Uhh... how do you build this guy? What's his role?

Uhh... how do you build this guy? What's his role?

He is a blue mage. You play him like a red mage.

POOR KIMAHRI
HORNLESS !
HORNLESS !

You add it to the party and never play him again besides of that forced event, in the sidelines where all shitty characters belong

His role is to be cucked by Auron who also has piercing and does everything he does better
The only other use he has is starting by Ultima and being the first to learn it so Yuna and Lulu can learn it by using black magic spheres

He would be so much better if his Blue Magic wasnt just for limit breaks.

He's close to everyone's grid, make him what ever you want. It's like a rpg

You don't

His stats are shit, his growth is shit
His only purpose is to unlock Ultima and be a Lancet whore really.

Only reason to level him is for boss battles that toss him into the default lineup so he doesn't die immediately making it impossible to switch him out e.g. Seymour Natus

The mandatory Kimahri only fight later in the game scales to him, I did a run where I didn't level him at all, and it was still easy.

He's a furfag. You take his spiny dick.

i'm the party leader, he takes my dick

Teach him all those White Magic utility spells that you don't want to have Yuna waste a turn using since she is your best Black Magic user.
And then continue to not use him.

You use him for speed buffs
>all these casuals ITT that didn't use every party member in every battle

welcome to the only blue mage thats not fucking OP. unfortunately it turns out a balanced blue mage is kind of shit.
on a side note who shall i have as my party lads? considering as a kid i usually went for yuna, tidus and rikku and kinda wanna do something different.

Use all of them, there isn't any downside

DIFFUSAL BLADE

You rush Diffusal Blade

Strago was shit
Quistis was shit
Quina was shit

>determined to use kimahri in international
>make sure he gets exp at every chance
>he's keeping up in the expert sphere grid
>at first
>eventually, because of placement, everyone starts getting +3, +4 stats while he lags behind by 20 places on the grid and is stuck getting +1, +2
>everyone just starts outpacing him at literally everything
>he ends up in the trash, just like the last 3 times i played ffx

Only 2 ways to fix him. Have him immediately hit Rikkus path, or friend sphere him to Tidus or Wakka asap.

You don't

He's an okay heavy hitter until you get Auron but that's it. He will always be nothing but a shitty version of another character.

1. use lancet (whatever it's called) to get a full limit break meter
2. use explosion (from the bomb enemy) on every boss when it's almost dead

otherwise, send him down rikku's sphere grid path because steal and use are pretty useful

Use all of them because there is no downside to swapping out and getting exp for everyone every battle.

Fair, though mostly blue mages have one completely broken aspect, best you get from khimari logistically has... self destruct for the early-midgame and then he stops being usefull
fairly sure that dilutes the xp no?

no xp dilution. Literally no downside to swapping characters

>Step 1
Push his shit in with an over-leveled Tidus
>Step 2
Never use him. Ever. Your team should be a combination Tidus/Wakka/Yuna at the start, then Tidus/Wakka/Rikku for endgame with Yuna/Auron/Tidus as a last resort, even when you grind for endgame gear.
>Step 3
Forget he exists until that forced optional event and lament the developers for being furries.

Cheers, heres an upboat.

>Quistis was shit

False. Quistis was not shit. Degenerator was an excellent ability that one shit all none bosses.

Great for farming the island Closest to Hell.

Here's what I do: Get a few strength nodes in his section of the grid, then send him down Rikku's path and get all the early health and strength. Then teleport him to Auron when you get your first teleport sphere. If you do it right he'll have more health and do more damage than Auron and have Steal and Use.

>the island Closest to Hell
that sounds pretty cool
only played FF I-VII and X.

Dress him up like a girl

never ever used him

he was good at nothing

Literally this OP, you just want to focus on Tidus, Rikku and Wakka for that post game
Hope you love avoiding birds on a chocobo faggot :^)

PMS+QB+Brown Boots->Diffusal Blade->Mant, but BoT if lots of team fights are happening before the manta

What's cooler is that it wasn't an offical area in the game, story wise. It was just a random island with no indication of anything special about it, going to the Menu indicated the Name of the island

Eh, I personally liked 8, I dont think its a bad game but its really one of those games thats too broken to recommend to someone. Its a shame because the ideas behind the junction system was good it just wasnt executed very well.

Now everyone is scared of it for life ;_;

Just bear that in mind if youre going to try it.

Go left and downwards from where he starts, so you can fill out the part of his grid where all the magic spheres are, then end up near Wakka's grid.

Break the level 1 lock at the start of wakka's grid, and follow his grid up until Aim.

Backtrack a bit to the level 2 lock which separates wakka and lulu's grid, and go through there.

End result: Kimahri gets access to aga spells much earlier than Lulu normally does, with about the same magic attack and much more HP and speed. He also has Lancet to refill MP when he runs low.

Send him down Yuna's path so you can have a bitch mode shit ass healer for when she's jerking off Seymour

VIII is the worst game in the franchise. Plot, cast and gameplay. Except maybe XIII.

You are missing nothing.

Wasn't that part the reason Al Bhed potions existed?

He's basically a mini-me of whoever you want him to imitate. Wakka and Lulu are usually not very good paths for him to follow because he'll just be extremely underwhelming at doing anything they do, but Yuna's and Tidus's (especially Tidus's) sections can make him a clutch player in various scenarios. If you follow Yuna he'll become invaluable during the stretch of the game when Yuna is unavailable for story reasons, but usually having a second Tidus (and they're usually at about the same strength and agility range) is always a good idea until you're able to get Hastega, and double Delay Attack/Buster is always great. A second unit with Quick Hit is always great, too, although it will take a LONG while until Kumari gets there.

You can also go Rikku's path to get a thief before Rikku's available, but it doesn't really help you much outside of that.

>boss start boasting about himself having the horniest horn

This never stops being funny.

Aw yeah! Post Khimari lewds!

>OH SHIT SUPER NOVA HERE IT COMES
>2131 damage
>.
>GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK LULU

>Step 1
Circle a bit of his area until you're getting near Mi'ihen (where the first Lvl1 key sphere is).

>Step 2
Unlock and go into Rikku's portion to unlock Steal and Use.

>Step 3
Head back into his area and go into Tidus' with your second key sphere.

>Step 4
Level him but don't bother using him. He's subpar no matter what you do, but at least giving him Steal allows you to get Lvl3 Key Spheres the earliest (Biran and Yenke fight).

...

You definitely want him able to steal by the time you get to his ronso fight, since that's the best source for a bunch of Lvl. 3 Key Spheres.

god damn it user

Role - Pusher, Late Carry

Power Treads, Ring of Aquila, Diffusal Blade, Heart of Tarrasque

I think I had him as a jack of all trades type

Leave it to Sup Forums to remain almost complete plebs regarding his potential.

And yet triple triad is the best mini game

Because that's what he's all about

BLUED

If you are using the standard sphere grid here is my only advice for early on Kimahri:
Take him straight to Rikku's area and get Steal and Use. If you are fighting often you will be able to have access to Steal and Use by the time you get to Moonflow no problem. Having access to two people with Steal right away is amazing, and will allow you to obviously farm many useful items much faster. Then go ahead and run through Rikku's sphere grid with her to get some much appreciated HP and other small bonuses until you can get to either Tidus, Wakka, or Auron, depending on how you want to build him (I choose the Tidus path because it is well rounded and has Quick Hit and Haste).
If you are on the Expert Grid, just do whatever because he can go anywhere he wants

Tidus+auron/wakka+lulu/yuna

Who the fuck uses rikku for anything other than stealing?

>not using white magic spheres to turn her into a mach speed buffer

>Take more steps than necessary to only just be as good as everyone else is by default: The Character.

>hastega
>speed ever mattering

He is built for sex, what else do you want?

No, that was there so you had a heal bitch for water sections.

>Early Steal/Use
>Second Tidus, Turn 1 Hastega/Slowga combo, Quick Hit Spam
or
>Make him the white mage, Make Yuna Black Mage, Drop Lulu

aquila manta style diffusal satanic

>not using the character that always goes first to cast hastega
I know its not a hard game but it's like you want to have shit optimization

After Steal and Use you can use a LvL2 sphere and pick up reflect and dispel a few levels before Yuuuuna too which breaks the early game bosses

You split push with him and overwhelm your opponent with your illusion.

Ya'll are forgetting something. Early game, with the international additions to the remastered versions, Hornless Cat can get Ability Distiller. He is great early game Ability Sphere farmer.

Then is pretty much useless when you get the to High Road.

Oh, and useful for Yuna gets waifu'd on then abducted for a quarter of the game.

>e blade
wrong
Replace with butterfly or daedulus

the mandatory fight gives you level 3 key spheres.
use him to learn rikku's tree early, you can steal a lot of nice things before you meet her again.

>Let's have a big boss fight and then right after that go through many enemies without a save
A+++ Game design T.B.H Senpai

>being this casual
BAKA desu

literally this , but if blue wasent restricted he would become broken like quina in ff9

I use him in place of Lulu on normal sphere grid. Takes a while to catch up to where she would be at, but then he is strictly better

>grinding
>in FF8

Jokes on you, I didn't even play it. I watched someone else play it.

God, I bet he has the strongest farts

I don't know what's more amusing. PC fags needing help on every new release or PC fags actually playing every new release.

Have you people seriously never owned a console

I played FFX, but the only time I ever saw him was at the beginning of the game, then some rando fight on a mountain with two others.

>USELESS

Seriously though, his problem is his total lack of role. The only way to make him even half-decent is to Friend/Teleport Sphere him to Tidus' path so you have two insanely quick fighters instead of one.

At his best, he's situational, where having two Tidus' would be better than having an Auron or Wakka.

That's about the sum total of his contributions. Wakka gets air attack so he's automatically better as a secondary warrior, and Auron's damage output based on his base stats in addition to being the same "type" make him secondary to Auron automatically.

Get him some Delay Attack, just like Tidus, and have them double team people (unless you're doing a Sphere-Walk endgame), and that's about his only use.

Quite early on you can take kimihari to another path. Take him to aurons and use some strength spheres along aurons path so they both get it. There ya go there both beasts, my kimihari late game hits for 15-20k.

what do you think they smell like haha

Pretty sure the majority already played FFX and have moved on from consoles

why would I wanna use such a boring character

Permanent Self-Destruct.
kimarhi a shit

What? You don't know how to build DotA Allstars PL?

Fuck, I really want to find out.

>not wanting all those magicks stacked

niggers

I don't know if I can handle playing through this shit again without being able to skip cutscenes. It's like torture

YO I forgot all about this motherfucker. I stared at the picture for 30 seconds before I remembered.

Best plan I've seen.

You fap to him

FF8 is full of small tasty things like this, you should check it out senpai. Play that shit blind

>all these Kimarhi haters
I didn't realize people were so bad at a single player RPG that they had to worry about min/max characters to complete it.

Kimarhi was fun and could get a lot of unique abilities, some of which are really useful.
If you aren't total shit at games you can use Kimarhi and be fine. He's also mildly more interesting to "play" (implying you play a menu) than most of the other characters.

>HOWL ALONE HOWL ALONE
I lost my shit at that scene

>didn't play IX, the patrician's choice

>Is a tripfag
Not like your opinion is valid or anything.

>What's his role?
His role is pandering to barafags

Buffbot

>make a blue mage/dragoon
>ruin it by making it furshit
>make red mage/dragoon
>ruin it by making it furshit

WHY DOES SQUARE HATE DRAGOONS UNLESS THEY ARE KAIN CLONES?

>Quina was shit
>super cheap 9999 damage spell that requires very little MP and no Trance
>Angel Snack
>can solo the entire Desert Palace with just Level 5 Death
>can do any role and goes into any party

FF9 is super easy and can be easily cleared 100% with any party, but Quina is amazing.
