How do you feel about the gameboy Zelda games?

Minish Cap is my favorite game of all time.

Link's awakening was the best zelda nintendo has ever done. The oracle games were close as well. 2D zeldas are much better.

Pretty much the best Zelda games can be.

Four swords was awesome

Outside of the bosses. Link's Awakening has the worst bosses in the entire series, but it has an interesting overworld to explore (even while being somewhat linear), an interesting story and cast (mostly by focusing on a small cast), good items with usage in and out of dungeons (although the Power Bracelet is bullshit), and dungeons with interesting puzzles and combat (although the Defense Acorn was rarely useful.) It's a really well put together game.

Oracle Games are incredible, probably my favorite Zelda's. Dunno what happened post GBA though, the DS and 3DS Zelda's are kinda lame, remakes aside.

They are my favorite Zeldas.

and I finished everything except Skyward Sword

I liked Oracle of ages. Too bad I never got seasons to link the game.

I love the game's setting and atmosphere but so many of the dungeons in Link's Awakening are incredibly straight forward with only the last couple having any interesting puzzles in them.

Everything else about it is great but I think the dungeon (and boss) design is really lacking, even compared to the Oracle games.

Could always get them on 3DS

Minish Cap could have had another dungeon or two.

Never owned a handheld but I'm curious how they play. They're basically like LttP, right? Maybe I'll emulate them some day.

I loved Link's Awakening but on the whole I prefer 3D Zelda

The Oracles games are some of the best in the series in my opinion. LA and Minish Cap are great, too. MC especially is really nice on the eyes. I wish handheld Zeldas hadn't switched over to 3D.

GB Zeldas are easily the best 2D Zelda games, hands down.

They play like LttP but with some of the later ideas tossed in. They have more actual puzzles and the overworlds have a lot more unique environments and interesting quirks.

Aonuma is a hack

Much better than the 2D console games. LA and the Oracles are the best 2D games in the series.
