They can still announce it now, so people know it's not just going to be abandoned like other recent FPSes.

If we DON'T get a Sombra announcement, I'mm be surprised. That said, announcing Athena would be cool, but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.

If we get like 3~4 characters every 2 months, i would be very happy

Fair, but the idea of just whipping D'vas mech back at the enemy team without having to kill a Reinhardt to do it sounds super fun.

Imagine if that hero could leg drop the enemies. That would make the game 10 times better.

You have to remember that PR people at Blizzard are masters when it comes to building hype and pulling tricks like saying that "game will launch with 21 heroes" and then announcing new heroes anyways.

It's going to be tough balancing stuff like that because you don't want to make heroes that are better alternatives who fill the same niche

There is a HUGE difference between knowing that Blizzard is working on heroes based on easter eggs and hints, and Blizzard actually announcing new heroes with details about them.

The point is hero announcement and hero release are close to one another, only a few days apart. The only way we are getting an announcement is if Blizzard is lying about 21 heroes

Tackling Dva's mech out of the way isn't really Reinhardt's primary niche. His primary niche is big shield support tank.

Offensive wrestler man's niche is literally throwing enemies away, and the feign death/selling being killed would allow him to sneak behind enemy lines and wreak havoc. Not saying it's perfect, but it'd certainly be a unique archetype to see in an FPS.

I'd be ok with the kids of the reveal trailer being in the game but I think it's unlikely. Alot of the kills in the game are extremely brutal and it's hard to imagine having blizzard let some of the goodie-two-shoes characters brutally murder kids. The only character I could see killing the kids would be Reaper.

According to who? Some games announce their DLC WAY the fuck in advance before release, or that it'll come out in a few months time. Announcing some new heroes to go out shortly post-launch today would make perfect sense.

We dont' exactly know the timeframe of a lot of stuff though.

The Museum cinematic could have been years before Overwatch is re-established and the kid could be aged up beyond 18 at that point

Throwing Reaper with ultimate ready in the middle of enemies could actually be really effective.
