Consoles aren't that expensive considering. PC is ideal for a lot of games though. For example, Bethesda games are almost worth playing on PC not really just New Vegas, and strategy games are really only available on PC.

But yeah, I don't know why people go for the whole console wars thing. You should buy a PC first because it's the most expensive and has the most uses, you should buy a Nintendo handheld if you ever have to take public transportation, you should buy either the Sony or the Microsoft console based on which ones your gaming friends have, then you should buy whichever you need to play an exclusive you're interested in.

PCs are more expensive to begin with but consoles gradually start to overtake them after a while.

I want to like my consoles, but none of them really have anything good. The games usually have major issues that prevent me from enjoying them, and it's hard to ignore these flaws. For example,

>Mario, Ratchet and Clank, and Sunset Overdrive are just glorified hallway simulators and don't offer a single bit of challenge
>Splatoon, Killzone and Gears of War have horrible online and make League of Legends' community look like Quake 3's community. Not to mention their singleplayers are so bad that, to call them "glorified tutorials" would be giving them too much credit
everything else is just kind of weak, with no replayability

I thought I hated fun, but I have hundreds of thousands of games that I enjoy on PC, so that can't be it. I think maybe consoles are just a little overrated.

I think this is a major issue, especially with PS4 games. While i enjoyed playing Uncharted 4 it didn't feel like a game at all, it just felt like i was watching a movie the whole time and if i wanted to watch a movie i'd watch a movie, not spend $60 on a game.
