Any one else hyped for this

Any one else hyped for this

I'm excited as fuck. I love the civil series, though I hope it takes more after civ 5 rather than beyond earth.

looks like crap.

No. They should fix the AI first.

Everyone plays this game solo, so hopefully the AI is up to snuf this time.

Not me, no, but I really like that artwork.

not till the second expansion no

Also Beyond Earth was fucking garbage so maybe never

You would think a company would learn, but sometimes they don't.

Not really. They've already said there's 4 DLC packs. They're lifting ideas from Endless Legend but I don't trust them to actually make them work as well. They say they're using a modified version of one unit per tile but I don't trust them not to fuck it up royally. They made Beyond Earth and after that I cant' see how anyone could have faith in them not shitting the bed. And like the colossal retard I am I'll no doubt buy it day 1 and join the firaxis defence force.

...

no because Sup Forums is awfully cynical

...

>firaxis
they'll rush out the first copy which will be lacking and then release 2 "expansions" and then the game becomes somewhat decent

>pic related

fucking cartoony mobile game.

Kind of yeah, I like that they changed the stacking system so we can no longer have deathballs like in Civ IV, putting a siege unit with a normal soldier is gonna be bretty gud.

Also like how they seem to be going the Endless Legend route with city expansion, it's a nice system.

Still more hyped for Endless Space 2 though.

>funny how kids are going apeshit about the graphics being to childish

Why are underage allowed to play vidya?

>iPhone game

It won't be the same without mr.spock narrating the game.

So I'm pretty doubtful.

Honestly the problem is the textures, not the detail. Like they have rocky cliffs on the oceans, visible grass on grasslands, but they lack good regular textures on the models and tiles.

I think people are just going apeshit because the graphics looks bad. It's meant to be a PC exclusive in 2016, why does it look like it was made for mobile phones?

The scale on that art is fucked

>make boxart like this
>in game visuals are so tonally different you'll wonder if you even bought the right game
Why didn't the people who made the promo art talk to the people who did the in game graphics?

The graphics are fine you autistic babies

I'm pretty interested to see how it will be but the graphics look shite I'm not liking them.

Yeah, the problem is the art style doesn't fit CIV. It's too stylized and colorful; there is a clay/plastic quality to the world that simply doesn't convince. Textures also don't help.

I'm going to miss the art deco and somewhat renaissance feel of the Civ V. It felt really stylish and that the game was trying to convey the theme of the progress of humanity.

I'm probably going to end up buying VI but I'm pretty disappointed with the new cartoony art style. It looks nice but I can't take the game seriously.

I don't normally make a big deal of graphics but, it does look unappealing.
Secondly what about the mechanics? Will culture victory be changed?
Any new civs or units? What about scarenarios?

>I'm going to wait for a bunch patches and updates before even thinking buying this

They say the mechanics introduced in BNW (tourism, archaeologists, works) will be back so we'll probably get BNW's version of cultural victory again.

>No Leonard Nemoy to narrate.
>Looks worse then Civ 3

Err, I think I'll pass on this one.

This game better bring back the FMV sequences for wonders and victory conditions. None of this "u win" victory screen bullshit. It's the least they can do.

It took an expansion pack for Beyond Earth to get anything more than a static title card for the victories. I wouldn't hold your breath.

I think its on purpose to reflect how civilization looks when its played

It's the most beautiful vidya cover I've seen

>firaxis game
Might be worth it around 2018-19

They are fixing the AI.

I play exclusively multiplayer.

I only played Civ 4, it got the the point helicopters were fighting guys with swords and it kinda looked dumb to me

>I'm going to miss the art deco and somewhat renaissance feel of the Civ V
this 100% from the moment they revealed civ5 artstyle I loved it, art-deco fits the kinda game that civ is

Maybe that's the catch, they're going to release it for mobile platforms later

...

I'm not too interested. The only new feature that really interests me is the ability to add support unites to armies.

I'll probably wait for it to go on sale with some expansions in the mix.

>Expand your empire further with the Civilization VI Digital Deluxe which includes the full base game, the 25th Anniversary Digital Soundtrack, and access to four post-launch DLC packs* that will add new maps, scenarios, civilizations and leaders for a bundled discount.

>*Save vs buying DLC packs a la carte. Individual DLC may be sold separately. If you purchase the Digital Deluxe, do not also purchase these standalone packs, as you will be charged for them.

I would like to point out that all the rage over this game on Steam forums is purely about the graphics, with no mention of this.

>Beyond Earth was garbage
>Rising Tides was garbage
>Xcom 2 was garbage
I cannot wait.

It has simply become accepted as inevitable.

It's like how Red Alert 3 butchered the precedent set by Red Alert 2 by giving everybody clown noses and going wink wink nudge nudge every 2 seconds.

Civ V already had that shit and no one bat an eye about it.
