The netcode is a mess right now. But that's a rule with fighting games I guess.
Oliver Harris
just get blazblue or guilty gear or wait for kof i was hyped as fuck for this game then they started nerfing shit like links into links because that was OP? instantly knew what type of game it would be and just bailed. last game i had the patience to play in this manner was cvs2 and it is the second best fg ever made
Julian Carter
its easily the worst sf to date.
Matthew Carter
Here we go again. When are you going to post the greentext pasta? Or the steam reviews? Who the fuck is so much of a waste he does this every day?
Daniel Flores
There's some loser who does that shit with FFXIV too. They devote their life to trying to get other people to hate a game they don't like. It's so fucking pathetic.
Same thing happened with Bloodborne too. I fucking hate how neo-Sup Forums is. So much fucking cancer it's unbelievable.
Leo King
160 hours in. Also Abel main here and I'm at ultra gold playing Ken.
Tried Laura and Cammy first, dropped them. But now I can compete with plat-ultra plats. Keep playing I guess.
Jordan Scott
I feel the same way honestly. It's a more balanced fighter and has a lot less of the SF4 bullshit, but for some reason SF4 was just always way more fun.
I played Fei and Abel
Alexander Reyes
>Gold first week of release >Haven't played since because the netcode is still asymmetrical rollback
SFV is no joke the most disappointing game I've ever bought.
Andrew Powell
This explains it quite well.
Joseph Gray
great man. this summs the feel up i had when SF4 era.
Robert Wright
I took a break from the game after I ate 12 disconnects from the server in 2 days. Gonna pick it up again once I'm done with DOOM, provided I won't get kicked after every fucking match. Got into Gold League months ago, so the plan is to get the minimalist title with my main girl Karin. Afterwards, I think I will play another character more in-depth. Probably Ken.
Lucas Price
>tfw went from gold to silver
man some of the losses I had from roll back or just lag was insane
Jaxson Ortiz
I'm tired of Ryu and I'm not doing really great with Bison. Since I'm done with my exams I'm only waiting for boxer to drop to get back into the game again.
I'm only super bronze though, I can't go to silver
Zachary Cooper
Just hit silver and still having a blast. I play Alex, Nash, and Ryu.
Ryder White
Has LTG turned into a living meme?
Andrew Watson
>Get close to Ultra Bronze >Capcom decide to match me with 6 dudes who are Silver or higher in a row >Manage to win a few rounds but never the match >Back down to Bronze
Charles Torres
Yes, but he's not even funny anymore. He just needs to fuck off at this point.
Levi Campbell
>Boxer I fucking dread the day he's going to be released. People already play lame as fuck. The last thing this game needs is a character encouraging them to hold downwards back for the entire match.
God, I'm getting flashbacks to SFIV. >match against Balrog >he does literally nothing >get close >jab is faster than anything I have >hit confirms into combo >jump in >eat anti-air headbutt >at a severe life disadvantage now, so I need to keep attacking this brick wall Eventually I learned to deal with the match up, but it's still the least fun characters to play against.
Benjamin Thomas
Has been like that for months, dude.
Noah Watson
>back where I belong keep practicing, bud
Owen Nelson
>Gold League >get matched against Platinum player >actually win >it's raining League Points I never understood people throwing the match before it has even begun. Especially when Ultra Bronze and Silver are pretty close to one another.
Stop bitching and put in work.
Oliver Wright
>Not just throwing out random shorts and jabs and when he does something if it's any 1 hit move you can easy focus crumple, if he goes for a 2 hit all of that shit is unsafe and you can punish ezpz.
I don't get your distaste for Balrog. It least he wasn't Akuma or Seth.
Logan Ortiz
>Getting matched to people higher than you
Fucking I wish this were the case
>Be Gold ~4800 points >Heading to Super Gold >Ultra Bronze >Silver >Silver >Ultra Bronze >Win all of them >Ultra Bronze with the power of asymmetrical rollback lag >Full screen teleport DP's >Rewinding hit confirms into spammed out Critical arts >Lose 180 points
Liam Walker
>those low rank players who mash out medium DP while you pressure It's a good thing I don't play tournaments. I would fucking rush that faggot.
Charles Myers
Pff, that's no issue. Know your blockstrings and frametraps and properly bait that shit out you get free crush counters. Tournaments are free of the fuckawful netcode SFV has so they're infinitely better.
Juan Parker
>Just hit gold >159 hours in
Shit takes time if you're not a great player, playing a character like Nash or Ryu will help too.
Asher Gonzalez
I get like ten points per win on average currently. Takes me like what? 200 wins in a row to rank up? And when I lose once I have to win ten more games.
I should have the option to avoid silver and bronze queers.
Bentley Rogers
>playing ranked >not lobby or casual to get decent and fun match ups
Henry Gray
What the fuck are you talking about boxer is maybe the most offensive charge character after bison
Ryan Ross
>100 hours >dick rare from jerking it to laura
Ryan Myers
You've seen my post. I was pretty offended back there.
Brayden Hill
Why are charge characters so lame to play?
Jose Robinson
Do you people not play local games? I spend entire days playing SFV against another person right next to me.
Easton Harris
Honestly OP, it's just not a very fun game, don't feel too bad for not feeling it.
Brandon Watson
>be Ultra Bronze Karin >get matched up against Ultra Gold Guile >beat him >"server failed to send data" >he refuses the rematch
That would have probably been more than enough points to push me into Silver too
Camden Rodriguez
STREET FIGHTER 5 ISNT VERY FUN TO PLAY
No one will be playing it in five years.
Evan Murphy
>down back working in sfv >jabs comboing into anything in sfv
Sounds like this game was made for you, you'll be fine
Leo Hernandez
Don't get too obsessed over ranks. It just pisses you off in the end. Play casual more often.
Ethan Howard
just post more LTG vide you cucks
Jaxson James
>Ultra Bronze >Literally a tier right under silver >Get bopped by silver >Go back to where you belong
Fucking kek dude, try playing silver where the game throws you ultra gold/platinum out of fucking nowhere.
Joseph Ortiz
I still play 3S more. I just have more fun and don't know why. I don't have V. I still play it and it's a good game. But, I don't know. It just lacks that one character that I have a lot of fun with. Karin is close but not close enough. Well see what Urien is like and if they fuck him up.
Jose Johnson
Burning desire? I was completely uninterested in this game two weeks in. It's just so bland.
William Gomez
Don't get tied up in tiers. They don't mean a fucking thing. You'll honestly play better matches against higher caliber players in lounges with out the stress of losing points (if you care).
Jason Scott
I mainly play Battle Lounge. I just wanted to rank up quickly so better players would join my lobby more often
William Diaz
>it's a Sup Forums talks about fighting games you guys are so retarded it hurts.
Caleb Jones
>barely reached silver >game is matching me against ultra golds, plats and pros >don't lose that many points but I learn nothing because I get absolutely bodied Th-thanks Capcom's senior engineer.
James Thomas
LTG posted new rules where he turns off the stream if people haven't donated 20 dollars within the hour.
@LOWTI3RGOD 20h 20 hours ago @JYsocial I majored in business, and I have bachelor's degree business in management. I know what I'm doing.
I wonder what college he went to where they taught him to close the store if no one bought anything within an hour of you opening the store. Maybe it's the same school where DSP got his finance degree.
Carter Baker
Don' worry about that. If they tie that much into a persons rank then they don't understand that it actually doesn't mean anything and probably aren't worth playing. I always enter lounges of gold and higher players and don't get kicked, Maybe I'm just lucky all the time?
Jack James
LTG is an idiot. More at 11. The funnier thing is that he thought there was ever a demand for him.
Robert Turner
who hype for dlc season 2
Landon Powell
Lobby going up in a second. For EU players. Boot up your games.
Jayden Robinson
Lobby is up. Filter accordingly so you can find the lobby faster. Enter the room with the specific comment.
EU.
Caleb Reyes
It genuinely feels unfinished. I enjoyed the core of the game, but I feel like I'm constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop due to all the impending DLC
Kevin Price
As much as I hate the matchmaking, I will say the game does a pretty good job of matching you with people of your same "skill" and not rank.
I'm met several players ranks above me that I manage to floor out or eek by with a win.
Don't be intimidated by rank. It doesn't mean shit in the end.
That said, it's always Gold faggots that seem to rage quit or don't give runbacks. Although I can at least excuse the latter.
Caleb Morales
That's probably because there was more to discover about characters in SFIV. Once you find out everything about characters in SFV, it becomes a matter of studying player habits and fundamentals.
Christian Rivera
I think that's probably why the matchmaking is taking so long. Capcom is a little bit afraid matching people of too wide skill gap. So the server stresses itself finding a suitable player. They should probably relax some of the conditions because it's taking too long in this condition.
Jordan Lopez
>playing a fighting game with 8 frames of input lag
Just wait for GGXrd and KoF14, fampais.
Andrew Hall
>Karin shitter getting gipped of points >hamster poster
fucking laughed my ass off. Thanks.
Asher Price
>not playing both Xrd and SFV Both are great. Xrd teaches you some reflexes that carry over to SFV. They're not mutually exclusive.
William Thomas
holy shit i skimmed through his last broadcast, every loss is being justified to them being bad in his head. does he have some kind of mental disability?
Jayden Evans
They should just keep it the same way the SF4 had it. Shit was perfect.
>set matchmaking to 4+ connection >match lags like all hell >end match >leave >next match >it's the same fucking guy
Charles Williams
>not getting gud in every fighting game >not wanting to become the king of the FGC
Benjamin Jenkins
Xrd doesn't have 8 frames of input lag.
Even """""""""""pros"""""""""""" are getting sick of that shit.
Brody Lewis
He most likely does. It's best to just ignore him. He lives off attention. Viscant shouldn't even have dignified him with a grudge match.
David Flores
With Street Fighter 5 released and The King of Fighters XIV in the horizon, more and more newcomers are getting into fighting games. I thought it would be a good idea to give some guidelines on how to become a member of the fighting game community, for the benefit of all of us. If people could repost this list in coming fighting game related threads, we could help newcomers and ourselves as well.
Here are some things the fighting game community likes. To become a part of the community, you need to like at least three things from the following list.
1. Fighting games: obviously (not Smash!). 2. Shounen anime with fighting: The hypest shit, especially Dragon Ball. Dubs preferred so you can take in 100% of the action. 3. Martial arts movies: They inspire us to feats of superhuman strength and ability. Dubs preferred here also. 4. Wrestling: it is wrestlers whom we emulate when we enter the stage. 5. Hip-hop music: phat beats get our blood pumping for the match. 6. Personalities: if you don't know who Infiltration or Combofiend are, you're not gonna last long.
It should also be noted that if you're an introverted person, you shouldn't attempt to join our community. You won't enjoy our spontaneous shouting and inside jokes, and you're gonna ruin the atmosphere for us.
In general, the fighting game community is welcoming of newcomers, but for your own sake and for ours, give these guidelines some thought before you attempt to join us.
Wyatt Hall
I dunno i was happy it happened, what is Viscant up to lately?
Xavier Sullivan
8 FRAMES
F R A M E S
Jaxon Gray
I personally hope he will be more like he was in the super turbo, and none of that defensive bullshit in fourth. Boxer should be a rushdown character.
Henry Taylor
>I thought it would be a good idea to give some guidelines on how to become a member of the fighting game community
Stopped reading there.
Charles Ross
Why don't you ever see pro players complaining about this "8 frames" meme and only randoms on Sup Forums?
Alexander Davis
Maki there is a legit shot. MAYBE Eagle. I doubt well see Sagat anytime soon.
Zachary Gutierrez
cause pro players have money to win user.
Oliver Long
>8 frames of 60per second Woha u must have reflexes and reaction time beyond believe.
Jaxon Cook
Except they are? Do you tune out FGC news or are you just false flagging?
Logan Hill
>I thought it would be a good idea to give some guidelines on how to become a member of the fighting game communit >advice is anything but actually playing the game Shit post disregarded.
Christian Rodriguez
>implying every frame isn't fucking crucial to how you play ANY game, especially fighters
Once again, you fucking scrubs never cease to amaze me.
Oliver Butler
This legacy controller no lag shit is going to be a nightmare at this weekends majors
Jayden Sanchez
>tfw no character I love playing yet
Ryu it is then
Austin Sullivan
Ryu is solid as fuck. Don't let the fucking cry babies deter you from picking him.
Isaiah Morales
I hope Ibuki is fun. Or I'm going to learn Chun. I'm not feeling anyone besides Ryu at the moment. The cast has too many grapplers/charge characters.
John Reed
super gold with Laura and haven't touched it in a month.
The problem is it's boring to watch, boring to play.
Too cut and dry and everyone regardless of rankplays exactly the same since combos are so easy now.
Aaron Morales
How tough would it be for someone with little experience of animu fightan games to jump in to Revelator on launch and not get completely destroyed. The game looks so fucking good but I'm kind of afraid it's just going to be a bloodbath for newcomers desu
Ethan Young
That's the biggest issue I hate. There is no character I have a lot of fun with.
Kayden Wright
Can't wait to body all the waifufag Jurishitters when she's released.
Caleb Parker
I mean I actually enjoy playing Ryu, I just don't love playing Ryu
I'm hoping I enjoy Juri or at least one of the upcoming DLC characters
Juan Barnes
This pasta must have been made to falseflag, right?
Oliver Clark
I said I was going to consider getting the game after Ibuki was released, but I doubt that I'll even get it then.
Lincoln Martinez
On launch? There will probably be enough scrubs playing to go around. If you take advantage of the scrub wave to learn the game, then it should be ok. Xrd has good tutorial aswell.
Bentley Williams
>1,7k hours on USF4 How? The online barely worked.
Josiah Foster
Where the fuck is Sagat. What the fuck, Capcom. What are you doing? Sagat?
Levi Garcia
Lobby is up?
Hunter Richardson
But it does though, I've been put against Ultra Golds as an Ultra Bronze and once you hit Silver you can pretty much face anybody. I never have a problem finding games though, usually less than a minute in the evenings for Ranked
Nathan Flores
Is down
Henry Gomez
I would be Gold if I could find fucking matches, the matchmaking in this game is a fucking disgrace.
Cameron Edwards
Hey it's been a while since this pasta have been posted.
