To be fair, it fits everything else they've revealed about her character so far. It's not like they took a totally normal character then suddenly made them autistic. It's been clear from day 1 there's something wrong with her

One of them was an ebin meme one, the other was just "You like to play [Character]" for all of them, the third one was pretty legit.

Tbh that favela burning down 100% for sure was a positive outcome, favelas are fucking awful and the people inside of them would probably rather be dead.

One thing I resent about Overwatch's story is that it seems like a handful of the characters exist in a vacuum. It's not really clear how Symmetra is connected to any of the other characters, if at all, and I wish they'd flesh that out.

I think it's kind of cool because their only main tie is overwatch itself.

They are all connected through overwatch in some way, the only reason it seems like that is because there are no cutscenes of their interactions yet. IE mercy chats with reinhardt in-game all the time and they talk like old friend, but they have never appeared in any cutscenes together. On the other hand, torb and mercy took a Halloween picture together and gave it to winston, but i have never heard them speak in-game.

Basically it isn't done yet.

The thing is that Lucio and Symmetra are more alike than they know, since they both come from lowly upbringings and just want to make the world a better place. Symmetra is just misled because the things she can do really can help the world but she's being manipulated by corrupt businessmen.
