Game/gunplay that isn't shit like the Witcher 3 is

no open world
for the love of god

That it doesn't fall for the Open World meme like Witcher 3 did, for one.

Kek. Guess you wont be playing it then. Who am I kidding ofc you will

>What are your hopes for the game?

A Korean MMO tier character creator.

Protip: the release date is in the title.

Graphics like Cyberpunk 3.0 core rulebook art.

Verticality and Aesthetics.

It's gonna need decent Gunplay and melee combat

If they can manage that while still reproducing the storytelling they utilized for the witcher, this shit will be golden.

I'm hoping the open world is more dynamic.

Like, I want to stroll downtown and randomly end up a bystander in a shoot out between psychosquad and a bunch of solo's

Or a cop on patrol who has to deal with a cyberpsycho while still just being a vanilla beat cop instead of a member of psycho squad.

This too.

Pondsmith is revamping Cyberpunk he's going to attempt to reissue an updated rulebook with the release of the game last I checked.

I hope so bad they go back to The Witcher 2 levels of linearity with big maps. Not only because it would make the game a million times better by default, but so fags like you would cry and go back to your shitty Elder Scroll games.

Top tier post that no one here will get.

Gonna have to fucking release Mekton Zero first goddamnit. Kickstarter was over two years ago and I still don't have my copy.

I sure as fuck hope it will. To be honest the main thing I'm hoping for is that it'll manage to combine some top-quality gameplay mechanics (mostly movement and gunplay, but a deep and fleshed-out character building/stats system would also be lovely) with a colorful (lots of neon, etc) yet bleak atmosphere. I wanna see some GitS-type shit.

I just want a coop cyberpunk game that plays like Blood Dragon, where I can play as a cybercop cracking down on criminals ala Judge Dredd.

>Raiding an alleyway like pic related and making multiple house calls on illegals while this plays in the background
>youtube.com/watch?v=7y3pspnwyoM
>The sounds of people screaming, doors being kicked down, and gunshots

Just fucking imagine.

lel nice assumptions you homo. First CDPR game was Witcher 1 but whatever helps you keep your delusions. seek help.

>Pondsmith is revamping Cyberpunk

I believe this is also part of the holdup and they probably can't do anything about it because, in the end, they're only making a video game while Pondsmith has to update the setting for the new edition.

As much as I despise open-world, I think it actually fits Cyberpunk 2077 fairly well.

I think overall they're trying to revive themselves entirely
Mekton Zero's facebook indicated they were trying to get sets of Mini-s frabricated in line with the Zero release.
They've also said they're restructuring it.

And Pondsmith himself, as indicated has to update the Cyberpunk setting.

Hear tell that 3.0 was fucking atrocious so he's got his work cut out.

>Rushing into cramped apartments full of druglords with your Model 1887, telling them to PUT THEIR HANDS UP AND GET DOWN while shooting the one who try to draw their weapons

Open world can work if they put the game entirely in Night City and make it dense as fuck. It's easier on geometry when you're working with urban locations, as far as rendering big large distances goes.

But that's how you see who actually knows his cyberpunk and who's only hyped because the trailer was shiny.

I'll be perfectly fine with a pre-determined character for the sake of story and meaningful decisions. Just let me have more freedom with my stats and appearance.

to be fair a lot of people would like to forget 3.0 ever happened

I try not to get hyped for videogames any more, but in this case I can't help it
Its going to hurt so much if it sucks

>Neo 80s grimdark cybershit.

For some reason I want chinese food.

Why don't people like open-world games suddenly? I thought it was very popular.

It's almost never done right.

Was it ever done right?

>CDPR in charge of not sucking the fun out of games
>Game is barely in pre-development and they're already marketing it's size

Not according to that contrarian fuck.

It is popular, which is why it's never done correctly.

Dragon's Dogma

RDR

Are you being serious? Worst part of Witcher 2 was the level design, the amount of backtracking is insane.

Well, if it's a well made open world I don't mind. Strolling around in the wet, neon-filled city nights, just having a good time. I see no problem in this.

Dragon's Dogma is good, but its more despite it's nature than because of it. The open world aspects are generally the weakest the parts.

RDR is a pretty good example though.

This.

>tfw you will never pack up and head to Bluemoon Tower again

It wasn't executed perfectly, but it definitely had that grand journey feeling that I've never gotten from another game.

Why did The Witcher 3 feel the need to slap your face and tell you where all of "Points if Interest" were? Does Poland not understand the concept of exploration?

I guess it cut out the middle man since 95% of the locations are the same 2-3 locales filled with garbage and the other 5% are just free skill points.

God dammit what a shit game never again.

>TW2
>good level design
What are you even doing here?

Why are there so many likes, it shows no gameplay, anyone who liked that youtube video is a fuccboi

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Lol what the fuck? The open world was the most boring aspect of the game. Nothing happened, and there was nothing to see. I'm not saying I want a fucking bethesda theme park, but ffs, at least try to make the world interesting.

>walking the neon filled streets
>listening to the ambience of the city
>suddenly stumble upon some action
>have a wild ride, take down the fuckers

Holy fuck I can't wait. Seriously, CDP, please don't fuck it up.

Gothic 1 and 2

No

Has there EVER been a game with a teaser trailer that has even come close to being as great as Cyberpunk 2077?

Yeah, the AssCreed revelations one. Its amazing.
