Okay but no one actually defends games like skyrim. They just say the game can be fun if you mod it. It's in no way the same as saying that bethesda made a good game dumb frogposter.

New doom. Honestly feels like most of those threads are filled with marketers. Their posts and the way they type things out just reeks of someone who isn't local to here.

But all of these things are just fine to /tosg/. They'll shit on you so hard for complaining about anything.

The problem with Overwatch criticism is that it's usually sourced from fucking idiots who didn't play the free beta and unironically spout the most ridiculous shit as fact. It also comes from a few Battleborn owners suffering from buyers remorse and/or jealously, and feel compelled to shit on the game that was more successful.

The issue is retarded fanboys assume that anyone making any criticism of a game must suck at it. I got told to git gud and that I didn't know how to play when I criticized elements of level design in Hotline Miami 2. At the time of that thread, I was first place on half a dozen hard mode leaderboards for the game, and I was the first player to break the 1mil points mark in any level. I wasn't the best player but I sure as fuck knew how to play. Still, any criticism was met with "lol stop whining cause you can't beat a level literally get gud scrub"

They're right though. The game gives you options, make use of them for the optimal personal experience. It doesn't change the mechanic is shit but you don't have to let it ruin the rest of the game if you can completely ignore it and it plays fine. Though of course that isn't always possible. Some shit mechanics are so far ingrained it ruins the experience altogether.
