Deepest Lore

Help me finish this, Sup Forums.

We need an official list already. I've mostly listed some common ones I'm sure of to set a baseline.

>Dark Souls has deep lore
>Elder Scrolls has deeper lore

Put Elder Scrolls below browser games and Dark Souls just below the surface.

grr I am mad lol u troll me

Dwarf Fortress automatically goes to Challenger Deep level.

Mario on the bottom.

Feel free to add it.

Does it have deep lore inherently, though, or does it tend to create such deep lore as things are generated in game?

But where's Pyongyang Racer? ;-)

metal gear must be between ff9 and the elder scrolls

Drakengard/Nier is exactly where it belongs, good job OP. Seriously that game has so much extra shit.

Eye Divine Cybermancy on the bottom

>Mario not the most deepest

OP fails once again

This

I feel as though there isn't enough lore for it to be that low

>DF lore
>Deep

With random world generation you can have some surprisingly interesting stories (Good luck finding with them with the convoluted Legends mode) I would put mid level deep.

Rance on same level as Elder Scrolls.

thank you for appreciating 9

its manufactured lore so its ultimately shallow pretending to be deep.

>I would put mid level deep

I agree.

I've added a few that seem very reasonable.

Should Mario actually go to the bottom, or is that just humor for the most part?

Nigga mario is just a meme

I dunno. Rance lore has depth, but it's not crazy deep, if that makes sense.
The background material is great though, and it's amazing they've managed to keep it consistent for over 20 years.

Halo should be somewhere above dwarf fortress but below dark souls

Just humor, people take shit out of proportion
>WHOM IN A CAGE WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHY IS HE IN THERE WHO PUT HIM IN THERE
>CITY UNDERWATER BACKGROUND IN STAGE THAT'S MORE LIKE A BETA TEST AREA WHYYY?

Put pokemon just below the surface

...

>inb4 ass pain

Never noticed those. It just makes the game creepier, as if Garland can watch every place of Gaya at any time and not from just the Invincible.

bump

It's actualy an analog for necron, notice he has no eyes, holes where they should be

he's like a god, it implies he's always watching what's going on

extra fitting since the game is a meta commentary from the creators as well, representing a kind of death of the older series elements, a major theme of the title

AND it reveals that the faces in the reversed castle with no eyes are foreshadowing necron's appearance. Those people must have known about him, or maybe he's even appeared before at a similar crisis.

shit's deep

I wouldn't put it below souls for lore depth. I'd say it's quite a distance away from the surface, it has lore and it's an extensive world, but not astronomically deep.
