>point of game is finding people and helping them grow as you yourself grow
>main character is a flawless character who the males respect and the females fawn over
Why? Did they purposelessly want to go against the main point of the game? The nerdy retro game guy should of been the main character, he would start as a obvious dick but grow to be a truly good person.
Point of game is finding people and helping them grow as you yourself grow
It's easier for losers to self insert in flawless characters.
Because it makes the player feel good. You can self insert into someone highly unrealistic.
Then again, it really depends on the player. If you don't initiate any social interaction, don't study or keep up charm and other stats, you remain a lonely loser.
So it's kinda like in real life ain't it?
It's not my fault you identify as the creepy greasy haired lonely autistic gamer guy but not everyone wants to take the role of a character like that I like Narukami just fine over another typical beta twink. And he doesn't start out a perfect pussy magnet he only becomes that way if the player goes out of their way to do that to him. Why do people here think that if you don't want to play as an unlikable skinny cunt that you are in the wrong?
The point of the game is to find the Truth. Grey Haired Sakamoto is just bonus
He had no flaws though from beginning to end.
Why do you have to identify as the character you are playing as?
Even the Persona 3 MC, as blank slate as he was, still had a pretty defined character development arc
Rise is best girl
>TFW we wont have Waifu wars becuase all of P5's females look like shit
Was fun while it lasted
He is a silent protagonist he had no personality to get across how would they convey flaws?
No he didn't have a defined character that all came from his dialog options which varried vastly if you are talking about any of the p3 or 4 protagonists character or development then yu are talking about the anime or sequels because they sure as hell weren"t in the original game.
Also you do have to identify as the character you are playing as for an 80 hour adventure that's why it is called an RPG a Role Playing Game as in role playing. If you don't identify as who you are playing as then it takes you out of the experience which detracts from the entire point of role playing. Which is exactly why most Japanese protagonists are short boring black haired guys to properly draw in the widest range of their audience.
Rise pleases old men for money.
Just like Yukari
They could've made people dislike him at first, they could've said he has problems at home, anything really.
Except he's not flawless, they'res a ton of stats you have to build up to do anything
He is a silent protagonist user the only difference would be his appearance. he was only perfect if you made him that way and even then all it really did was unlock different dialog options quit complaining because you can"t play as some loser.
>Old men
Probably the worst fucking thing in doujins besides NTR. It's also annoyingly common.
Mindbreak places 3rd
No matter how you choose the dialog options, the Persona 3 MC will always be a suicidal kid with no family or friends, fights shadows to get his mind off of it, becomes a part of a close-knit group that slowly begins to truly care for each other, then sacrifices himself to save those who taught him that there are things worth living and/or dying for
>grow
>Persona
But that's not what the developer intended. That projects a predetermined personality onto a character that is for all intents and purposes, a blank slate that the player can insert their own personality into.
Well fuck me I guess I never played as a flirty guy who cracked jokes every opertunity he gets sorry user you were right.
There is never actually a set of options in the game that only gives you mean responses considering my character never said whatever or ... throughout the entire playthrough, and all that character development is just head canon he becomes friends with the sees only if you make him because otherwise he can just sleep everyday after school and be a dick in all of his options and still choose to beat the final boss. Stop acting like material outside of the original game like the manga and anime are canon.
Most characters for self-insertion aren't flawless.
>OP wanting to self insert as a fat neckbeard
Honestly it would be a whole lot more interesting to begin as a literal bottomfeeder and then become something like Yu.
P4G is better
Now that would be pandering to another level. Start out as a creepy videogame loving loser and becoming a pussy magnet during the course of the game how is that any better than what we got? There is nothing wrong with how it is that is why the people in charge are where they are and the sales are high to positively reflect their choices in the creation process with the minority like you unhappy but literally who cares?
>Adachi talks about people having it really easy in life
>The MC is literally one of those faggots that go on easy mode in life
>Great looks, respected by men, loved by women, super powers in a realistic setting, he is also the leader of a bunch of hot women...who also happen to have super powers
Because he worked his ass off for an entire year to get that Adachi has the same powers if not stronger than the entire team individually since he is a boss fight but complains and is too much of a shit to even be assed to make something of his life.
Quit sympathising with that retard he was literally the worst rather than working hard to improve and become someone that could be respected and loved he complained that he just magically wasn't even Yosuke felt the same about being sent to the boonies and feeling like it's a boring piece of shit but he at least did something about it and found other things to enjoy his time there and finding worth in Inaba rather than just stagnating complaining and cursing the world. Adachi was a complete loser in every sense of the word
