I no longer have troubles with him now but I have to admit he fucking destroyed my anus
IGNORANT
>that uppercut into a high kick
I died and came at the same time.

I've yet to face him on my second character, but he only took me two or three tries the first time. Main issue is that damn kick and shoulder check.
Is his child even real?
He was so much harder in co-op just because he actually uses all his moves.
Nameless King. Everything about it with the exception of his dragon being a bit weak.
Do you see a baby?
I swear to god, if Sephiroth were in Dark Souls, he would be Artorias. And the Abyss Watchers are the perfect representation of all the edgelord children that love him.
Sully, because he's the only boss I had to summon a gank squad for.
I liked the battle with the old demon king. Finally killing off the last of the demons is pretty cool.
...
What if the baby is invisible
And then he gets angry because you killed his invisible child and splattered its invisible blood all over him

the tracking and range on the shoulder once he's enraged is crazy.
Wow thats superhuman

My favorite is probably dragonslayer armor, cool boss and a pretty honest fight.
I understood that reference.
Guess I'm in the minority here but I fought this dude with a scythe and didn't really have any problems with him.
To be fair though, Aldrich, Dragonslayer Armor, Twin Princes, and Nameless King gave me a lot of trouble though.
That motherfucking Nameless King, holy shit.
Also, as for favorite bosses thematically, probably tie betweeen Abyss Watchers, Nameless King, or Twin Princes. Fuck it, Aldrich too. Idk, I liked a lot of the bosses in this one.
Nameless King, Twincest, and Soul of Cinder are probably my favorites. Dragonslayer Armor is up there, too.
Also Aldrich.
I loved them all, but Soul of Cinder is my favourite of any Souls game.
All that moveset, diffferent fases, the setting, the music, the fact that it's actually him on the cover of the game... just perfect.
>God Tier
Pontiff, Champ Gundyr, Dancer, Nameless King second phase
>Great tier
Soul of Cinder, Abyss Watchers, Oceiros, Lothic&Lorian, Dragonslayer Armor
>Gimmick but still good tier
Curse-rotted Greatwood, Deacons, High Lord Wolnir
>Decent tier
Old Demon King, ludex Gundyr, Aldrich, Nameless King first phase
>Meh tier
Crystal Sage, Vordt
>Shitty gimmick tier
Yhorm, Ancient Wyvern
>literally the "have to do something for early teens"
Abyss Watchers was best for setting atmosphere, and raising interesting questions about the world. Yhorm with Siggie is fun as well, otherwise a standard gimmick fight.
I liked the concept of Wolnir literally falling deeper into the abyss with each bracelet broken. Felt it could have been better done, and damn if I don't want to actually play through a giant desert of Carthas at some point. Dancer looks coolest but fuck that everything.
I agree with that list almost 100%, I'd move Deacons down though.
You can hear the baby and how he get's fucked up like mashed potatoes. What Oceiros talked about that his baby doesn't have to be scared and that he can show himself makes sense to me about being invisible (can't remember what he said but something of that sort)
It's a shame you don't get a proper fight with the Ancient Wyvern, because the boss itself is amazing.
Awesome gameplay, the only souls like real battle. Maybe u can count dragon rider too.
In design, the pontifice and yhorn lore. The dancer has awesome movements, but too open and long. That is pretty much it, the others are shit and memes.
I'd put Old Demon King, Soul of Cinder, Aldrich, and Twincest a rank higher each. I'd drop Pontiff, Oceiros, and Dancer one.
But overall I'm in fairly close agreement.
After that fight I expected to encounter more of the pilgrim butterflies at some point. A bit bummed that AFAIK, you never do.
+1 for champ
He's cool, but very predictable.
The fight could be more interesting if it didn't have those stupid butterfly spamming meteor.
I was a bit disappointed, too... but those things scare the shit out of me so I'm almost relieved.
We all do user. To be an enemy like the guyn knights. Hard as hell but with awesome drops for the castle part.
I tried to cosplay invade as an Abyss Watcher in the Wolnir area. Then I realized their weapon is 100% shit and I was sad.
Why do they make it worse? If you move even slightly they can never hit you with any of their attacks. Half the time they won't even aim near you.
They just make the fighter cooler.
That was the point in DeS and DS. The difficulty wasnt that the enemy do crazy shit at light speed. The thing was to know what to do and what not to do every time, and slowly get the enemy health down. So a fight was about patience and study the enemy, not about roll like a madman and eat 15 estus flasks with weapons that hit 25% ot the boss health.
I love when people online use that shit and all they do is spam parry and the ground spin.
Its a third party making a mess of a mano o mano fight.
Its an outside elements/mechanic trying to make the fight harder than it is.
Never liked these elements in any of Souls boss fight.
Its cheap and lazy.
These butterfly thing would be better if they are the level elements that harass you throughout the grand archives.
I could see that, but if they took them out Dragonslayer would -have- to get at least one new attack to compensate. Any idea what?
i cosplay invaded as super heavy smough w/havel shield @ like 160% weight on the weekend, was fun
normies got intimidated
>Greatshield
no fun zone
it's far from 100% shit.
i've had more success with it than the greatsword.
when you can't roll or run and have next to no stamina regen need all the help you can get :^)
The stormfag on his dragon.

>phase change for when the real one pops up
>1:37 happens
The boss was easy as fuck, but the music and how it amps up when he phase shifts was rad as fuck.
This one was my favorite. It felt like a real fight.
Had to play Eurobeat on spotify instead of the OST in the background to beat him. Fucking felt awesome.
Gotta learn his moves, and get a hit in when you can. Reminded me of how it felt to fight Artorias, except Artorias was faster and you had to pay more attention.
I wanted more fights like this.
The real battles are like dance my friend.
