It feels like it was just yesterday that it was still popular and big, just like CoD. 343 is shit.

i actually played the shit out of this and zombie mode more than the actual multiplayer

I'm not spiritual or religious, but how 343 has acted makes me think that there may be a God out there who hates me.

I remember there was a point in my Halo 3 days where all I had to do was log on on a Friday night and enter the custom games lobby screen and within five minutes it would be full of friends joining. Didn't even have to send any invites sometimes.

Am I the only person who played a map called Bumper Car's in reach? It consisted of two platforms with a death pit in the middle, and everyone spawned with low move speed next to a mongoose or warthog.

That Shit was my fucking Jam. I remember playing it over and over because it was so good, but nobody else seems to have heard of it

Now that I think about it, it's a bit odd that Halo's not in the big leagues anymore.

Of course, that map was fucking great. So was the one where you drive vehicles into each other until they blowup.

The radar is almost fucking useless now though, with sprinting and a reduced range. Doesn't break the game for me though.

I honestly don't get it. Is it just kids that never were around for AT LEAST Halo 2 onwards? The series just turned to shit when it started copying CoD and having loadouts. Ignoring that, I distinctly recall the map quality just turned to utter shit too (aesthetics AND layout).

Reach and Halo 4 fucked up with loadouts. They were still alright games. Halo 3 was great but had some balance issues. I'm sticking to my guns -- Halo 5 does just about everything right.

It's just the creative/story/art direction that 343i suck dicks at.

Halo online is free and has a genuine playerbase, I was on a few days ago playing zombies on lookout where the map was laid out in a path and one zombie was slow as fuck but tanky as hell and slowly pushed all humans in

Some of the weapons weren't viable compared to the BR. It wasn't a huge issue with me. If you've played Halo 5 you might notice that every weapon is viable. This wasn't the case in Halo 3.

I still have some videos saved of Halo 3 in theater mode on my 360. Those were some fun times. I miss hopping on there and playing some Lone Wolves or BTB

Reach was god awful and 4 was pretty bad.

5 doesn't have the content to appeal to casuals and needs better maps to be competitive.

The last entirely widely accepted to be good halo game was 9 (NINE) years ago. 5 is getting there but the series probably wont recover until 6 if it recovers at all.

The Plasma Repeater and Focus Rifle got heavy nerfs from the beta, among other things (read: retarded changes).

1/CE > 3 = 2 > Reach > ODST > Wars > 5 > 4 > those winphone assault games

I'll give you the missing features. There wasn't really an excuse, but here we are 6 months down the road finally getting all the shit that should have been in it day one.

It doesn't change the fact that it's still the best competitive console FPS available at the moment. That's why people keep coming back. I've stopped playing for weeks but I keep coming back. Never have problems finding matches either :^)

Predator was my favorite zombie mode.

ODST was trash, there was no way to search for random firefight or campaign matches

I have ran into the same people in this game since launch. You can't fucking tell me it doesn't have a lousy population when 343 has even said they don't want to add playlists that should have been in at launch like Doubles, because of search times being too long.

Try searching early in the morning in a playlist that isn't Warzone, Arena or BTB.

the same type of people that STILL only vote for fucking Nuke Town. Same shit happens in CoD:Blops3 it's just a shitty fucking map for any mode that isn't "silly" like sticks and stones or something.

The fuck? They're better than the same grey boxes everywhere. Some of the community made maps are pretty damn good and there's a lot people have done with the new Forge. Jenga, Duck Hunt, Toilet Bowl...it's all there but even better with scripting. Now we have zombies so I expect to see some really interesting stuff.

I'm not sure why so many people on Sup Forums get asshurt that people are enjoying something.

I had big group of friends that would get together on the weekends online and play custom games on Halo 3. Our favorite map was called Hello Kitty Island Adventure which was just a platforming map that started you at the top of a big tunnel that you had to get to the bottom off while vehicles and props were flying at you from behind. I can't remember the rest of the map besides bits and pieces but the point was to make it to the end and do a jumping puzzle to get to the skull first before anyone else. Rarely did anyone even make it that far but it was insanely fun having a bunch of Mexicans cheering you on. I miss being a dumb teenager without responsibilities.
