I think that the Triss ending is more appealing considering Geralt does the occasional contract and gets to bang triss whenever rather than being lazy all day every day for the rest of his life with Yen.

Yen is is dominate Alpha one in that relationship. Power wise and everything and Geralt literally only knows the lowest form of magic. It's shit that a 13 year old novice surpasses.

I prefer the Yen one as it's Geralt finally fulfilling his dream that he always wanted to do.

Incidentally, books Geralt had the potential to become a powerful wizard, if only he'd stop being so autistic about Witchery and actually pursued wizardry.

Yeah, but he's been a witcher for 80+ years, you cant just stop doing something you're used to and have been doing since you were born.

That's why I like it. Geralt wants to get away from witchering and run away with Yen and Ciri and retire to some house away from all the troubles that he has to put up with and the political situation that he seems to always find himself in. He just wants peace and comfort and to be with his closed loved ones. It's pretty much the ending he got robbed of from the books which is why I love it. He finally got what he always wanted and fought to achieve.

Sure, I read the books too, but it doesn't change the fact that the signs witchers use are the most basic of basic spells, and it would take years for him to become at all proficient at sorcery even if he was interested.

No one said he couldn't become one, only that he isn't one. That's it. His lifespan doesn't make him a wizard m8.

It took Yen 100 years to get to her power level and I doubt Geralt would be a freak of nature like Vilgefortz so it will take a very long time to become a very powerful mage. Geralt is already close to be a century but I guess if he does become a mage he gets access to the mandrake potion so his aging stops.

The funny thing is, when Yen also lost her memory and wanted to fuck the witchers from snake school, but they didn't plough her because of their respect towards Geralt (you know, sacrificing himself to the Wild Hunt in exchange of her soul? Rings a bell?). She wanted that witcher dick so bad they tried seducing them and turning them against each other.
Too bad the devs totally forgot about that and so did Geralt.

The devs forgot about a lot of things and pretty much railroaded the love triangle and made it very basic. Notice how Yen could never call out Triss on everything she did before and after the last time she saw her and how they had her get mad at Geralt instead of Triss? The love triangle was terriblely handled but I guess I can't complain as it's not a romance game.

Seriously Yen not blowing up at Triss makes no sense given what happen between them in the books and then what Triss did with Geralt in the first two games.

Well, I think Yen not outright killing Triss makes sense since she redeemed herself by protecting Yen and Geralt during the pogrom in Rivia, but yeah - I agree with everything else you've said.
Surely they tried to not mix the books TOO much into the game so to not make it a giant clusterfuck for non-readers, which is like 80-90%? of players. But still - calling out Triss on her shit should've happened, at least for not mentioning Yen and Ciri for like 1,5 worth of games.

Probably because it's a happy ending in a world with no happy endings
