Fun game, ended up stuck at a part in the main story where they insisted you grind the fuck up to pass.

I do hope that means they understood people want it uncensored. After all if you look at screenshots of Phantom Brave you can definitely notice they have xbox360 controller icons. For Disgaea PC they seemed to say they wanted to keep 1234 stuff for their releases on Steam, but people told them they'd rather have actual icons. So maybe they're really listening to feedback?

I have Phantom Brave emulated and I still wanna support the Steam release, Disgaea PC looks really nice and chances are if these games do well, we'll get games we can't emulate on Steam.

An HD port would be a worthwhile purchase, since emulators can't improve the 2d by resolution scaling.

Although they're probably going to do another half-baked job and leave the character sprites untouched, making the whole thing pointless.

It's very similar to Disgaea, but has more differences.

For one, it's Free-Flow (You can move wherever you want) rather than being restricted to Tile-Based movement (Disgaea). Story is much more serious and is an actual tear jerker, if you like tropical themed games then this is for you.

Sadly, it's WAY to easy to abuse mechanics to power level yourself and thanks to this, it's way too easy in general. (You can solo everything with just Marona alone if you know what you're doing). This is because everything has 'titles'. You can put a Failure title to a high level dungeon to make Lv. 100 character Lv. 20 while still retaining the same experience that you get from killing a Lv. 100.

Also, there is almost NO Post-game, which sucks for a Disgaea-like title.

Disgaea Port suffered because Steam Beta fucked the whole thing up but NISA took the blame, luckily they were able to patch it within like 2 days, so I'd imagine the Phantom Brave port will be just fine.

This game is ok, but not really good. I remember the pointer being slow as fuck on the PSP version and the voice acting being terrible on bothe the dub and original voice over.
Thought the PC version can benefit with the use of the mouse.
