.? That would be extremely limiting.

Not sure how they're going to do it in the movie, but in Assassin's Creed 2 that was kinda part of the plot.

They sent Desmond into the memory of Ezio before he started training to become an Assassin. Ezio's memories of training bled through to Desmond, which caused him to become a better Assassin.

He started seeing through Eagle vision at the end of AC1, so the bleeding had begun there.

It's likely that Vidic kept him in the machine for just long enough that too much bleeding didn't occur.

The bleeding effect occurs after prolonged exposure to the animus. In the first game Desmond gains Eagle Vision, but he went through much more of Ezio's memories than Altair's so I'm guessing much more of Ezio bled through.

The Templar's actually try to use the bleeding effect to train their people.
