I was playing through the whole of Deadspace 1 on the hardest difficulty with v-sync on and it was super hard. Afterwards I turned it off and replayed it and it was so fucking easy to aim all of a sudden, all the horror was gone. I will say though that the delay is more noticeable in certain games, so it can seem almost placebo in some cases.
