You don't.
They're bugged too.
>They're bugged too.
Aw jeez, how bad is it?
>6.3 was accurate
>0-52 energy
bombarding their planets down to 0 does nothing, and the queen mission is broken
it seems like at a certain point they just stop attacking and circlejerk too, but i can't confirm that
>anime
Can confirm that, can't invade planet and queen quest is broken, points me towards the centre of my universe.
>1 planet
>0 energy
nigga what
How the fuck do i get more of these purple niggers? I have two ships and planets without leaders because of this.
>6/5 planets
Will purging fix this?
I don't even know why this ressource exists
Its only purpose is to forbid you to have fun and make big empires
That's why I always pick military fanatic and rival everyone, so I get plenty of +'s
The single fleet of 37k power and 272 ships not being in orbit might have something to do with it.
Just make a new sector.
Is this bad?
So question on fleets. Is it better to have one massive one or a bunch of smaller ones that can be spread out more? Also is there any downside to having nothing but battleships or should you have a balance of smaller and bigger ships?
Cybrax or whatever that precursor robot name was quest line is broken too? I found their home, scanned anomaly for 2000 energy and 500 into research and that's it. Quest just hangs in there.

Johan loves his mjana.
Because of that influence bs pacifist is even more useless
I ended up using console commands because of this shit
What is the point of vassaling someone instead of just allying? I don't see them paying me anything and they're gonna stab me in the back at their convenience.
Have one massive fleet for most of the game. Only until mid game does having two fleets make sense. One to fight wars, the other to deal with neutrals harassing your science ships.
you spam planets too fast, they slow down research, just build frontiers if you need additional terrain
It's a fallen empire, just don't go near them if they are fanatic xenophobes and they won't fuck with you.
How is this accomplished? I've fucked up so many things on my first save, sectors sound important
>trade insults with space slug neighbors for hundreds of years
>stuck in an arms race with them being "equivalent" strength the whole time
>they're finally at pathetic strength
>about to declare war when I realize that they're part of the only alliance in the galaxy and it's 8 empires strong
I guess it's back to watching timers run.
So in a previous thread some user told me when you remove frontier outposts from the middle of your empire, you don't lose the borders they generate. Which makes sense, they are border outposts, here to mark the limits of your empire.
Well I got fucked
How am I supposed to know how borders work now? How to know when the borders won't dissapear magically, do they have to be "thicker" than in my pic?
Btw, look at my mob guys :^)
Thoughts?
this is why you use ftl travel only and guard chokepoints.
don't fall for the wormhole meme!
Are there any v1.0.2 torrents out there? 1.0.0 is buggy af
wrong pic
those border outposts suck up your influence points so you can start colonizing those areas later. planets project a bigger influence field than them later on. really you should maybe get 2-3 planets early on and research like crazy with a good resource start.
It was my first game and I was using warp. I still have plenty to learn but I really need to figure out how to run a non military based empire while still being able to build up a big enough fleet to actually be able to attack or defend without being constantly in the red.
tab with planets.
this used to be the case if they were parts of sectors
it seems borders make a circle around their star, but it seems unreliable as to how large they'll be and there's no good way to measure other than guessing
It's shit on many levels.
I had to learn that the hard way as well. If you have three outposts in a line and their borders overlap to make one giant border that doesn't mean that those edges are now permanent. They each still generate their own border so if you take away the outpost in the middle then you'll have a gap.
>delete outpost
>reload
Jesus, it's not fucking hard.
Anyone know how good the 40k mod is?
looking for substitute cosmic strategy while paradox finishes stellaris
Distant Worlds or Sword of the Stars
who's larfin now m8
I won but it was close[/spoiler
and that was +3 warscore, top kek paradox
nice man
ty
But then Influence is a problem
The fuck do I do, I always seem to lack influence
Are you on the Trump Galactic Train?
the unbidden just invaded my galaxy. how strong are they? is a 30k fleet enough to keep them out of my borders?
lol
Lets talk about an actually good 4X game
Fuck off.
Wow, look at all that shit on the screen!
That's how you can tell a good Grand Strat, when just looking at the UI makes you want to vomit.
Praise the emperor and chant this phrase and they shall be purged
click the tainted planet by the xeno filth
kindle the machine spirit and open the console
event crisis.200
>Thinking that's complicated
Can you use the console to force a crisis to happen?
Like If I wanted the scourge to appear at the start of the game.
I never said it's complicated, I just said it has a lot of shit on the screen
Maybe I am autistically in love with 4X games and you just insulted a fellow autist
but why user they spawn with 50k fleets
>decided to play some empire
>nice random sector
>one minute later I got the message that I got new hair
>instead of Romanov I got some Henrietta Salazar
>close the game
Fucking Paradox, I didn't sign up for space cuckoldry.
ur fucked boiii
>Just started my second playthrough after learning the basics for a few hours
>Just encountered my first fallen empire
>All those gigantic fucking ships they have
I'm glad they're passive towards me.
what do you have to press to open console in this game? cause i remember it was a nightmare to find out in CK2
I think it's the squigly line next to the 1 on your keyboard
Just got my 9k power cruiser and battleship fleet raped by 2k of corvettes with inferior weaponry
Thanks paradox
>press `
wow so nightmarish
press the console key
if you arent using international keyboard you are fucked
So I genemodded my species so that it's no longer repugnant because I thought it would work on the empire side and all it did was make my entire population unhappy because they're considered aliens to a alien overlord.
Console command to fix?
Also wars are terribly broken, I am not far into the game at all and a fleet of 12k has conquered half the galaxy.
Even if it says they're equivalent to me I annihilate them.
>Not wanting to have the ancient evil awaken and watch as everyone struggles to figh it
That idea makes my dick rock hard.
Agreed same problem. Wait 3 years for a PDX game to work please.
my fucking empire changed names so many times, why did they do this to me
PARADOOOOOOOX
no user this is what happens
>tyranids arrive
>they steamroll the first guy
>then the one next to it
>then again
>civs do not merge to fight the scourge
>and if they land beside you, its game over
Any general tips for combat?
I suck shit, although in my defense the only empire I've ever had to fight was apparently a Fallen empire who were militant evangelists and they were fucking ridiculous.
Actually I'm wondering if there is too
I'd like to trigger an AI Rebellion/Machine Consciousness immediately, save, then swap to it (That's possible isn't it?)
Yeah I need to modify all names for my next human games. Too lazy to think up ship names though.
PSA TO ALL NEWBS
TO FIND FEATURES SUCH AS THE SPECIES LOG AND THE PLANETS LOG
GO TO EACH TAB (icons on the top)
AND LOOK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW THEY MAKE POP UP FOR SUB-TABS AND EXTRA FEATURES
So I'm doing a space crusade, all alliums I defeat I enslave and put to work in the mines. It's kinda a pain in the ass to resettle them, and ai managing sectors can't do it so.
I'm now integrating these guys and how should I proceed? There will be suddenly a shitton of new planets full of xenos. Should I purge half of them after enslaving the entire population and then slowly introduce pure blood overlords to the mix? I don't have the space in my current empire to accomodate them, already have alium workers where they are needed. However, I'd rather avoid purges because the last time I've done just a few everyone war decced me (including the faggots I'm enslaving now).
forgot pic
click attack
but there is some magic into it I havet discovered it
sometimes my fleet moves so fucking slow despite having superior firepower I get more damage
even tried speed general still havent worked
other than that any ship below cruiser will blow up in an engagement but have some so they can take the face damage till the big guys close in
they dont overlap
and I think only one of the events occur in game
The endgame is soooo boring if you don't get an event and don't have a huge solar system
Like, I could wait 10 minutes to build a fleet but I just don;t feel like waiting.
what do frontier outposts do? Where do I build them?
You guys all have nice coloured maps. How do I force my vassals to change their colours to my own so my map doesn't look so ugly?
plzzz buy me the game steamcommunity.com
...
Best race coming through
I grew my fleet to 1 - 4 - 7 - 32 all with antimatter missles - best shit, worked fine for turning into vassals all civilization around me.
Until I attacked a bigger one under but Idk what htey fucking used - I think mostly lasers and even with a weaker fleet they nuked me out..
I need some tips for weaponizing and what to research to properly be ready for all situations.
Amanitians from Muscaria.
Children's of the Lyseric Amide great mother.
I usually go for 2 kinds of weapons and equip my ships 2/3 with my starting weapon and 1/3 with the other kind of weapon
I'm not THAT into micromanaging and it kind of works for me
Missles are weak as shit against point defense crap. As the game progresses field different types ships. I have several types of destroyers, all use different weaponry but every single ship uses point defense.
PLS RESPOND
My little Aminitans are so cute, so other races have no choice but to forgive them for the galactic-wide genocide.
What Traits do you like best?
Industrious and Quick Learners worked fine for my despotic empire, but I want to try somethign else. Thinking about rapid breeders and conformists for my next play.
They expand your borders, claiming the solar system they are placed into.
Venerable, so all my rulers are 400 years old.
Ok this is what I looked for good tip - thank you m8.
What do you suggest to pair missiles with? Lasers?
By integrating them
Yeah it sounds good but I want to populate planets faster.
Not him, but lasers are weak against Shields. Field different types of shipclasses. On dedicated ship with Rockets, one with gauss weaponry and so on. Always get pointdefense guns.
Not as strong as a Fallen Empire, apparently.
Their portal appeared right in the middle of one Fallen Empire. They got bitchslapped and their portal closed before I even saw any ships.
Does integration count towards my 'directly controlled planets'? Will I have to set them as separate sectors?
Thrifty, because I don't want to chop up my space into sectors.
I got the unbidden and suddenly every in my Galacy loved me even though I played a raging xenophobe.
I joined a Federation and we closed the portal. Make sure to scan their shipwreckages for some cool tech.
How many point defense guns do you use? I haven't saw any empire with missles yet.
They count as planets as any other that you own. So either core worlds or you set them in sectors.
