It's low budget and grindy as hell. If you can get past that, it's a fun game. Being able too freely fly through the worlds is great.

I picked it up during bestbuy clearance for $12.50.

It's fairly good so far. And you don't really have to worry about grindy. Just let npcs do the grinding when you go to sleep or go out. Turn off all auto sleep shit on the ps4 vita settings. Fly over a area of monsters that can't fly or throw shit at you. And just hover there while npcs grind while you go to sleep.

This game is way less grindy than the previous Hallow Fragment.

Log Horizon is way better, both plot wise and accuracy to JP MMOs. Also (subjectively) better characters.

hollow fragment is far better than shit anime, and has truckload of content

lost song is average at best, and short -- worth $5 maybe

lost song had alright mechanics but so little to do that it didn't feel worth it, feel like would've needed at least 4 more islands

and the online made it feel like an ultra-lite MH clone that you get bored of very fast

whole time I played lost song I just kinda feel like re-playing HF despite inferior combat

While Hollow Fragment did have way more shit... it's also way more grindy. Worse battle system. Combat took much longer and you'd have to actually grind like a korean mmo to get anything done.

Lost Song wasn't nearly as grindy at all. You could actually get through it without grinding much.

Gameplay-wise it's a massive improvement over Hollow Fragment. No more running for fifteen minutes to find appropriate level enemies.

Even with slight quality of life improvements like accessing your warehouse from anywhere at anytime, there are still tons of logical errors that were never fixed, like bad AI allies. You could set up a team with only offensive abilities, and they will just stand there when there are half a dozen enemies in the room.

Is it as good as the anime? No. You get party members in large groups early in the game. Most have almost zero scenes outside of their single image event.

I hate to say it, but buying it at the ridiculous cost of $39.99 is insane.

That was an awesome sale. Amazon had a knee-jerk reaction, but everything was only as low as $19.

I check just yesterday and there were rooms up. People still playing online. But you never need to go online at all since you can just bring npcs and do all the quests with npcs.

Neither need online, HF didn't even have online until the PS4 version (which I haven't played)

Lost Song online just makes it feel less boring at best while doing the 100 extra quests, but is in no way required.

SAO could be decent game if you weren't Kirito.
You start as character you make yourself, if you are fast enough you get dual wield skill instead of Kirito and are special snowflake. Or other skills.
Bonus points for ability to kill Kirito or anyone from main cast.
But all in all, it would be all about grinding 100 floors to get to the top. Then if you took too long there are barely any other 'player' characters to help you defeat last boss.
There would be ability to create guilds, hunt some player killers.
Real singleplayer mmo for lonely autists like me.
