11 hours

Tell me, user, why did you buy a full price 11 hour game?

11 hours is actually pretty good. More than the expected "sweet spot" of 8 hours.

Better than the usual 6, and that's only if you burn right through it

11 hours is good for single player these days. Quit your jibberjabbering fool

This. That's honestly on-par with rushing through most modern Western RPGs.

better spending 11 hours on a good game than 30 hours on a bad one

I paid $38.

>11 hours is good for full price singleplayer game
I would prefer if you all ceased to exist.

How retarded do you even have to be to complete doom on 11 hours.

Maybe they should add some training wheels like uncharted did.

I'll beat it again with higher difficulty and play some multiplayer for shit and giggles. Will make 30 hours out of it and I'll have fun doing it

buyers remorse

You're supposed to crop out the times that aren't rush through and don't do everything, otherwise it invalidates your shitpost. git gud user.

I wanted to show 25 hours for "completionist"
compare to like 133 hours for Xenoblade X

Shooter single players actually last this long. Do you know a single one that goes longer? Even some of the best games like DMC have pretty short campaigns.

Well, it is. That's nearly two fucking weeks of gameplay if you play a healthy one hour per day. And then you can move on to another game, or perhaps replay and get all the hidden bits etc. Why do autists want to only ever play 150+ hour jrpg shit (which usually has most of that time spent on cut scenes)?

The campaign is pretty much prefect. Not every game has to be open world. There is zero padding in Doom. Also secrets aren't padding so don't even bother.

>every game has to be le ebic open world rpg

It's called "replayability" dumb spider poster. I will be playing the campaign multiple times, as well as multiplayer and snapmap. We're looking at hundreds of hours of potential play and dozens already logged in.

But please keep shitposting about a video games you've never touched

It's actually pretty good for an action packed single player shooter. Or maybe you'd prefer it to be as long as the first Doom, which is considered to be better by many people, so 2 hours long?

1) because it's really, really fun

2) it's very replayable. I played through it twice and will probably do it a third time this summer. 33 hours for 60 dollars is like 2 dollars an hour for a lot of fun. it's a great deal.

3) multiplayer's not that bad. not as good as singleplayer but still fun

>comparing two different genre's completion times
that isn't how it works, xenoblade is a rpg, noted for it's length. In this equation it would be considered an outlier. And twenty five fours is a perfectly reasonable exchange for sixty dollars, assuming you bought it for that much. or you could just use g2g like a sane person. I got mine for just under forty bucks.

make sure you get all your weapon stats for maximum artificial length!

That's pretty common for a action game. Now Starfox on the other hand can be completed in like 3 hours. Yet people still defended it.

Now you're scraping the barrel.

That's about average for the first playthrough of a Doom game. Haven't played 4 yet though, maybe it's not as replayable.

You literally never touched the game

I payed 30$ and not done yet at the 14h mark

Going on 20 hours in my first playthrough desu.

I've already spent 16 hours on the game and I'm only halfway through. Only a retard thinks sites like that can be accurate.

have you considered not being shit?

Jokes on you guys I payed $20

about the same for other Bethesda games if you remove all the bloat.

I feel like if the price was closer to $20 or $30 the reception would have been much more positive

and if the cyber demons didn't look like shit

prove that I'm bad at Doom

you can't

Completionist is the only one that metters, i wouldn't even dare to complete a level before finding every single little secret in it

The only one I can think of recently is DEHR

11 hours the first time through.
25+ hours for muh cheevos and secrets.
100+ hours because shooting shit is fun as fuck and there's almost zero bullshit to wade through.

it's 11 hours of pure kino, not many games can do that now.

Fuckin every little secret FUIUUUUCK FUUIUUUUCK FUCCCCK

defend this

Id rather attack that

make sure you hit the big glowing secret weak spot!

It's a bit short. I believe in £2 per hour, so will pay about £20 for a decent looking typical single player game.

It looks like a 3D version of the original Cyberdemon?

It's skin texture is well made but looks horrible, just like demon skin should.

I'm pretty sure that isn't actually a weak spot you imbecile.

Boy, it sure is a coincidence then that that's not a weak spot

does that actually more damage? Usually its just the head

what is that in people money?

$30/25€ I think.

>60$ for 11 hours
>11 Hours
>Movies hover around 2 hours in length
>Going to a Theatre is like 12 dollars
>5 x 12 is 60
>$60 for 10 hours of movies
>You get one WHOLE extra hour for this game
stop complaining.

>paying that much to see a movie

does your city not have a dollar theater user?

I wish it was 12$ where I live. Its 18$ for a ticket and if you want some popcorn you have to take a mortage on your house

Movies are generally better, people don't tend to go to the movies that much and I pay like £16 (about $25 I guess) for unlimited cinema trips a month.

I didnt, I paid $35.

I wonder how many fags are trying to justify buying brutal doom 2016

For a game like DOOM, 11 almost seem to be pushing it in length.

I'm serious, an action game that starts dragging its feet is fucking terrible.

It's great for multiple playthroughs. A large portion of the posters here, including me, bought Metal Gear Rising full price and voted it our GOTY.

I can't believe people are defending this.

No it isn't. Every game being 100 hours is ideal. So what if you don't finish it? Come back to it in 3 months.

RIP

You guys are really desperate for reasons to shit on this game huh?

Just admit that it's a good game and move on with your lives, god damn.

I feel like 40 is a good length to shoot for, before expansions.

Because I enjoyed it.

this post smells fishy

That's fine, sure. I doubt I'd finish a 40 hour game, but to say something is too long is absurd to me.

>It's skin texture is well made but looks horrible, just like demon skin should.
IIRC that is the same cyberdemon you killed in the first doom resurrected, it makes sense he looks like a re-animated corpse.

Reminder some of the best games ever released (Half Life, System Shock 2, Hitman Blood Money/Silent Assassin, DOOM II, American McGee's Alice, Metroid Prime, etc) are ~10-14hrs long, and some even better games (SMB3, Quake, Doom, Super Metroid, etc) are 4-8hrs long

it's about how good the game is, not how long it is niggers. Especially if it has replayability (something generally decided by how good it is), which the new DOOM may or may not have

>11 hours
LOL
>I-it's 11 hours if you take your time, real files, and really absorb the scenery.

>but to say something is too long is absurd to me.

The longer a game is the more likely it is to be poorly thought out and designed.

Just because you technically could throw in twice as many rooms with cyberdemons doesn't mean you should. Much better to make the game repayable then.

So Ocarina of Time is only 17 minutes long, you fucking brain dead faggot?

>counting speed-runs
So are you just mad your autism bux can't buy you the game this month?

25 hours for completion zozzle, I got all the ps4 trophies in 15 hours

its not over until you beat it on ultra nightmare as far as i'm concerned

And with a controller

1. If i buy a game for 60 bucks there is no way in hell I'm not going to do a 100% on said game. I want the full experience.
2. Being the shitter I am, Nightmare has taken about 35 hours to complete for me.

Game was really fun & enjoyable. Physical copy came with "season pass" (which I wasn't going to buy but hey - it's free) + extras like fabric patches and a poster, which is nice because I was buying the physical version just for the alt cover art, which is fucking awesome.

So I'd say I'm greatly pleased with this purchase.

Do all physical copies come with a season pass, or did you get a collectors edition or something?

>shooter
>controller

hardest difficulty

This game is so fast sometimes it astonishes me how people can play this with a joystick

I bought it for $30 in a G2A sale.
The campaign was nice, and the MP is quite good.

Because I got 40 hours of gameplay out of it with Singleplayer and Multi, so far.

Even if I won't play this game anymore tomorrow, at least I got 40$ worth, which wasn't a problem for me to spend in the first place.

However, tell me, user, why do you care on how people spend their money (hard earned or not) ?

Im playing it on ps4. Feels like doomguy is disabled. Cant wait for steam sales.

Yeah I agree the demon design is pretty "cartoonish", but other than that, this cyberdemons was an ACTUAL boss and not just a bigger imp with more health that took lik 200 plasma rounds to kill.

Since I'm not a retard who cares more about cosmetic shit than about GAMEPLAY, I'm very happy with the new cyberdemon. But yeah, the model could be more monstruous.

The box said "UAC pack", but was sold for 60€
The store was called GAME, I'm spanish so idk if other stores do that kind of deals.
Might not be the same in the Jewnited Snakes.

I payed 35 shekels though

>11 hours on singleplayer
Are they speedrunning this shit

92% positive reviews on steam out of about 10,000 reviews. Seems people like it.

I bought the game full price on launch and haven't even played it yet.

Turn off compass and objective markers, it makes the game longer in a more natural way without feeling like you're gimping yourself, highlights the well designed levels, makes it actually feel like a Doom game. The markers ruin it. I turned them off in my first playthrough and on in my second, they are utter shit, the levels are actually really well crafted if you just turn that shit off. The length is also incredibly well paced, I can replay each level and never feel a dull "shit I have to go through THIS part again" because its all so good and concise. I spent a lot of time in snapmap but after beating the game on Ultra Violence I had thirty hours in it.

Not trying to justify my purchase, justify myself to anonymous people, just how I honestly feel about the game

Look at it this way:

A standard, 2 hour movie is 12 dollars.

If this game is (let's round up for the sake of simplicity) 12 hours long, then going by the above metric, it should cost 72 dollars.

So really, 60 dollars for a 12 hour game is actually a great deal!

I eat that niggar raw 3 days at best even if I had a normal 8 hour job

not sure where you hail from jimbo but I guess it must be slowland that sits right next to autismland where you take your monthly vacation every year

Paid 50 freedombucks for it, I enjoyed myself and am looking forward to Doom 5 (or an expandalone if seeing machinegames mentioned in the credits was any indication).

make sure you go through the same fifty corriodrs again for your standard "natural" length.

>This.
Yeah, it clearly fucking states that they couldn't resist the idea of the ultimate demonic weapon and they reanimated this fucker.
Honestly, I started the game on nightmare mode and I have no complaints at all. Glory kills kinda fuck you over when you finish them, but that's about it.

GAMESHARE
and yes i'm going to buy it because i enjoyed the fuck out of it

Are you motherfuckers ready for the remake?

it depends solely on you

if you prefer raw gameplay and hours over anything then these people will not be satisfied with 11 hours 60 bucks

there is no wrong here also its not really anything special because you just walk around and shoot stuff

kinda a rip off

I would get it if it was a full priced point & click adventure game

>be console pleb
>buy brand new games for $60
>beat them in a week
>resell for $50

How's it feel to have to wait for a poorfag discount to buy AAA games for $10, PCucks?

YESSSSSS

Played on Nightmare from the start. Took me 25 hours to 100% it. Enjoyed every bit of it.

Cause it's fun

So what's the consensus? I know MP is shit, but how's the singleplayer?
