Hey, Sup Forums, Europoor PS3 player here

I've always wanted to play SMT3: Nocturne and Odin Sphere, and while I'm aware the games are available at the US PlayStation Store, they never made it overseas, which means I wouldn't be able to play them on console, which I find really unfair. However, were I to make an US account to buy them, I'd run into the problem of actually getting a PSN Card to add the funds needed for the games, which seems like a mayor roadblock here

TL;DR How would one go about getting a US PSN Card in Europe? Are there other problems to be taken into account? Like not being able to download the games even if already purchased?

>and while I'm aware the games are available at the US PlayStation Store, they never made it overseas
But Nocturne did.

Also interested in asking how you'd add foreign funds to PSN

Oh my god, I just checked and you're right, it actually is there. I can't believe I never thought of searching for Lucifer's Call.
Damn, that's embarrassing, but also saves me a lot of trouble, so thank you very much

However, Odin Sphere still isn't available, any idea on that?

Wait for the remake.

Odin's Sphere got a PAL release. Actually it's the best version since they fixed the loading.

buy money cards fro their respective regions.

Try websites like Gamergate (where I got my US PSN money)

ONE MORE GOD REJECTED

This, comes out in a month or so

>Lucifer's Call.
you might want to get the US version anyway, the PAL one will be 50hz

The european version lets you choose between NTSC and PAL.
The thing is, there's this certain bug in the european version where the game freezes in the middle of a cutscene at the end of the game, before fighting the final final boss. I've met some other european anons here that have the same problem and never finished the game but nobody ever found out how to fix it or what causes it. You might as well get the US version, that one probably doesn't have any glitches.

You buy it on Amazon online, they send you codes.

I see, I checked and Odin Sphere + Nocturne would cost $20 ($10&$10) together, meanwhile Lucifer's Call would be somewhat cheaper, at 7.99€
Is it better then to get the US version? Or should I just get the European one, wait for the OS remake and avoid the hassle?

Don't they check your address? Amazon says something about the product being available only to US customers

You put in fake adress obviously you retard, just make sure your email is legit.

I definitely advise waiting for the Odin Sphere remake whatever you do. Given that it includes both the original gameplay and the new update, and has updated assets.

But wouldn't they check the address with the bank when it comes to the payment?

What fucking bank? Use a credit card you fucking underage retard. Credit cards don't require address, you can put in any fake shit you want with them as long as the Name, Surname, Number and CVC code are correct.

Okay, gotcha. Sorry for being a retard

...

Nah, he's right. It's embarrassing that at my age I don't know how credit cards work

But anyway, thanks to you all, you've been really helpful

Lucifer's Call supposedly has multiple issues with game freezes at certain points. Like, seriously high rates of freezing at critical points of the game. If you can find a way to get the US version instead, do so.
As for Odin Sphere, the PS4 remake comes out very soon, so if you have one of those, wait for that. The PAL version of Odin Sphere PS2 is far better though, as the US version suffers from massive slowdown.

user. I...

I've read that while the game does have serious issues with freezing, most of them can be worked around by switching party members or fighting only with physicals, so I could always try that, but it's still a gamble

And nope, I don't have a PS4, but the remake is also announced for PS3, so it's still an option. And I suppose it would be the best as well. It's a shame that the PAL version of OS isn't available on the EU PS Store, or at least "Odin Sphere" gives no results

How about you fucking emulate it?

Hm? What's up, user?

My computer is a borderline potato and my internet is even worse, I tried some time ago to download Nocturne, a ROM with a weight of 3GB, and the estimated download time was a week, a whole damn week

Why would getting nocturne digitally on PS3 work better than your CP?

...

That is actually a good question, but somehow the console goes faster, and I can always leave it downloading for a night or two and be confident that it'll get the job done, while my computer would enter sleep mode if I ain't touching it every 10 minutes and ruin the download

>Black Samurai
>sexy beauty
I beg to differ

>Still no timesplitters in psn
>Or silent hill 2 and 3
>Or ace combat
>Or fucking fatal frame 2
They sure dropped the ball with this shit.

>while my computer would enter sleep mode if I ain't touching it every 10 minutes and ruin the download
Why is this even a problem? Change the fucking setting

...

For god's sake go to your power settings.

>Bought Lucifer's Call a week ago

Just use Amazon.

Add a U.S. Address to your profile (I use Google HQ address) and then buy digital ps store cards and get them emailed to you

Been doing this for past few years now. You just need to make a U.S. Account on your PS 3 too

>OP in charge of proving he doesn't know shit about anything

I don't know, I don't really feel confident leaving the computer running for that long if I don't even know if it will be able to run the game well. It would still be a week, while on the PS3 it would probably be half or a whole day at most

Question
If I buy a game in my US account will I show on my EU one too? Cause I want muh trophies

Once it's installed, you can run it no problem while logged to your EU account, so yes. You will need to login to the US account everytime you want to install it again though.

Just end my suffering already

BTW, I'm talking about myself as OP, I don't mean to attack you guys or anything

Yeah, that seems to be the most viable choice for the PS Cards, thanks for the heads up

I don't see why it wouldn't, it would still be on the same system, and different users on the same system can use its content even if they aren't the actual buyers of such as long as that buyer's user isn't deleted
At least it's how I understand it

Just agi his shit up and pray.

I really wish I had more demons who resisted physical attacks. He oneshots most of my demons with wave of death

Yes.

However I don't remember Nocturne having trophies. And I only do this for PS2 games that didn't come to EU so don't know about PS3 game trophies

Play it in NTSC. PAL has so many crashes it's unreal: in cutscenes, using moves, running around; it just breaks. I have the actual PAL Ps2 game and you're pretty much forced to pick the NTSC option which I never encountered a crash once.

I played the entire game in NTSC and never encountered any glitch except for that one. I already played the game on the PS2 back in the day but it sucked I couldn't finish it, oh well.

PS2 Games don't have trophies, unless they are HD Remasters
And Trophies aren't region locked, however, each region's trophies are separate, as if they were different games. Back in the day people used to get Demon's Souls' American, European and Asian releases to have the Platinum thrice, one for each region

I don't know what to say. I got the TDE just fine n my PS2 version. Though I've never done the other endings. I wonder if the digital version has the same bugs.

I also got the TDE ending on my PS2 version but the PSN one just crashes right after Kagutsuchi's fight.
I do not comprehend.
