Play the snes version because I said so

SNES sounds better, GBA has a better translation and some bonus stuff.

Take your pick.

every SNES Final Fantasy is way better in the GBA. Believe me, I'm a huge fan, and I've tried them all.
Also, Final Fantasy V is so underrated, to me it is one of the best.

I'd like to believe you. I really really would. But warping to another world in a god damn asteroid is stupid. The job system was meh (Better in the GBA version if memory serves). And VI is so much better that my nuts explode every time I play it. (in a good way)

There's a patch for the GBA rom to restore the SNES sounds and music, so if you do that you get the best of both worlds.

>tfw no gba port of FF Mystic Quest

GBA version has:
- Better translation, like way better.
- 4 new Classes
- 2 Extra Dungeons

SNES has:
- Better sound, I know there is a hacked GBA rom with improved sound quality on the bit tunes, so the one good thing the SNES version has is worthless if you are going to emulate.

The following line:

>"Now we fight like men, and ladies who dress like a men! For Gilgamesh, it's morphin' time!"

Is from the GBA version, which the iOS/Android and Steam followed, so that's automatically the better version.

Is the phone version viable?

I'd say GBA because of the huuuuuge extra dungeons and new classes. The font is less ugly and the translation is better.

There's a patch that turns the sound into that of the SNES version I believe, so there's no reason to pick the latter.

No.

GBA version with SNES sound patch

Here is Final Fantasy Advance IV-V-VI Sound Restoration with a fuck load of fixes (like color restoration, uncensored etc)

Includes mGBA emulator

Did they seriously tarnish the basically perfect translation layed out by the GBA version?

That doesn't even look like FFV

What the fuck is this?

Only downside is that the GBA music had to be mono rather than stereo for various limitations. Still, it's practically identical.

PC.

For me VI drops HARD after the game turns into the World of Ruin. I didn't like the magicite system nearly as much as FFV's job system since it was more limited. The story in VI though of course blows V out of the water.

...

This is killing my autism holy shit

It looks like an RPGMaker game.

The PC version is the same as the mobile version, i.e: this

>Thanks in advance
Hah!

Play the PS1 version.

That is nothing compared to blur photoshop tooled kefka

that stubby arm.

If its the PSN version yes

But if its physical stay the fuck away from it

just watch the FMV's on youtube

But the PS1 version has a horrible translation and no extra huge dungeons.

The Android/iOS version is fun. The only bad thing about it is the misplaced Amano portraits during dialogue.

To be fair, Final Fantasy V always looked like an NES game with a larger color palette, so the original wasn't much of a looker to begin with. Still it's no excuse for this crappy job.

Don't make the mistake I did, don't go into the GBA bonus dungeon until you're near the end of the game.

you should know that those extra dungeons are always meant to provide a higher challenge than the base game.

But it wasn't for the first couple of levels, not until I got too far down to escape. It tricked me!

Honestly as a first time player to most of the Final Fantasy games, the bonus don't interest me in the least. I rather just hop onto the next game.

>the bonus don't interest me in the least.
But it's pretty much the only challenge in the game.

I liked the GBA version quite a bit, but the sound is pure ass.
First time playing; go SNES.

I'm a busy man user. I've got things to do.

But the music is incredible.

> but the sound is pure ass.
there's a patch for that.

Isn't it just the SNES music?

oh, well then; GBA version is by far the best.
