Is a good sequel even possible?

Is a good sequel even possible?
Or should they leave it and make a game with one of the other supernaturals in the property?

Let go of your nostalgia.

Bloodlines was far from perfect and making a game better than it is not even close to an impossibility. Even if another Vampires game is not better than Bloodlines it's not a big deal, it doesn't need to be great, just good is enough.

You're a massive faggot.
Bloodlines is an amazing game.

>game
As a game, it's fucking terrible. The gameplay is literally the worst. Should've been a point and click adventure or just flat out not have combat at all in its current form.

Fuck off. It's has some good writing but some appalling gameplay and these are games, after all, not fucking books. Not to mention it's horrendously bug ridden.

Anyone who calls that "amazing" is a fucking idiot.

look I found someone who hasn't played it on release.

It's an amazing choose your own adventure novel you mean

Found someone who hasn't played it at all.

>replay the game recently going for seduction
>there's like 3 fucking seduction checks that aren't just for sucking blood
If they ever do a sequel I hope they improve the actual ability to roleplay, social skills are borderline fucking useless because the game forces you to engage in combat or just run past enemies to actually progress the story. Doesn't help that the combat is awful either.

>Le fighting is the only thing that matters meme
Almost as bad as graphics faggots

>Is a good sequel even possible?

no, just imagine if they make a character even anywhere near jeanette or vv people will go apeshit or if you can have a woman ghoul again the game will be a called a power fantasy rape simulator.

>gameplay does matter

Go read a book, muh writing faggot.

Really the only thing this game has going for it is the atmosphere and the writing, I don't think it would be that hard to get those things right while actually including worthwhile gameplay and roleplaying mechanics that work and are fleshed out. There's so much wasted potential in this game.

possible. The actual gameplay only needs to be passable. No fancy shit. What needs to have the most attention to detail is the writing and atmosphere.

I REAAAAAALLLLY hope the sequel doesn't get turned into a huge open world game. I liked how tightly knit bloodlines was.

What do you mean "turned into" an open world game?

Bloodlines was an open world game.

this. It's just another overated 7/10 game at much.

key word is "huge".

these are the same faggots that will shit on witcher 3 for the same exact reason.

Old games and nostalgia faggots are the worst. it's a good game at best, with tons of flaws.

They can make another Vampire game without it having to be a sequel to Bloodlines, just like Bloodlines wasn't a sequel to Redemption

Do something better from the universe. I'm not a furfag, even though Werewolves are far more interesting. Hunters are lame as fuck.

Mage, Wraith, and Changeling would be interesting and prime games if we're talking cWoD.

nWoD would be fine with something like Geist, but what I could really fucking get behind is a god damn Prometheus game. That shit has potential to be like the Ghoul perspective of Fallout, but infinitely cooler.

Don't Promethians have the same problem playing Nosferatu have?

>Would like to see masterfully executed, adaptive and fun Werewolf: the Forsaken game
>looking at dev track records in last ten years or so makes me hope it confines to oVampire instead

Not initially. When around people, the people eventually begin to feel "disquiet", which means that they recognize something is wrong about the Promethean. Disquiet also taints the area they're in overtime. Depending on the Promethean type or whatever, as I remember, along with how long someone is in their presence, it changes how people react to the Promethean. It would be really cool in a mishmash of concepts between Planescape and VTM:B truth be told.

Most people in regular environments tend to suppress their disquiet when they talk to someone and feel it because it's socially proper to do so. Majority would simply dismiss it as "just not liking that one guy" even though he looks perfectly fine. It could open up dialogue possibilities or allow you to goad more aggressive individuals into a fight.

Please do Exalted.

...then again , please don't , I don't want another excuse for SJW shit

Exactly. The RPG itself plays like Planescape on paper. It's really orientated around character interaction and the search for what essentially boils down to your purpose and becoming mortal, or the "Pilgrimage" as it's actually called. In the end, the only escape from Disquiet is through the Pilgrimage.

Long term effects environmental are tricky to do in a game.

True. Players would try to exploit the system as well, just because it's in many people's nature to test the limits of things. Couldn't you tie each area to a timer that over time, slowly changes the assets? I know it's expecting a lot, but going from something mildly lush for example to a wasteland isn't specifically hard it seems, but I believe the wasteland created is relative to the lineage you come from as well. That'd probably be the most advanced part of the game, but it's the same thing as changing seasons. Even if you tie it to events and make excursions in towns slightly more linear, it could work.

In the end, the possibility of a Promethean title over something more popular is super unlikely, but give it a few years and the technology would certainly be at a level to be both dynamic and gorgeous in presentation.

He was stating the opposite. The games good writing is let down by the shitty combat
